"Girls Get Away Weekend"
Great location. Hip cool bar/restaurant on the top floor. Nice staff. I would recommend this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly staffs, great location"
The bed was way too soft but the staff was nice enough and tried to solve the problem by adding a board for us. Water pressure was on the weak side but no big deal. Many machines in the gym were not working but most likely it's empty and plenty to choose from. All the staffs were very friendly and helpful! A bit weird to see many strange people lining […] up for the rooftop bar every night during the long weekend. They were not hotel guests, not tastefully dressed, definitely not the scene and crowd I expected. Anyway location is excellent and love the modern chic of room and deco around the hotel. "A Night Out With The Bros"
Amazing hotel, the roof top club brought in tons of younger people to party with right at the hotel on a friday night! The next day we got a private tour of the lounge too. Will definitely go back!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"I like the Wit"
I had fun at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar was friendly and fun with great food and drink...... The lamp in my room was broken but still in my room. There was gum on the carpet and the housekeeper did not vacuum or empty the trash on the 2nd day. I was there for 4 nights so I left a note the next day asking for a vacuum. […] I would visit again I just hope they stay on top of maintenance at such a beautiful property. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great hotel"
Very nice hotel comfortable, surrounded by nightlife, and friendly staff. Rooms and views are beautiful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The only annoying thing is that the lobby is not very large, so when there are people lined-up to go to the Roof from Thursday - Sunday, they take all the space for getting to the hotel elevators, front desk, etc and you have to push your way to get anywhere, eventhough you are the paying customer. It gets really old.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice"
Location is about as good as it gets as you are close are on State Street shopping, and then only a couple blocks from Resturant central on Hubbard and State. Rooms are very nice, modern, clean... typical 4 star, but the shower head in our room would not stay put. and the bathroom fan was broken... not major issues, but annoying... maybe it was just […] our room, but overall it is a very nice hotel. "The Wit takes the cake!"
I have stayed at the W for years on voyages into the city but decided to switch it up and so glad I did. The Wit boasts attentive staff, lovely sorroundings, and warm chocolate chip cookies upon check in. What more can you ask for?Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great stay at the Wit. Front desk called at soon as room was ready. Easy to walk to different places in the city. I used to live in Chicago and love this hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Wit - Nope not for me"
The Wit was everything it said it would be: trendy, great location, and that's about it. The room was a good size with moderately nice furnishings. The bathroom had no tub, which would have been fine, but there was no divider between the shower area and the sink, except for a short shower curtain. So the floor in front of the mirror and sink got soaked. […] My room had no clocks, not on the wall, on the phone, nothing, a small annoyance, but annoying nonetheless. There were 4 slow elevators. And I mean slow. The longest instance I waited for the elevator, I pushed the button, got impatient, put on my earphones, listened to 2 complete songs, and finally the elevator appeared. At night, there were a small crowds in the lobby waiting to go up to the Roof. Which meant one of the elevators was set aside specifically for that purpose. So be prepared to walk through that, and then to wait for the slow elevators -one less elevator at that. The valet was expensive @ $46/night, but it does have in & out privileges and parking in the public garages was $34/overnight with NO in & out. The location was great. In the heart of downtown and very convenient to restaurants, museums, train stations, etc. Additionally I arrived on an early flight and they were very accommodating with early check-in. I will, however, NOT be staying at The WIt again for one BIG reason. I slept completely covered, sweats, long sleeve shirt, socks, the first couple of nights. But the last night, I slept with a short sleeve and the next morning I immediately noticed a rash on my arm from the sheets. I used hydrocortisone and it was gone a couple of days later. This was the deal breaker for me, I smiled through everything else, but no no no, not a rash. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Girl's weekend Getaway"
Our girl's getaway at The Wit was fabulous! We were in town for a concert and shopping. We Had an amazing weekend and were very impressed with the service we received. The room was clean, well equipped and very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"the not so witty Wit"
theWit has comfortable beds, a solid restaurant (Cibomatto), nice desk clerks and a great location. That's the best we can say about it. Otherwise, the decor is trying too hard and not sure what style it wants to be (muted colors and clean lines clashing with brash sofas, over-sized cushions and gaudy fake crystals hanging off of modern lamps). It comes […] across cheap and amateur. The bathroom has a cramped, economy hotel type tub with a trying too hard, paint-chipped vanity. Over the loo was an image from a vintage Esquire magazine of topless woman sitting with her back to the camera with the tagline "The Magazine for Men." Maybe theWit thinks they only have male clientele? The halls seemed to be infused with some sort of perfume. Over the lobby was a live band which made checking-in annoying as information at the desk had to be shouted to be heard. We could barely make out a word the clerk was saying. We requested late-check out, yet had 3 different cleaning women knock on our door the next morning. One of whom knocked and then walked-in (using her master key) without waiting for an answer. Luckily I put the security latch on the night before so she could only peek in. Her view however, was a straight line to the bathroom. A very awkward after-the-shower encounter. The bedside phone must have had a previous life as a lighthouse. Even the dimmer was not much help. The clock could be used as a night-light. Our room was near the ice machine in the hall so we could hear a low buzz throughout the night. Overall, it seemed like theWit was trying to have a night life vibe like the Santa Monica Viceroy or the Clift in San Francisco or the Hudson in New York, but falls painfully, awkwardly short due to a sheer lack of unique vision and design talent. It would have been better off focusing on classic comfort and great service. Next time we're trying The James. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The wit Chicago"
I wasn't all that impressed with the bathroom in general. I thought it would be a little more "spa like" in its feel. The room itself was fine. The lower bar area was quite nice and the staff was very friendly. My friend and I went to the Roof and found it to be unimpressive at best. For the hype I had received from others telling me to go up there, […] I was underwhelmed. I found the furniture tacky and old with chips in the framing and tears in the upholstery. It wasn't what I had expected for such a highly rated hotel. I found the staff up there a little "off-putting." I really did appreciate the location. It was very convenient to get to the places I needed to go and not have to "cab" it all around the city. The view was great, as well. I also like the cookie when I had a case of the late night munchies! :) Thank you for an enjoyable stay and yes, I would recommend this hotel to a friend and I will be back. "The Wit in Chicago great location"
The Wit Hotel is a very nice modern Hotel, it is very easy to get to and right in the center of the Theatre Area. From the Hotel you can walk to many locations in the City. Michigan Ave is a few blocks away for shopping. The Theatre's are walking distance away Chicago, Goodman, etc. The Hotel has a very nice and relaxing rooftop lounge. It was 16 degrees […] out when we went after Thanksgiving so going outside was not an option. The bar area is very large and there are many small seating areas around the room for conversation areas with friends. The view is spectacular with the floor to ceiling windows . The lobby is very warm and inviting and the Hotel feels very comfortable. This Hotel is a must on your list to try the next time you are in Chicago! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Veldig bra hotel!"
Totalt sett bra value for money!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
