"It was great"
It was a good location to walk to shopping mile and all restaurants. Awesome view of downtown Chicago. The staff was friendly and helped with an emergency fax I needed to get to our sitter in another state. Would stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Pretty good, The bed was uncomfortable and kept moving into the middle because of the indent in the middle of the bedGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The elevators didn't work and that was inconvenient. All else was lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. You can walk to most of what downtown Chicago has to offer. Very attractive, clean and comfortable rooms and an extremely courteous and professional staff make this a great place to stay when visiting Chicago.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Weekend Getaway"
This was a great weekend getaway for me and my husband. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant so much, but for a great place to crash when not out and about in the city, we absolutely loved it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dana Hotel and Spa- Favorite Place to stay"
First time staying at the Dana, I have stayed in many hotels downtown Chicago and this has to be my favorite. Great location, great price through Hotels.com. The staff was wonderful, beds were very comfy, and room was modern and clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Room With a View!"
Our corner room had a fantastic view of the city - spectacular both during the day and at night. Very helpful bell staff. Great location for shopping, and having the great food at Aja on the first floor made it easy when we didn't want to venture into the cold.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dana Hotel - pick an upgraded room"
Our room was rather small but nice. The mini bar refrigerator was not working, the safe had to be repaired, and the remote for the tv was horrible. Terrible reception, too. Upon complaint most was fixed. Could hear whenever anyone on floor closed their door or used elevator. The bar on top floor is great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great!!!"
Hotel and location are great. I had a minor issue with my key card not working, and the gentleman with the dreads at the front desk. He seemed to be slighly stand-off-ish, as if I was inconvienceing him to reset my key so that it would re-open my door. Beacause I had a guest staying with me, I had given them the second key that actually worked do that […] they could get back in without a problem. He (the guy with the dreads)stated that he would have to reset their key as well, and when they came back they would have to stop by the counter to have their key re-programmed. Somewhat inconvient but not a deal breaker.......This same guy also seemed to want to charge extra for checking out after 1pm, while the girl (who may have been a manager) that was at the desk had said late check out would be fine as long as we were out by 3pm.....Dont know what that was all about. The guy didnt seem like he liked working. Other than that Rooms are great, view in the comfy king was phenomenal!!! Would stay there again when I come back to Chicago. "Very Impressed"
Just two easy (and safe) blocks south of a Red Line 'L' stop, the Dana is without question one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. The floor to ceiling windows make the rooms seem huge! Will certainly stay here again the next time I'm in Chicago. Overall, if you can get a decent price, cannot be beat!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"LOVED this hidden hotel! Great vibe!"
I knew from initial reviews that the Dana is the type of hotel we would love - and I was right! Very modern, sleek, but not over the top - smallish rooms but definitely not tiny by any means - loved the decor, the feel, the little touches. Staff, from doormen to concierge to bartenders, were very warm, funny, and engaging from the moment we arrived. […] This is the only place we've found that would accommodate a request to have champagne waiting in the room at check-in, and it was fabulous! The rooftop lounge is a must-do, great beats, and easy access if you are a hotel guest. We loved hanging out in the lobby bar - and the Bloody Mary's are TO DIE FOR! Easy walking access to subway, Michigan Ave, Rush St restaurants. We saw everything from families with small kids to younger groups of friends staying there. I just cannot say enough about how much we loved this place. Next time we will try out the restaurants onsite as well....this will forever be our place to stay in Chicago!! It is perfect if you love a very nice place to stay, but want to avoid the "typical" chain hotel...it seems like a hidden gem!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very cool spot!"
Hip hotel, cool staff, great bars. Nightclub on top floor a little too run of the mill nightclubby - those people basically all suck. But everything else great!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dana Hotel"
Hotel was nice but not very welcoming. Trying too hard to be hip. Our 9th floor room was modern and clean but noisy. Could hear noise from the street and other room doors opening and closing. Ok if you are a heavy sleeper. Location was very convenient. Close to metro, restaurants and shopping.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Dana hotel and spa in Chicago"
The hotel and the stay were amazing. I have nothing bad to say except admire the level of service and amenities this hotel have to offer. The location was perfect, in the middle of downtown Chicago. Close to Bars, nightclubs and even include one in the 26 floor. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone i know. Thanks for a great stay! OffirGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Dana Hotel in Chicago"
Overall the hotel was very nice, immaculately clean, and comfortable. The bed was plush and full of pillows. I found the general vibe and decor, a bit too hipster-ish. The shower in my room was a little weird as one glass wall was open to the rest of the room. A curtain, on the room side, could be drawn for extra privacy. Definitely a room to share […] only with someone you feel comfortable with. The wine in the mini-bar was temptingly convenient. When I had a couple of friends over, it was really easy to open a full bottle of merlot. It wasn't ridiculously expensive (though I found it later at the liquor store for $16 less). I think only four rooms per floor have balconies, so I was all the more pleased to have one. It had a lovely view over Holy Name Cathedral. Vertigo, the roof-top, bar, was worth checking out for the views and cool breezes, even if the crowd was a little pretentious and the music sucked. I didn't have a chance to make use of the spa services, apparently you can get an in-room massage. The valet parking was mostly convenient, though sometimes I had to wait as long as 20 minutes to get my car. It was a little awkward trying to valet-park late at night as there were very few people to park around. The hotel was also understaffed at night. I asked about a late check-out at 5.30am, and the sleepy receptionist on duty told me I'd have to call around 8.30am (by which time I was fast asleep). So I had to check out at noon. That was a little irritating. On the whole, a comfortable, clean, modern hotel in the heart of Chicago's River North neighbourhood, and steps away from the Magnificent Mile, the river, and many other attractions. "Dana Hotel & Spa in Chicago - great location"
This hotel is definitely geared toward a younger fashionista crowd. However, even if you're not really into fashion or big spending (I consider myself pretty frugal but hotels.com made this hotel an option for me and my best friend), you can still have a great time in Chicago by staying there if you want to splurge a bit! The location is perfect: a […] couple blocks from Michigan Ave and also within walking distance either of several main attractions or within a few blocks of key transit options to get to main attractions (the El and buses). The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel itself was impressively nice with great views from every room, very comfortable furniture and extremely nice bathrooms! The fitness center is the nicest one I've used and there is a spa on site, as well as a restaurant on the ground level and a lounge at the top of the hotel where guests can jump to the front of the line. I highly recommend Dana Hotel & Spa and plan to go back next time I travel to Chicago! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel and Great Location"
I had a fantastic time at the hotel. I loved the ground floor bar and restaurant. The Vertigo lounge was great. I was pleased with the service. My only issue was the concierge gave us the wrong cross streets for our restaurant and it was already our reservation time, so we had to eat somewhere else. But, that worked out just fine. Another minor concern, […] was the noise outside my room. I think I was next to the housekeeping closet and I could hear the door slamming shut in the morning while I was still asleep. Overall, a great hotel and I would stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Snobsville"
On arrival, we were bearly greeted by the staff, they are complete snobs and do not even speak to you, with the exception of 3 staff that we counted. The door men are great and try to help. the room is comfortable, however we had one night woken up by a bunch of partying girls at 1.43am until 02.20, when we eventually managed to get security on board, […] they fixed the issue, however this was after enduring 45minutes of blasting music and banter. We were also woken another night by blokes in the hallway. Overall the location and comfort of the hotel was good, but in terms of customer service, they really need to determine what their market is, a high end disco for yuppies, or a comfortable spa, hotel resort for their customers. We were treated more like an interruption to their day, rather thman a special guest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"I wish my Experience was a little more ELAVATED!"
Had a great stay at the Dana. Only problem was the elevators. They were broken and not fixed for the whole weekend. We waited numerous times for 15 minutes at the elevator to get down to the lobby. Also, at night there is a dedicated elevator for the Bar on the roof. This met that guests of the hotel had to wait even longer for the elevator to get to […] thier room.
"Good hotel"
Good hotel with well equipped rooms, central location, friendly and helpful staff. Only a bit disappointed by the breakfast menu: it is overall expensive and the choice is very limited between eggs and omelettes + the coffee served is terrible. Much better to use the nice coffee maker available in each room, or... have breakfast somewhere else. Too […] bad there is no breakfast buffet like in most 4* hotels. "Great location, nice hotel, prices reasonable"
Have been staying in several Chicago hotels, a.o. Trump, which was really good, but prices have been doubled at least for the period of my stay. Found Dana and really like it, rooms smaller but very comfortable, nice atmosphere and perfect !! location, close to my Italian Barber Shop Alfredo on North Stare, where you can have a wet shave old style for […] only little cash it feels great, go there and tell Alfredo that the man from Holland send you!
