"Good family option in Ocean City, MD"
We stayed 3 days and 3 nights. The location is good for families, way at the north end of the long island drive from the boardwalk and the silliness of college kids, etc. at the south end - which you can drive to but also get away from. The hotel is a short block and a half from the sand, very convenient and no major street to cross since you're on […] the beach side of the main drag. The room was good, bedroom (2 beds) plus a den with a pull-out sofa. The boys liked that option as it has its own TV and they can close the door so they don't have to listen to what Mom and Dad are watching. The nicest thing might be that our room also had a private balcony opposite the entry/outdoor hallway side. It faced the sometimes-loud main street but on the 3rd floor that was OK. Good spot for breakfast. They also loan out beach chairs and big towels, and there's an indoor pool if it rains. A good option for families. "Great for the family"
Clean and comfortable room on the north end of Ocean City. We stayed during 4th of July week and it was still pretty relaxed on this end of OC. Especially like the suite set up. This was such a pleasant surprise! We never thought that we would get a 2 room suite that was so roomy, clean and had all the little extras included. They had an area to store your luggage and shoes, shelves for your towels, etc. and even left dish soap and towels for you to clean your dishes. They had a shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the shower, […] along with a line to dry your suits! This hotel may not look fancy on the outside but it has a lot to offer. The rooms were neat and clean. We had a suite so there were two rooms, and a kitchenette. The resort itself is in a great location to the beach but the inside needs some touch up. The stove in the unit I was in did not work because it was out dated. "Cayman Suites Hotel - cheap convenient, but dirty"
We booked a last minute room at the Cayman Suites Hotel in Ocean City for a weekend trip. We were traveling with a small baby and the idea of having a separate room to put her crib at night and for naps was appealing. Cayman Suites was by far the best deal we could find. The hotel was on par with a two star hotel: slow elevator, a few maintenance items […] to be dealt with, and a little old. The front desk people were nice, though we didn't talk to them for more than two minutes at check in. Our big disappointment was a disgustingly dirty bathroom. I hadn't seen it yet, but my wife came out of the bathroom and started complaining about "mud and hair all over the floor". I rolled my eyes a bit as I am a little more relaxed than her and I don't expect a two star hotel to be pristine. I went in to check and it was truly disgusting. We were only staying one night and I didn't want to deal with hotel staff so I used a medium sized towel to quickly mop the floor. It was nearly black and covered with hair after I was done. I'm hoping the bathroom was a one time oversight by the housekeeping staff. I would be willing to give them one more chance before I took my business elsewhere as we had no other big complaints. "Cayman Suites in OC, MD by the beach"
This hotel was clean and comfortable, and most of all it is only 2 short blocks from the beach. Staff was genrally friendly, except for one of the maid that yelled at us when we wanted to sleep in and lounge in the room which has a balcony. This was our first visit to OC, MD and it was awesome! Definitely recommend Cayman Suites. Good price and GREAT location for family trips.
