While the room was cleaned, the carpet looked worn even if this is a fairly new hotel ie 2 years. It is a terribly small box of a room but it served its purpose. I was really pleased with this hotel. Receptionist are nice and accomodating. Location is great, thus we don't need to drive in the crazy streets of the city , just a block away from 7 train. Had to stay here for business that was during the post-hurricane Sandy crisis and there was no other room on the island closer to my business dealings. It did not match the description on Hotels.com. I usually do not write comments like this one. However, this place really exceeded my expectations. Clean, very well equipped rooms, friendly staff, etc. In sum: very good value for money. Going downtown is a fun thing, especially when enjoying the sub as such. Good opportunity to watch people, get a view of the city (trains run on bridges) and grasp […] a tiny bit of the real life. Coming from Germany, I was a little bit sceptical regarding the neighbourood. Yet, even tacking the sub from downtown after midnight and walking the 5' to the hotel from the subway was no problem at all and I felt as safe as you can in any major city. A 7/11 is within walking distance and so are many other small stores you may need. I will certainly come back. Only hope that management can and will keep this level. "Good stay for short trip"

"Not knowing the area"
The hotel is small, but clean. The price was good. Parking is very limited. The customers are a mix of people who wok during the day and night. Spent an excellent 10 days at Quality Inn for a reasonable rate, where the service was excellent, room very comfortable and clean with a great view of the 52nd st neighborhood from my 5th floor window.
