"Nice and inexpensive"

"Close to Pentagon and Great Price"
I thought my stay with this hotel was not going to be very good, judging by the price of our room. It was surprisingly inexpensive and not bad. The room was clean, the front desk very cheerful, friendly and accommodating. They have a decent FREE breakfast with your standard waffles, eggs, cereal fruit, AYCE. The FREE shuttle to the Metro Stop in Pentagon […] City is convenient, although it can be bit tardy at times. FREE car parking at the hotel is probably the biggest thing I loved. Other than the fire alarm going off, no hot water the first night, broken coffee maker in room, and no towels the first night, it was a good experience. The staff was helpful and pleasant. It was a little bit gross, un-maintained feeling. Almost like it was hard to tell if the sheets had been changed. And the comforters were old and gross. The bar/restaurant had good food. "Get what you pay for"
This hotel is on the inexpensive side and it lives up to what I paid. I needed a location close to DCA airport for a single night. When arriving we had to drive through motel parking lot and I was thinking....oh no! Then I saw the comfort inn building and was relieved to see I was in an actual hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and they smiled! […] The rooms were a bit outdated and the bedding was somewhat old looking. The bed and pillow comfort was fine but not great. Breakfast was included and it was typical waffle and scrambled egg buffet style. It met my expectations. Overall, hotels in this area are always expensive. If I was bringing my wife and kids I would pay more for a nicer hotel. On a solo business trip for one or two nights I would stay at the comfort inn again. It met my expectations. The hotel was very clean and room was pleasant. Some of the staff were helpful but others could use some training. Breakfast was good but very crowded. This hotel is conveniently located off the freeway. The staff was very friendly, and willingly answered questions about the surrounding areas. It was slightly difficult to find, and concerned me at first because you need to drive through and around the Best Western parking lot...I was worried I had booked the Best Western which wasn't as nice. This hotel is exactly what I wanted - clean, comfortable and amazingly convenient to DCA - it took me 7 minutes to get there. It was not luxurious, but it was very clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, and the parking was free. My only complaint was that the room was very light - I never understand putting blackout curtains on windows […] that the light seeps around - what's the point? Staff forgot to tell me, when I inquired by phone two days earlier about shuttle service from DCA Metro, that shuttle service ends at Midnight. I arrived at Union Station at 2330, hopped on Metro, arrived at DCA Metro at 0012. Phoned hotel for shuttle pickup: "Sorry, shuttle's over. Take a taxi; about $10" "Will you pay for my taxi, since your staff […] failed to inform me of this limited service? "No, the website says shuttle ends at midnight." "Use if nothing else is avalable"
The whole hotel needs an update. The breakfast was good and the location was okay. There were a good amount of resturauts about 6 blocks away. The lobby rug was stained and the reception counter was small and uninviting. The shuttle service is fair going to the train station, some people could not get on, but comming back was far worse, there were way […] too many passengers for their small van. Overall the hotel was nice. Check-in was smooth. The room was rather large, beds comfortable, pillows ok, wide selection of tv channels. The air conditioning was very quiet and kept the room cool. The only disappointment of the stay was the breakfast.
