The road to Arlington passes by the solemn Lincoln Memorial and leads to hallowed ground: the Arlington National Cemetery. This resting spot includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the graves of John F. and Robert Kennedy. Arlington County is home to other symbols of US military might, including the Pentagon and the US Marine Corps War Memorial, better known as the Iwo Jima Memorial.

"Good value"
Staff was friendly, responded quickly to my requests. All expected basics supplied including a coffee maker and refrigerator. Room was clean. Hotel just converted to non-smoking as of April 12, 2013 so those who are sensitive will still detect the smell. Free parking; there is easy access to Metro via a twelve minute bus ride to Rosslyn Metro (1.9 mi). […] I walked to Courthouse Metro several times (1 mi). Neiborhood just off Lee is mostly residential and looked safe to me, several stores and restaurants within half mile on Lee Hwy. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
ROOM SMELLED OF SMOKE. ASKED FOR NON-SMOKING ROOM. STAFF VERY PLEASANT.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Most affordable during Cherry Blossom Festival"
The reason to stay here is price and location. You can jump on a no. 3 bus that runs on Lee Hwy in front of the hotel and go to Rosslyn to catch either the Orange or Blue Metro lines into D.C. Also, a walk or bus ride down to the business districts of Virginia Square, Claredon, Courthouse and Ballston is easy for having dinner. The neighborhood is a […] safe and pleasant suburb. "Adequate for the price"
Though the rooms are small and the sound of a noisy neighbor can carry, the place is fine for a brief stay if economy and cleanliness are the goal. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is no more than coffee, a piece of fruit while it lasts and a packaged muffin. Good location for getting in and out of D.C.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"3.5 start rating about right."
Clean and neat. Breakfast offerings meager. Can't eat all that sugar. No cereal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was fine for what I needed - but the breakfast is pretty pitiful!!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place"
For the amount of money the room cost it met all expectations. It's a no frills type of place but for this trip that met my needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Arlington hotel"
We have used this hotel before. The rooms are small but do have refrigerators and microwave ovens. The beds are reasonable but are getting old (squished where people sit and watch TV). It is inexpensive for the area and has close access to public transportation.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awkward access and mold in the bathroom"
Clerks were polite but disinterested. The bathtub/shower had significant mold in corners and seams. Every room had a "No Smoking" label on the door, but the smell of cigarette smoke was pervasive in the hallway. The driveway entrance is a steep hill-climb from the street and the hotel entry from the parking lot is not evident. This hotel seems to be […] about eight miles from everything, and is located in a difficult to find, hard to get to and from part of Lee Highway (Route 29). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cost-effective for a quick stay but that's it..."
We arrived to spend one night / one day to enjoy the National Mall before heading to the rest of our vacation. I wanted something cheap and as close as I could get to the Mall. We had a rental car so getting places was easy and there's a bus on the hotel's road that will take you to the Roslyn Train station, although taking a cab to it is much quicker […] and almost as cost effective. To stay here you really need a car to get around unless you know the bus schedules. There seemed to be plenty of parking on the Mall on the Wednesday we were there, so I think just driving there would have worked fine too. Proximity and neighborhood were good (and safe) - supermarket, restaurants, coffee places, etc. However, the room was small and not very comfortable and breakfast was almost non-existent (prepackaged orange juice and danishes, and a couple apples). It fit the bill for us for a quick stay but wouldn't stay there for any longer than a night or two. If we go there again, I would stay in downtown Roslyn, right next to the train station with shopping within walking distance. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good deal compared to most hotels in the city."
Overall good. The hotel needs to improve in room wi-fi and if a guest ask for wake up calls they should follow through. Convienant location with grocery store and small affordable restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location"
The room was small but adequate, and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was somewhat cramped, and no hooks to hang anything on which was very inconvenient. (It resulted in my underwear falling into the toilet, which didn't have a lid.) The walls were poorly insulated, so that if the water was running in the next room, it was pretty loud in […] our room. But that wasn't very often, so it wasn't too bad. You got what you paid for, I guess. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Said queen, but only a double!"
We stayed for five days, we had gotten a queen because we have a 7 month old and they don't offer cribs. When we went into the room it was only a double. The room is small and they were renovating so the hallways smelled of paint. The breakfast was muffins and apples. But great food located just up the street and a Safeway within walking distance. For […] the price, a good place to sleep. If you plan on staying in the room, best to find another place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for the price"
We picked this hotel because it was close to D.C. but much less expensive than the hotels in downtown. Overall, the hotel was fairly clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly except for a few of the people at the front desk, who seemed to not really care about much of anything. The hotel was too far from the metro rail to walk to it but there […] was a bus stop right across the street that can take you to the nearest station in a few minutes. Just don't expect the buses to ever run on time so be prepared to wait. Also, the hotel is situated ontop of a fairly steep hill, which can be quite uncomfortable to climb up after a long day of walking around the city. The neighborhood didn't offer much, but there was at least a CVS and a Safeway nearby, and a couple food places. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Reasonable hotel to stay"
Although the hotel boasts of non smoking rooms, hotel smells of cigar all over the hallway and the rooms. Good location, complimentary breakfast is okay, but the service on call particularly during nights is bad. No good internet connectivity. When you complain about a problem during night, the front office girl requests to call back again next morning. […] This shows no-cooperation between the staff members when they change shifts. Good thing about this hotel is that they do not charge for parking. Overall not a bad hotel to stay in and enjoy the city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not That Spectacular"
The help was very friendly, the rooms were a bit over priced. You received no toothpaste and they did not sell any. You are not close to any convenient stores and the entrance of the hotel is up a steep hill, which was a daily nightmare. With that being said one of the delights is it was near public transportation (busses to metro train railways).Genuine Expedia guest review

"Honest, helpful staff"
The room was comfortable. We had to request an iron, hair dryer, ironing board, which was a minor inconvenience. A safe in the room would make a big difference-carrying around my jewelry, etc. was annoying. "inns of virginia alrlington"
The staff seemed lackadaisical. I reported that there was no TV remote in my room. The clerk told me to double check (which I had), and I still found no remote. When I reported this to the clerk, she said someone might be by in half an hour. As it was 11:30 PM, and I just wanted to relax for 45 minutes before bed, this did not go down well with me. "Inns of Virginia, Arlington"
As far as the cleanliness of the room and location to public transportation/metro system, quite good. If you're looking for a decent continental breakfast, this isn't it. "You get what you pay for"
We booked this room because it was inexpensive, close to a Metro Station and close to DC. The staff was very friendly. The room was small, the bedspread smelled like urine, the pillows were very thin and when we requested another pillow we were told that they were not clean yet and never ended up getting more pillows. The free continential breakfast […] consisted of packaged muffins, packaged pastries, orange juice and coffee. We only had the breakfast one day, the rest of the days we ate at McDonalds. Overall, we got what we payed for. If you are looking for an inexpensive room close to DC and a Metro station then this is your hotel, just make sure to bring your own pillow! Desk staff were not pleasant or attentative. "One of the cheapest liveable hotels in DC"
Comfortable enough hotel. Service was OK but think on arrival chap behind desk was having a bad day. Good price for DC, but a bus & metro ride from the city and not really walkable. If you are on a budget, willing to travel and have a car to get there then go here, if not then spend a little more for a closer and more convenient location.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Don't go hungry"
The hotel is a fairly modest effort. Kept clean, which is good. The "continental breakfast" is rather a joke. It consisted of refrigerated bagels and frozen butter pats and coffee. Not even cream cheese, to say nothing of enough plastic knives to go round. It's basically a bed and a roof, which is what I needed. Wouldn't travel there for pleasure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
