"Tiny rooms, uncomfortable beds"
The rooms are very small for 4 adults. Hotel is overall old and looks run down, especially the hallways. Beds are quite uncomfortable. Tub did not drain but when I complained the front desk took my parking off the bill ($36), so the service was great! We stayed here because of the proximity to the United center (quick cab ride away). There is a grocery […] store (Dominick's) across the street which is open 24 hours and that is very convenient. We booked this hotel for 2 nights while we saw Bon Jovi at the United Center. It is the closest hotel and a straight shot down the road from the United Center. All staff were very polite. They even kept the restaurant open an hour later due to the concert. Room was comfortable and has everything you need. Having a balcony view was great. "Very good value"
Stayed here for six nights as part of a US trip in May 2013. This isn't the most centrally located hotel (and it also right next to the freeway), but is a short walk to the downtown area and the Willis (formally Sears) Tower, and a medium walk to locations like Magnificent Mile or the lakefront. It's very well located for getting to Wrigley Field with […] a bus stop just outside, some great restaurants nearby and a number of local shops for your needs. I found the bed a little hard for my liking, but that's personal preference, and they had an irritating habit of putting the open end of the duvet at the head end of the bed. The air-con in the room was also very noisy and had to be turned off overnight. We also found that the sink wouldn't drain very well - annoying when my husband was shaving, and the hairdryer didn't work, but this was swapped out very quickly. However, these are minor foibles. The rooms were a good size, with plenty of storage space, and an excellent shower. Plus it was very good value when booked through hotels.com. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and overall we enjoyed our stay. Wouldn't bother with the restaurant attached to the hotel, Dine, as that was very poor - there are so many other better eateries nearby (walk up Halstead 2 blocks for a range of bars and restaurants).
