Situated across the Potomac River in Virginia, the Ronald Reagan National Airport is the closest airport to downtown DC. Visitors can take a car or hop on the Metrorail to get to the capital or its area suburbs. The hotels and office buildings of Crystal City rise near the airport. Neighboring Pentagon City is home to two upscale developments, The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and Pentagon Row.
see all hotels in Arlington"convenient location, not so convenient shuttle"
The hotel is very conveniently located within a 5-minute shuttle ride of Reagan Airport and 1 1/2 blocks from a Metro station. The hotel shuttle to the airport had a reasonable wait time (10-15 minutes); however, when I requested a pickup from the Metro station and a nearby restaurant (because I had hurt my knee), I waited 40 and 60 minutes, respectively, […] and ended up taking a taxi in the latter case. The complementary breakfast offered a lot of variety. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. There was a constant roaring noise in the bathroom, coming from exposed pipes above the sink, which made it hard to go to sleep. I was on the top floor, maybe the HVAC unit was right above my room? nice first 2 days, but then all the school groups and sport groups came in. you couldn't get close to breakfast and don't even think of moving through the lobby with large groups hanging out there each morningGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Proximity to Reagan Airport"
Excellent service. Unfortunately, it is not a non-smoking hotel, which one notices once you step into the hotel. Our room however did not smell smoke, but the A/C is noisyGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not the nicest hotel but the price was good."
The pillows were the worst I have ever had and the bedspread was lumpy. The check-in counter staff was pleasant and courteous as was the shuttle driver. The bathroom was outdated and there were some carpet stains but overall for DC it was acceptable - especially for the price. The Metro station was only a few blocks away so it was convenient for travel […] and the Metro station had some shopping there before you needed a Metro card. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Never use hotel.com"
Hotel was nice but we were given a handicap room. When we asked about it the hotel staff told us its because we went through a third part. So this will never happen again. The room was nice but we had a king with pillows just bigger than throw pillows. Breakfast was good but the handicap room really ticked me off.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Up and down experience"
When we got there to check in, "something had happened" and there was no room available for us. So we had to stay at a hotel next door. Then we have to "move back" the next day. This was a HUGE inconvenience! The hotel next door did not have a pool or free breakfast, but we were told we could come over for those amenities. When we did check in the next […] day, both of our air conditioners and mini-fridge were broken. It took 2 days to get that resolved. The staff were extremely nice and considerate, but these details really threw me off my game and were an enormous nuisance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"2 WORDS: UNDER CONSTRUCTION"
My stay was OK; the room was clean and my towels were replenished everyday, we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy our favorite shows on a really big flat screen, and parking was secure. The complimentary breakfast had great hours and was ok one day and great the next so it's really your call, the staff were friendly- though seemingly under experienced. With […] all of that being said, everything seemed a little too good to be true...and it was. Throughout my stay I couldn't help but notice the signs of remodeling; doors propped open, banging of paint rollers on shared walls, equipment being lugged from one end to the other (sometimes blocking the way), and furniture in the hallways. I paid a good amount to book this hotel (plus parking) and the least they could've done was be prepared (or at least faked like they were). This was a huge deal breaker for me and spoiled the stay even more whenever i heard the paint rollers banging as I attempted to get some sleep. If it had not been for the remodeling, this hotel would have actually gotten my vote for recommendation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel, but...."
Beautiful hotel, room was extremely clean and well appointed. Very comfortable bed. The hotel charged a $12/night parking fee which did not agree with the Expedia ad that sold me on the hotel - it specifically said "free parking" which is why I chose this hotel. They would not waive the fee even when told of the discrepancy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"bedroom"
This was a wonderful hotel except for the bed. My wife and I woke up each day with a sore back. It just was not comfortable at all. I have stayed in cheaper hotels and sleep like a baby. That was the only issue I had. My wife didn't like the swimming pool because it was like 95degree water.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hampton Inn-Alexandria"
There are numerous hotels in the same area, but for the price, it's okay. The hotel offers a free continental breakfast, but get down there early, there is limited seating. When they say check-in is at 3pm, they mean it. We showed up 15 minutes early and had to wait as did a couple of other guests.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ok hotel"
About a block from Metro station. Nice breakfast but not near enough tables and chairs. Room was ok.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hampton Inn & Suites Arlington"
The hotel is actually convenient to the metro, although we didn't figure it out until the end of our stay. The hotel staff told us to go out the back door & turn left so we walked all the way around Crystal City to get to the metro. It was actually, if you go out the back door to the right), two blocks down and to the right about a block. There are […] a lot of restuarants around the area on 23 St. A fun sports bar that had good food & a pizza place. Beds are small full beds but pretty comfortable. Breakfast is an usual in free, all you can eat buffets but free! All in all a good hotel for the price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Aptly located but old"
Although this hotel is very aptly located in the crystal city area, the rooms and bathrooms have old and weathered fittings which doesn't bode well with the prices the hotel charges.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel in Crystal City, Arlington VA - good & bad"
The good: this hotel as situated very close to the metro station which took us directly to the most popular tourist destinations. The room was clean and large. The free breakfast buffet rivaled any restaurant and offered excellent variety. The bad: We experienced plumbing problems in our room one evening and there was no maintenance person on night […] shift. The manager was not permitted to leave the front desk to assist us. The hotel did not have the equipment to clear our plumbing and had to borrow from another hotel. The equipment was delivered to our room at 1:00 a.m., and two ladies were left to figure out how to fix the problem ourselves. I don't think that would even happen at Motel 6. "Okay stay"
The evening staff were very nice. The hallway to the room had a strong smell of smoke, although the room itself did not smell bad. It was worth the money, I suppose. The positives are that is only 2-3 stops away from Dupont Circle on the Red Line and it is a 5 min ride to the airport via cab or shuttle. A shuttle is provided, but it does not start running […] until 6 a.m. in the morning; If your flight is at 7 a.m., you ought to be fine but in any case make sure you plan travel time to the airport accordingly because the shuttle picks up at other hotels on the way to the airport. The breakfast buffet was also nice, and included in the price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
