Situated across the Potomac River in Virginia, the Ronald Reagan National Airport is the closest airport to downtown DC. Visitors can take a car or hop on the Metrorail to get to the capital or its area suburbs. The hotels and office buildings of Crystal City rise near the airport. Neighboring Pentagon City is home to two upscale developments, The Fashion Centre at Pentagon City and Pentagon Row.

Hotel was fine. Nice rooms, VERY friendly service, but basically no restaurant to speak of. There is one there, but the menu is HORRIBLE ( spaghetti, one small, nasty steak, one or two seafood dishes. And the restaurant atmosphere is similar to the breakfast buffet area of a holiday inn express. Luckily other surrounding hotels have decent restaurants. I'll […] stay at a different place next time for that reason... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Barely there."
Upon arrival the initial room had a muggy odor. We had to get another room. Later, the shuttle service was awful. Every time I called for the shuttle at the metro they said it ran every 15 minutes however, we waited 20 minutes or more. We did speak with a manager.Genuine Expedia guest review

"So - So"
Self check in worked well. Asking the valet / concierge for information was a challenge. It seemed they were too busy to take a minute and answer some questions. Room was small, but clean. Hallways were dingy and musty. Not close to metro, about a mile away.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everything at a price. - too expensive"
First of all the hotel wants you to pay for wifi internet connections There is only valet parking which cost $20 When the doormen see you approaching they won't always open the when they see you coming Too busy not enough help checking in and out No free coffee or complimentsGenuine Expedia guest review

"I expected a lot more."
The hotel was nice. But, there was a mysterious red stain on the floor and a few other stains and scuffs around the room. There was no iron present in the room when I checked in. What really grinder my gears was the hour long wait for additional towels and wash cloths. Ridiculous! When they finally arrived I received more than needed which wad nice. "I don't recommend hotels without free wi-fi."
The hotel was fine, but the high daily charge for Internet service precludes my recommending the hotel to other friends. For today's business traveler, Internet access is as important as having hot water and clean towels in the room. Any hotel that does not provide free wi-fi does not get my recommendation.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Strategically located hotel but hotels.com ....."
In general we were satisfied with the stay except one issue, which pretty much affected our overall impression. Our reservation through hotels.com included breakfast for two ( 2 x $17 value based on hotel rates) as part of the spring promotion of the hotel when we made the reservation. When I checked in and asked about the breakfast there was a no mention […] of it by the receptionist according to their records. Unfortunately hotels.com also failed us as the reservation printout had no mention of it. Luckily, during the reservation stage I captured the screen for offerings available to decide later. That screen capture document was the only evidence that proved that we had breakfast included as part of this rate. Until last day we couldn't convince the hotel that our reservation included breakfast. On the last day, thanks to a smart receptionist who accepted our evidence to be satisfactory, we were able to have late breakfast or lunch on our departure date. Upon asking she was wiling to provide voucher for two of us and my son as we couldn't used 6 breakfast vouchers in three days of our stay. Although they still owe us 3 breakfasts but the reason I wanted to write this is to ask hotels.com to be more careful on what they provide on the screen while making the reservation and what they provide in writing for the offers included with the reservation. The room was full of dust. It was all over the furniture, and flew out of the vents when I turned the air conditioning on. My room was by the ice machine, and contrary to most places, where they tuck that away into an alcove, it was right there in the hall next to my door. The second night, there was also a huge spider in my room. I think he also came […] in through the vents. The hotel also needs more in the way of restaurants, since there's nothing around there except other hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Parking is a Nightmare here!"
The hotel was hard to find and located hidden off the main highway. When we arrived we were surprised that Valet parking was $27 and our only other choice was off street parking which was metered from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Having found a secluded space almost a mile away we had to lug our suitcases. Once we arrived and went up to […] the room we were happy to see a good size, comfortable room. Only draw back is the bathroom was a hole in the wall and not enough space to swing a cat. The door almost backed up to the toilet - its that tiny! There was dust on the pillows so it made us think how clean it really was. The water bottle in the room were $5.00! You could get the same amount at a convenience store for $1.50. The couch was nice and backed up to the windows so it felt like have a window seat. The view wasn't so great since all you can see was other office buildings. The place was ok for the amount of money we spent, but I would not stay there again. The parking was a nighmare and the one night we decided to pay the valet so we didn't have to walk so far the garage was full!!!! Never again. There are so many places around the airport and nearby neighborhoods that offer free parking we won't need the hassle. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"disappointing for the price"
for the price, it's disappointing--cleanliness wasn't up to the high standards one would reasonably expect for what you're paying. mediocre, at best.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel staff courteous and efficient. Room on 15 floor, beds comfortable, bath extremely small, room for barely one person, no towel bars to hang wet towels except over the shower rod, shower head small (from the 50's) "snake" lighting which was so dim could not see to put make up on or read. Would probably not stay again. Like Doubletree better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad experience with our Room"
First we were greeted by a not-friendly male staff in the check-in counter. No smile, no "welcome to Hyatt!", he looked like he doesn't care. Too bad the ambiance of the lobby was supposed to be warm and friendly but he wasn't. Ignore. On to the room. Nice, 15th floor with a view of the AirForce Memorial. Room looked clean from a glance, looked closer […] and dust galore at all the lamps, like they haven't been wiped for years. Can't believe for a Hyatt hotel. I took picture of it. Room looks elegant but what is elegance if it's full of dust? Eww. The rest I will enumerate: THE BAD- coffeemaker dirty when we first came in, bed not neatly made(pic) everytime we come back to the room after a long day, garbage can full not emptied. Coffee wasn't replenished. This is the the lousy work of one lazy housekeeper. THE GOOD- We finally complained on the 3rd night, Supervisor saw it and immediately took action, the "Hyatt way". Shuttle service is very convenient. Restaurants on premises. Location is superb. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No Drain, No Gain"
Lobby area was lovely, and staff were polite and helpful. My room was ok; the most frustrating issue was that my tub/shower wouldn't drain, and so I stood taking my shower in water up to my ankles. That grosses me out. Also disappointing that there was not a fridge in the room, and the TV was of poor qaulity, with very limited channel offerings. My […] main reason for rating the hotel service onb the poor side is that internet and cell phone reception throughout the hotel was awful. For a hotel that specializes in business travelers, and with the level of technology now available to us, it is unimagineable to me that technology connection would continue to be an issue - but here, it surely was. "Disappointment"
This hotel was very nice BUT they need to know how to make beds, as soon as I opened the bed, all the sheets came untucked - ugh! There are too many hidden costs, $25 per day for valet parking and you don't have the option, must valet. Food is extremely costly. The retrieving of our car was very timely, given plenty of time to get our car we ended up […] late for a reservation. This hotel also is not as close to shopping and sights as they want you to believe AND the traffic is horrible, however, traffic isn't their problem. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The furnishings were pretty dinged-up showing a lack of management care. The carpet was absolutely disgusting with huge stains and bad traffic wear. For an upscale hotel this was pathetic which could explain the discounted price. When reserving a king bed, I expect a king bed and not the lame excuse that none were available. Didn't realize that I would […] also need to pay for parking. The room was contemporary with a comfortable bed. Service was very helpful after a long drive to the hotel. "Act like a real Hyatt"
With all the traveling I do, normally I prefer to stay at a Hyatt. This one was very different. I did not appear to me the staff really cared about the quality of my stay. I waited 40 minutes for a shuttle to pick me up from the airport and then had to catch a cab on the return due to an early flight. At least for what you pay, Hyatt can afford to give […] you some complimentary internet. Be real. Common sense will tell you, if you are having construction near one of the restaurants, throw in a complimentary breakfast to compensate for the inconvenience. Your the experts, act like it.
