"It was horrible!"
Our time at this hotel was horrible. When we first arrived the room was completely dirty. Toilet and bathtub was gross and had stains. The balcony door was broken. When we walked on our balcony they were doing construction so we had wires hanging as well as ropes. We talked to the receptionist about the problem and they tried to find us a cleaner room […] but everyone of them were just as bad. The receptionist were completely rude. They talked about us while we were there in their little office not realizing that we can hear them. We chose this hotel due to the pool and the Jacuzzi and the Jacuzzi was closed which made it seem like things were continuing to go down hill with this place. Another point was other people were having problems and everyone was talking about how bad this place was while we were there. "trapped in a daycare center"
So, I scooped up the room at a great price for New Year's Eve, and chose the hotel since they had a tennis court and temps were to be in the 50's. Upon arrival, the hotel called itself the number one Family Resort in Ocean City, which meant it was crawling with badly behaved children and worse, their parents. The room was straight out of the 70's and […] the tennis court was unplayable since the back court was so short, you hit the chain link on a return. "faulty air conditioner"
we turned on the air conditioner when we arrived and went to dinner. After returning, the air in the room looked dense. There was a slight electrical smell in the room. After we were ready for bed, the air conditioner made a loud bang like something large had fallen. We turned it off and opened the sliding door for the night, so in the morning, the […] room had cleared. When we reported it in the morning, the staff just said the air had already been turned off so it wouldn't have worked anyway. They didn't offer us any compensation for it. My one night stay at the Carousel on Oct 7th was not bad. I was on the 4th floor with a parking lot view, just outside the indoor ice rink.The music from the rink was a little loud with the door propped opened. I love staying at the Carosel and anytime I go down to OC, that's where I choose to stay. My only complaint is that if you stay on the first four floors around the ice rink area, it can be very loud. They keep the music on inside that area and outside at the grill. While, it does turn off at 10 it can be distracting as the rooms are not very sound proofed. […] On the other hand, the view from the ocean front rooms is beautiful and it is located right on the beach. The hotel is located close to 120th street and is far enough away from the crowds, but still close enough by car or bus to the boardwalk and other activities. I will definitely stay here again. "Short honeymoon stay."

"Good quality for the price point"
We're from New York and found our stay at the Carousel very satisfactory. We went after season (labor day week to be exact) and what we got for our price point was a great deal. We had a room with the view of the atrium (surprising that we didn't have a view of outside, only the atrium). If we paid twice as much, we could have gotten a room with a beautiful, […] luxurious view of the beach. The restaurant was fine; regular hotel food fare. Get the crab cake, it was delicious. Toward the end of summer though, Ocean city is overrun with flies (not super drastically) they are just pretty pesky. As far as amenities go, the beach access is great (this part of the beach at this part of the year is pretty calm and very very clean). The rooms are a little expensive and the bar and the dining quarters are a little expensive as well. People were friendly. I took notice it was very clean and to my liking. I am also not very picky.
