"VERY friendly and CLEAN hotel"
We enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was super friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean! When we checked in there was a miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping so they were actually still cleaning our room when we arrived upstairs. I didn't mind at all because the room smelled of bleach and I knew it had been cleaned well […] (and they didn't clean it just because I was waiting there, it already smelled and looked great when I arrived). The only negatives were that the hot tub was out of order and the location is a ways out of town. But laramie is a small town and nothing is really that out of the way, though if you've never been before, you could get confused trying to find the hotel as it's not near the main parts of town. "Thin Walls"
Were it not for my neighbour with the very bad smoker's cough, my rating would be higher. Unfortunately, he horked and coughed at all hours - finaly waking me at 4 a.m. and then keeping me awake. "Dont' stay here if you want a quality night sleep!"
Our room was located next to the elevator, and across from the mechanical room. As if this wasn't bad enough, contruction noise did not stop until after 11PM, and started the next morning at 5AM. The sheets did not fit the bed--kept popping off the corners as I tossed and turned due to the noise of elevator, mechanical room, and construction. It was wonderful except for the fact that there were about twenty dogs or more in this hotel.Apparently they allow pets. "Stay here only if you're hard of hearing"
Can't believe all the noise in this place. Overhead noise from heavy footsteps above us--must be cheap construction. Doors slamming day and night. But the worst problem was the dog noise. "One night before the Tetons"
We booked two rooms for our large family. Unfortunately couldn't get adjoining rooms, but was able to get rooms next to each other. Clean rooms. Continental breakfast was OK. It would have been nice if the attendant would have placed out more eggs and waffle batter -- there wasn't enough for our family and there didn't seem to be any effort to add items. "Hairy shower"
This hotel isn't very convenient if you will be spending time in Laramie. Probably not bad if you just need a night's sleep somewhere on the interstate. The room was nice, the bed was big and pretty comfy. However, the shower had a glob of long brown hair (not ours) on the shower wall. Pretty gross. Beware of the Pet Room "Bait and Switch" . We booked this hotel through Expedia and indicated that we were bringing a small pet on our reservation. The hotel's policy clearly states that they are pet friendly and charge a fee for pets. When checking in, the front desk staff insisted on charging us double the fee for our pet because "they had to put […] us in a non pet room". What a scam!!!! The place was almost completely empty when we checked in so I'm confident that it is a tactic to generate additional revenue. I would recommend this for anyone traveling to see a college student from out of town. After a 6 hour drive, we were so comfortable in our room. The hotel was clean and impeccable. When I went to check in there was a bride/groom also checking in. That should have been a warning but I didn't think anything of it, until 2 am. We happened to be in the room next to them and I guess their wedding party decided to do just that (party). Even though we were in a non smoking room, the smell of smoke was overwhelming.
