"Great Conference location"

"Great stay for our family"
This was an older hotel but well taken care of and very clean. Every staff member was pleased to help us with any need, even toothbrushes for my children and me. I purchased the "breakfast included" option and it was well worth the minimal extra. I expected pastries for what I paid and we enjoyed a full buffet including a chef who made omelets to order. Overall, I like this hotel, but there was an incident. We stayed two nights. We found the house keeper did not finish her job and left the room with bed sheets off from bed. She might think we already checked out and consider my room as no urgent room. She also removed my belongings such as tooth brush, paste and drinking water bottles. We stayed at the Marriott for one night and had breakfast included with our room. The hotel is very close to the subway, so getting into downtown is easy. Literally one stop from DCA airport, you can access the Metro without going outside from this hotel. At half the cost of staying downtown, you can enjoy all the sights of DC. "Convenient to the metro"
Although we were staying at the hotel for a conference, we did jump on the metro to go into DC. The metro station is connected to the hotel through a weird underground mall, but quite accessible. Note: there are two Marriotts (gateway and Crystal city) and both are connected through this underground mall. The rooms were clean, the service prompt. "Great hotel, with only minor issues."
It was a business trip, with some quick sight-seeing visits to the national mall on the side. Very clean, nice hotel. The only reason I said 3 on room comfort, was the placement of the heater and the cold air that came off the windows. Had to crank up the heater to battle the cold coming off the windows. The noise from the heater kicking in and out, […] and the noises coming from the mini-fridge did make it a little noisy when trying to go to sleep. However, the big fluffy blankets kept me warm, and I covered my head with the extra pillows to help block out the little noises! Also, paying that much for a room, and then having to pay $13 extra dollars for a day of internet access seemed a little excessive. It was a work expense, but I don't know why access is extra? Is WI-FI that expensive to set up and maintain? On the plus side, the proximity to the metro and the quickness of the airport shuttles made getting around easy. We were very happy with our room. It was clean and comfortable.Very nice staff. Nice pool in lovely setting. I used the fitness Center in the mornings. Machines were good. Loved this hotel, the staff was helpful and the ammenities were nice and room was clean and well furnished. However, I have one complaint. We were never informed that we would have to pay for parking during our stay. $24 for overnight parking is ridiculous! We have never had to pay to park at a hotel we are paying good money to stay in! The least they […] could do is give us a heads up when booking, or at least tell us at the concierge desk when they asked if we would be parking there. The hotel is very large, clean and close to everything. The beds in the standard double room are heavenly soft. The hotel was pack with convention guests but we heard no noise in our 18th floor room. This is a decent hotel. The rooms are okay, definitely no-frills but comfortable and clean. The location is what makes this worthwhile. We were travelling with 3 small kids and it was great to have access to the Metro under the hotel. Also a lot of restaurants within walking distance. "loved having the metro at the hotel"
Staff were wonderful. There was slight noise issue with our air conditioner and they moved us immediately to another room, no question. Front Desk Manager Ve'jn and staff were suburb. It was very convenient having the Metro a 10 minute walk, down stairs on a rainy day. The hotel is very convenient to everything and a quick jump onto 395 going south.
