"I would stay, sleep and eat very well here again ."
Stayed here for a college visit, plane got in late and it was close to airport, had free parking, wifi and for $10.00 more , free breakfast. Room was clean, beds very comfy. Checked in after 11pm, clerk didn't give me breakfast coupons nor ask if I wanted to join rewards club, which I did the next day upon recommendation of the chef. Scratch off ticket […] gave me a free room upgrade; no good at check out. Breakfast buffet very good, chef made to order eggs. Serve staff Kelly always ready to pour more coffee or clear a plate. Daughter loved chef's scrambled eggs , my omelet would have been $10.00 at any other downtown hotel; and he even gave us something to take for our long day of touring campuses. What a sweetheart! We forgot all about it while googling addresses and adding them to the GPS; several hours later while realizing our treadmill does not have an incline labeled Pittsburgh and poor mom was about half dead through the first tour with two to go did we realize we forgot his kindness. The only reason why I gave them a 3 on the upkeep is I always check to see if the filters in the AC are clean. This was not clean, plus it was broken, possibly because someone not familiar had been assigned the task. Most hotels say it's maintenance 's job, some say housekeeping. In this case the design of this room AC/heater it should be maintenance . The staff at the front desk were very friendly and checked me into my room quickly. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. "Clean and good for the price"
I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived at noon, and were able to check into our room, despite the 4pm check-in stated on the website. Front desk staff was very courteous. Kids enjoyed the pool. We arrived from Millsburg about 20 minutes sout of the city, we checked in aound 11pm the staff was nice and the hotel was impressive my thought. We were given a room with one bed so we asked nicely for a room with two bed to accomadate my son 5yrs old that was very nice of hotel to accomadate. The halls were clean and the hotel was quite very pleasing […] to start off. We made it to our room the number matters was broken but over all the stay was relaxing. "Barely Adequate"
The room was barely worth the rate I paid but no more. Approaching the hotel from the parking area I got the feeling it was a dingy property.The desk people were good, the room was comfortable and in glancing looked clean. Closer inspection revealed a room that was quickly cleaned many times but never cleaned really well in the nooks and crannies especially […] the bathroom. For some reason I checked the wash cloth before I used it and it had a brown stain on it. It appeared it had been washed but the stain did not come out. Ugghh! Another thing that turned me off was the elevator which was filthy. It looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. The area where people walk and stand was dirty but close to the side walls and back there was about a four inch band of dust and dirt around the perimeter of the floor the hadn't been touched in weeks. "Bad Weather Stay"
Threats of bad weather meant an unplanned trip to a hotel to ensure making a flight the next day. Many hotels were sold out but I was able to secure a very economical rate via Expedia at this hotel. I arrived at 2:30 AM and was given a key to a room that was still dirty. The Desk Clerk was very apologetic and immediately found another room for me, that […] thankfully was clean. When I mentioned it to the Clerk at checkout, she was very upset and offered to pay for my breakfast or get me coffee to make up for the inconvenience. I was in a hurry and declined, but her concern was genuine and I appreciated her effort to make up for the problem the night before. Because of her attitude, I will return to this hotel again. Overall, I am satisfied with Crowne Plaza International Airport in Pittsburgh. The hotel is located bout 7 miles from the airport. "short run to airport"

"Good--would have been better with electricity....."
It wasn't the hotel's fault that there was a blown transformer. The staff did all they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible through the power outage. -Maintainance brought us and extension cord to access the power outlets that did work. -They also provided us with the crib we requested and brought it up the stairs since the elevators were […] out. -It was pretty inconvenient dragging all our luggage and 2 small children up 6 flights of stairs.
