We live in chicago and were looking for a place for the weekend. we walk by this hotel all the time and thought we would try it. We were impressed, looks... recently updated and the rooms were good size, comfy and clean. We had bad service by one of the managers at the on-site bar but the bartender was very accommodating. I would never recommend in the service industry, approaching a customer and telling them point blank they are wrong even if they are! Just west of the downtown business core, this Crowne Plaza is on Chicago's is a convenient Chicago home base, within a mile from United Center and Millennium Park. The hotel has an ideal position for business traveler to get the financial institutions and Willis Tower as well as for leisure traveler to spend their time in downtown shops.

close to our concert destination overall would of been nice if hotel offered shuttle service would of been a plus this hotel alittle ways from things especially at night to many cabs then after concert could not find cab it was hot had to wait then finally made it back to hotel and extend hrs for bar on weekend with more specials on drinks

everything was great except the bar manager. we were told the bar served food until 11pm and closed at midnight. we put our order in with the bar tender at 10:47, only to find out that the kitchen was already closed. the bar tender was very sorry, but the manager was rude and obnoxious. instead of coming to us and informing us that there was no food […] order, he started ranting and raving outloud in front of everyone at the bar, then called the front desk to complain to him for telling us it stays open until 11pm (which the sign clearly stated). he had terrible customer service skills, i have no idea how he keeps his job.
