"Bed Bugs"

"Awful place to stay"
Yes, the price was right, but the hotel was disgusting. We almost didn't stay the night. The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned, the sheets were stained in both beds, the pillows were about an inch thick and probably 10 years old. The AC smelled awful when we turned it on- couldn't use it at all. The electricity was like a puzzle. THere were […] about 10 switches next to the bed, each one controlled one thing in the room- one for the TV, one for the bathroom, etc. It took a little while to figure that all out. "Don't stay here"
The hotel and grounds are neglected & falling apart. The "breakfast" is a joke... a couple bags of instant oatmeal & a few stale muffins. The TV in our room did not work & there was a coffee maker but no filters, coffee, mugs or any way to make coffee. The only good thing was that the bed was very comfortable. "Not so great.....not reccomended."
Although the staff was very friendly, the hotel was filthy and the grounds were not kept well. The place looked completely run down - had I not been staying there I would have thought they were out of business - or worse yet, a welfare motel. The rooms were painted in attempt to modernize, but paint was splattered everywhere. The furniture was in poor […] condition. Upon arrival our sink and toilet were very obviously dirty - not even wiped off after the last customer. Sheets had stains on them. Carpet was not vacuumed. Although a family business is "great", the 14 year old of the family was cleaning the rooms and was clearly lacking in ability to do so. We did have fresh towels everyday. The curtains were falling down and had no drawstrings. There was remnants of soap from the last guest in the tub drain. The staff had limited to no knowledge about the surrounding area. They told me that they did not know of a bike shop that would "deliver" bike rentals to the hotel - in about 5 minutes, I was able to find a bike shop, about 2 miles up the road, who would drop off bikes for us. Breakfast was "available". For us, cereal and milk is fine - but don't expect much more than that. All things considered, we got what we paid for, as they were significantly less expensive than other hotels in the Cape Cod Area - now we know why. Again, I cannot say that anyone was rude to us - they were very friendly....but not good at hotel management.
