"I hated the Holiday Inn"
Well, let me start with the frowning face at the customer service. She didn't even crack a smile..I requested a king size bed, I go there, they are having constructions, but don't worry " they gave me a coupon for free coffee" so instead I get double bed. When I expressed my connivance, she simple said " oh well, we have to give you what ever we have"...I […] hate the word "whatever, because I am not " whatever". "Terrible wouldn't stay again"
When we got there, they had given up our king bed and gave my girlfriend and I 2 double beds. The people were jerks that checked me in and the room was so grimmy. The bathroom looks dirty and doesn't look or feel like a luxury hotel at all. Also it's extremely loud with a lot of drunk kids running around. Also you will hear lots of random noises everywhere […] while your in the room. "Mixed reviw"
The room was clean but the elevator was a big issue, I waited so long for it to come to the floor and when it did it was jam packed with people. The other issue was the luggage carrier, there was none to found so I had to make 5 trips to the car and this and the elevator problem made me late for a very important meeting and caused me a lot of stress. […] I probably will not stay here again because of the bad experiences I had. The staff was not very helpful and seemed put out if I asked for help. "Horrible hotel, stay somewhere else!"
I would not stay at this hotel again! After a room change to get away from the elevator which was right in front of the room, they moved us to a old, unrenovated room, which had mold and was in horrible condition. After paying extra to cover the breakfast for my family, the restaurant advised me that my 2 daughters would not be covered because they […] were over the age of 12yrs old! The hotel restaurant was closed at least 2 hours earlier then posted. After 3 calls to the front desk, I went down to the front desk to get my own towels, which the front desk did not seem concerned with. Not satisfied at all, the service sucks and when you call the front desk and ask them simple questions they coouldnt answer it and they will put you on hold without even letting you know. "Would not recommend"
We came in late, and the hotel was chaotic and busy. Desk staff was flustered, and the desk manager was a jerk. Elevators were packed, and we had to wait several "loads" to even get our luggage upstairs. Parking (and parking instructions from desk staff) was abysmal (though free). Hallways were torn up (base boards were being replaced?) with debris […] littered on the carpet. Room was relatively clean; however, the shower barely worked and was extremely noisy. This hotel is so old that it should be made one of the monuments of DC. Poor service. The staffs don't even smile. "What were they thinking?"
We had 4 people staying, including my 6 ft. tall 15 year old son. Our original reservation gave us one bed, many hotel websites see 4 people and will not allow reservations to be made unless they are for 2 beds. I fixed that about a week before we arrived. Our room was supposed to have 2 double beds. instead we had a suite with a king and a pull out. […] At 11:00 at night we found that it wasn't a pull out, it was just a love seat. They switched our room, now we had a pull out that was only big enough for a twin mattress. My daughter ended up sleeping on the floor. The outdoor balcony was painted that afternoon and the room smelled of paint. The city was very crowded that weekend and to find another hotel at that hour would have been very difficult. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, but the front desk was disorganized, I mean how can you put 4 people in a room made for 2 and then switch them to a room made for 3. "Key to someone else's room"
Reception staff were very bad, not at all what you would expect from a hotel with a decent reputation. We arrived early and we asked if there was a room available, if by chance they had one already available, it would be great to rest already. Otherwise, happy to stroll til check in time of 3. Girl at the reception was quite rude about it, suggesting […] we were ignorant of 3pm checking and would not have it other way. The attitude and manners were awful. Once we got the room, exactly at 3pm, walked in... looked around and there were some cables and a laptop on the table next to the bed, there were a couple of suits hanging up and a suitcase..... it occurred to us that they had given us someone else's room...... back to reception again to get it corrected.... Þjónustan var léleg, byrjað var á því að tilkynna að rukka ætti fyrir morgunmat en þegar hótelið var bókað kom fram að morgunmatur væri innifalinn. Fjórar lyftur voru á hótelinu, en svo virtist sem aðeins ein þeirra væri í lagi og því var alltof langur biðtími eftir lyftu. "Gute Lage, nette Zimmer, Wifi kostenlos"
Das Rosslyn at Key Bridge liegt in einem Geschaeftsviertel von Arlington, die Metro ist in ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuss zu erreichen. Von hier sind es 3 Stationen zu Metro Center und 4 Stationen zu den Smithonian Museen. In der Umgebung befinden sich eine Menge Restaurants und Fastfood Ketten, so dass man auch nicht zwingend nach Washington reinfahren muss […] um etwas zu essen zu finden. Wer plant mit dem Bus aus New York anzureisen, die Firma Tripperbus haelt an dieser Metro Station und der Service ist guenstig und gut(inkl. Wifi). Unser Zimmer war im 14. Stock und recht gerauemig. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bett bequem. Der kostenlose Wifi Internetzugang funktionierte tadellos. Es wurden waehrend unserem Aufenthalt mehrere Pizza Flyer unter der Tuer durchgeschoben. Leider haben wir bei einem Anbieter bestellt, das war mit Abstand die schlechteste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Die Pizzeria ist allerdings nicht Teil des Hotels.
