Seasons - Open from early morning until late evening and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant with oceanfront views offers American surf and turf such as New York Strip Steak, Crab Cakes, and Coconut Shrimp. The restaurant also has an extensive children's menu and a breakfast buffet served daily during the high season and on weekends in winter. An adjacent sports bar has pool tables and TVs.
The Patio Bar & Grill - This seasonal outdoor restaurant just off the beach serves casual fare such as hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Open from late morning until late evening.
Carousel Ice Cream and Candy Shop - Next to the ice rink, this snack shop offers cotton candy, ice cream, and popcorn. Open weekends in the off season from late afternoon until evening and daily in summer from afternoon until evening.
The Atrium Deli - A centrally located grill and coffee shop that serves breakfast and lunch items such as pastries, coffee, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Open from early morning until late night in the high season.
The Carousel Resort's ice-skating rink (surcharge) hosts complimentary ice-skating shows on summer nights. In warm weather, guests enjoy a tennis court, outdoor splash pool, and children's pool. Year-round facilities include an indoor splash pool and fitness center with spa tub, sauna, cardiovascular machines, strength-training equipment, and free weights.
The hotel is adjacent to a swimming beach, and five miles away, the Ocean City Boardwalk is popular for walking, biking, and jogging. There are 16 golf courses within 16 miles, including the Bay Club, 15 miles away, which has two 18-hole, par 72 courses. The property is also near a casino.

"Family Fun Getaway"
My family had a great stay over a long weekend. We were a bit sad the ice rink was closed but enjoyed the pool and the warm weather allowed us to play in the surf. Overall the trip was great. "Off the boardwalk but just as much fun!"
The Hotel was very clean, staff were great, and the kids had an awesome time at the ice rink. The shows were GREAT too!! It was really nice to be so close to the beach and not have to worry with all the traffic from the boardwalk. "Family vacation"
We decided to get away on a short vacation so we booked this place last minute. It was a nice place, it has an ice rink inside it (yes, an ice rink). They give you two complimentary beach chairs for your stay which I thought was really nice. Food is an the overpriced side but it is everywhere in Ocean City. "Not as advertised"
We were disappointed with the Carousel hotel during our stay. We reserved an ocean front room and did not realize that this portion of the hotel was very old and dilapidated. The only access to the floors was using a rear elevator that was not well kept. The main room had a nice view but with only 4 floors of “Ocean Front” rooms and the pool and outdoor […] restaurant between the hotel and beach, the noise was significant. Starting in the morning and going until night, the noise made it impossible to relax and enjoy the balcony and made it difficult for our 1.5yr old to nap and sleep. The microwave in the room was about 20+ years old and the fridge was also old and worn out. The hotel overall was not clean or well maintained. The buffet breakfast was very limited in options, and did not even include waffles or French toast and the few things it had were not very appetizing. I feel that the personal did something without my approvial. I was told to check out in teh morning and i could check back in for the next day. and when I went to check out and wanted to leave the hotel due ot an illness I was told they did it for me and that I wouild not recieve a refund for the next night of stay. "The best place to stay in OC - Maryland"
We stay at this hotel all the time. We have stayed in the regular hotel rooms and have also rented personally owned condos from private owners for our family's summer vacation. Our kids love it there because of the ice skating rink. With a grocery store right across the street and close inexpensive restaurants, it's definately worth the stay!! We had a wonderful stay at the Carousel and the children really enjoyed the ice rink and the indoor pool. It was supposed to be a "non-ocean" side room, but we could see the beach from our balcony..Our room was very comfortable and we could control the A/C and heat, but we did hear some complaints from another family who were in a different building […] and their A/C was off in anticipation of a cold front coming through. "Our second time at Carousel"
We returned for a late summer weekend and stayed in a nonocean view 2doubles. First, we were on the street side but since it was Biker Week and very loud we asked to be moved to the interior: within 5 mins someone was letting us into our new room--great service! We were at first disappointed the ice rink was closed since one reason we choose Carousel […] is for ice skating with our son. But, they had set up a kids play area with bouncy and all kids of balls so the kids could run and play for hours--it was great, wore him out! We did not go back to the onsite restaurant since we had a terrible experience there last time. (Try Blue Fish for great Japanese/Sushi). Overall our stay was adequate and what we expected. The only complaint that I have is that we ended up with a room on the rooftop of the ice skating ring. The room had a balcony we could not use because that is where the birds would hang out. There was bird poop all around and even though people are told not to feed the birds, the people in the rooms above threw food down and we ended up with food dropping […] out side our balcony door and a bunch of birds surrounding. Other than that the hotel was nice, the room itself was nice and spacious and the hotel is in a great location. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay there again. "Very convenient though it needs a facelift."
I have been vactioning in O.C. and at the DE beaches my whole life (I'm a 43 year old father of two pre-teens). My son and I stayed at Carousel this summer and really enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, the restaurants, mall and other places that were so close. The beds were small (two doubles in the room) so if my wife and duaghter were with us, […] it would have been a bit cramped. Only one negative: I notices small fruit flies in the bathroom and then around the kitchenette area. I love this hotel, because theres a lot to do for children (big and small). The weather turned stormy one day. So we swam indoors (played ping pong by the pool) and then ate at their restaurant. Then we went ice skating! The only problem we had at the hotel was the food. Although most meals at the outdoor cafe were very good and tasty; the pizza sauce […] was very plain tasting sauce with huge tomato chunks and the steamed shrimp (served cold) that is reasonable, and served cold was raw. I'd recommend cooking the shrimp, lol. I recommended they use canned pizza sauce as it's better tasting and whole milk cheese as it's better quality too. The crust was good though soggy from too much sauce. Getting off on being a food critic, but I did own a restaurant and food matters! The waiters and food beverage manager were awesome!! NOT their fault!! They took the half total price of the check off, which more than compensated. OVERALL....I loved my stay and would go again. "Noise"
I visit this hotel a couple times a summer because it is very kid friendly and oceanfront. I have always had a great experience, but this last time was pretty bad. There was a college party all night from 7 pm to 3 in the morning and had rented two levels of the hotel. I find this pretty shocking given that it seems to be a family establishment. I had […] to call the front desk three times because the noise from the drunk college kids in the hallways was so loud. I was so afraid that someone was going to throw stuff down on our balacony and being in the hotel with just myself and my 5 year old and 2 year old was very scary. The college kids were banging on my door at 2 :00 am. I was honestly very shocked that the hotel front desk did not care about my experience when I was telling them what happened at check out. I explained that I called several times about the noise and that my experience was very bad. Perhaps, I will stay somewhere else next time. If the Manager would have seem concerned about my family as its customer I would come again.
