"Lovely hotel and very affordable"
This Hampton Inn is located very close to Reagan National as it claims and is conveniently accessible by shuttle or Metro. Via the Metro, the hotel is only one stop away; beware if you have heavy luggage though as the Metro escalators are somewhat unpredictable. If you decide to take the Metro, take the exit straight up the escalators (skip the shopping), […] take a right when you surface, and go over the overpass so that you avoid having to cross busy Jefferson Davis Highway (which I did not figure out until my third and final night there!). The hotel itself is fairly clean and modern. There is a small gym and pool in the back and there is a small toiletries/food/drinks section next to the check-in. Complimentary coffee is served round the clock (at three different strengths) in the dining area. The complimentary breakfast is wonderful. I took avail of it every morning I was there and especially loved the cheese omelets and the wafflemakers. The room itself was also very reasonably priced and met my expectations in terms of comfort. The king-sized bed was comfy. The rooms come with flat panel TVs, microwaves, and fridges, which was great. We stayed on the 8th floor and had a decent view of Jefferson Davis Highway. The surrounding area has some decent eats. On nearby 23rd Street, a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, you can find food from Italian to Thai to sushi to Ethiopian to Afghani. There’s also more standard fare such as Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Starbucks on the other side of 23rd Street. When we left for the airport, we asked one of the folks at the front desk to page the shuttle for us and luckily, we didn’t have to wait longer than 10 minutes. A great, great hotel at a reasonable rate. We were just down the street from the Radisson, Holiday Inn, Sheraton and others. We paid less than any of these mentioned. In addition, you can walk within five minutes to the Metro. There are any kind of restaurants from casual (McDonalds) to fine dining (Morton's and Ruth's Chris) within two blocks. Hampton inn er et sted man får meget for pengene. Som andre også skrevet er morgenmaden rigtig god med både æg (forskellige variationer fra dag til dag), nogle dage med bacon, andre med pølse, yoghurt, muffins, lav selv vafler, cereals med mælk, samt kaffe, te og juice. Hotellet ligger lige ud til en stor vej, men vi hørte dog ikke noget til det.
