Locals call downtown Chicago “The Loop.” The famous Marshall Field’s, now a Macy’s, is on State Street. Cultural attractions include the Art Institute of Chicago, the Lyric Opera, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Grant and Millennium parks are along the lakefront. Amazing location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is in the perfect location downtown Chicago. Public transportation was close by at any time and a lot of great shopping an dining near the hotel as well. When it comes to the actual room, it WAS what I expected. From earlier reviews, the room was super small and the TV was extremely small too and in an awkward place (not in front of the bed […] like normal hotels). The shower was somewhat small and the bed was uncomfortable. I was expecting a REAL queen size, comfortable bed. In every hotel I stay in, I always pull back the sheets to make sure there aren't any bugs or anything wrong with the mattress. At this point, I saw that our bed was really TWO TWIN SIZE BEDS put together. it was uncomfortable because one was lower than the other so I felt like it was a drop every time I rolled over to the other side of the bed. Oh and I also was not notified that they would be taking $50 out of my account each night I stayed in the hotel for "INCIDENTALS". Although it will come back to me because there was no damage, it was still disrespectful that I had to find out after I checked in and not BEFORE. It definitely wouldve helped me budget and plan wiser. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful Ol' Hotel"
The location is fantastic. We had a beautiful view of the river from the 24th floor. The room was small, but I was expecting this. We used Valet parking because I didn't see any convenient place to self park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem we had was with the temperature of the room. Because the nights were cool and the days […] were sunny and relatively warm, it was difficult to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. While the heater worked well (as you would expect in Chicago), we could not figure out how to get the AC on to cool off the room and get some of the humidity out. You can't have a better location for doing things in the Loop. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room is clean and the entire hotel is well maintained. The rooms are small but appropriately furnished.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was an EXCELLENT choice....I genuinely mean that. I stayed one night during the weekend of the Chicago Marathon. I was extremely satisfied. The location is great. It sits right on the river with views of the Chicago river from your room...at least the room I had. The set up was nice, a tad bit small, but rather nice nonetheless. They had complimentary […] water bottles and even had washers and dryers for the guests. I could go on and on about the benefits I found within choosing this hotel. The staff was helpful as well. They made for good conversation and had a good knowledge of the surrounding area. I will DEFINITELY be going back. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"In the heart of everything"
We stayed here for 5 nights a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. Tho the rooms are very small, we had wonderful views of the river and the hotel was very quiet even tho the elevator was right opposite our door. You can't beat this hotel for convenience, we were able to walk everywhere and the staff was very accommodating. We would definitely […] stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great inner city locale"
We had a great three days here. We were able to walk from the hotel to everything on our to-do list. Everything was clean, the staff superb, and the small room suited our minimum time inside requirements. The coverlets are showing age and should be replaced if they can no longer be cleaned but that is the only quibble with a very enjoyable experien […] ce. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stay was great. Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. All staff friendly and helpful. The only problem was the condensation from the vent over our bed. It kep dripping water on us. It wasn't alot and we lived with it because everything else was good. Great location!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was small but very nice and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was in a great location. We will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and hotel!!"
Excellent service! We will be back. :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location, service was good, room wasn't very big, but comfortable and good enough for the weekend. Parking is easy to miss if you do it on your own, could do valet with no issues. Great location...would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Was told our bed would be a queen size but it was actually a double bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I enjoyed the stay at Hotel Club Quarters. We would recommend it to anyone!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small, served its purpose"
We were in town for one night and needed a place to sleep is all. The room is small, but a bed was all we needed so it was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the shower water pressure was awful. the refrigerator did not work so we had to keep our food in the staff fridge. The room was more expensive to have a fridge and we didn't even get to use it. I did like however that the hotel took responsibility for our luggage on our last day after checkout so we could go out for the day and not have to worry about […] our luggage. The location I wish was more central to the good part of Michigan Ave where all the shops are. It was on the far end of it, but it wasn't too bad of a walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The was comfortable, cozy (small), and could use a little updating. The staff was great! We would probably try somewhere else next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Clean and convenient"
Location, location, location! Central to most attractions. We were able to walk up North Michigan avenue, to the Navy pier, and down to Adler planetarium, from the hotel. The second floor lounge is a nice treat, Internet, and snacks available. Our room is small, but clean. The little kitchenette was convenient -microwave, fridge for storing leftover […] food, with plates and utensils and coffee maker provided. The front desk and housekeeping staff were attentive. The Bella Bacina's restaurant on the ground floor serves good omelets. The self park lot is cheaper than most parking lots in the area, but has limited space. Our only complaint is the street noise, particularly a truck loading at 6am every day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay!"
Clean, close and as advertised.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed in the smallest of the rooms, were we could berely fit our bags on the floor, but the room was extremely clean and in the heart of Chicago. Could not have wished for a better location. Would most definitely come back. Staff were also very helpfull at the door and reception.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location! Location! Location!"
We stayed three nights. Check in was a breeze, hotel was clean and overall service was great. However, the no control of the temperature was real negative during our stay. Our room was between 70 and 74 degrees. We actually checked out a few hours before check out time because the room was hot. Location was fantastic. Walking distance to Millienium […] Park, Navy Peir, shopping on Michigan Ave and more. We actually walked across the street and caught a boat ride tour through Chicago and Lake Michigan. We loved the location so much we will definitely stay here again. But might bring a fan next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel (Club Quarters) is on a "2 pipe" system, meaning the A/C isn't available until the system is switched over from winter. Therefore, the temp of our room remained between 74-78 degrees (because it was warm & sunny outside). The first offer of "bring up a fan" was not acceptable so the staff did allow us to move to a different hotel at no cost […] (the River Hotel, attached to Club Quarters). That room was perfect (had A/C)--I just should have complained the first day there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great stay! Great view of the river. At check in, we were asked if we wanted to upgrade for a better view glad we did! For next time I will ask about softness of bed it was pretty hard by my standards but the hubby liked it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Close to everything, including the subway system. Down-side is size of room, very small, not for anyone who is claustrophobic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We chose the hotel due to price and location. We were not disappointed. The rooms were small but we just needed a place to rest our head and lay our bags. The hotel staff was fantastic and it was an absolutely amazing location for spending time shopping and eating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. "Great Location, Great Price"
My husband and I stay at Club Quarters, Wacker at Michigan every time we spend a weekend in the city. "Perfect for our spontaneous getaway!"
The price was great and cleanliness and comfort were not sacrificed! Rooms are small, but cozy and very nice! FYI - valet parking may seem steep, but you can leave your car until 6pm the next day, even after you check out at noon. Very convenient, especially if you are wanting to take in the sights all within walking distance!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location but very small rooms. We stayed here 3 years ago and feel it needs slight TLC but can't go wrong for the valueGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central location in downtown Chicago"
This hotel is perfectly situated near Wacker and Michigan, and if you're pretty lucky, you get a great view of the Trump Tower and the Chicago River. The staff is courteous and accommodating, and the whole place is very clean. Our particular room was small, but we only sleep there, not stay there. And the fitness room is in the basement and minimal. […] Otherwise, if you just need a place to sleep and put your shopping bags, this is a no-brainer. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great for all lovers of a traditional looking hotel with all the modern conveniences. Love the free water on the floors and a great business center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel is ins a great location, right on the main drags of Wacker and Michigan. The staff was eager to help and even when busy made sure to acknowledge our presence. The restaurant breakfast was large but only ok as far as food goes. The wait staff were great though. Our room was small but functional, very clean and well stocked with amenities like […] Caribou coffee and nice TV. I would return! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Club Room is very small and best suited for one person. When we called for a few additional towels it took and 2nd call and we received them after approximtely 30 minutes. The bed was too soft.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Most uncomfortable bed of all time"
My girlfriend and I had the worst night of sleep of all time. Neither one of us could get comfortable and we tossed and turned all night. The hotel is nice, a great part of town, but the hotel beds must be made of bricks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location,, but this was by far the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Club Quarters on Wacker St. is at a great location! It's a romantic spot right by the Chicago River. It's a short walk to Millenium Park/Grant Park as well as the Magnificent Mile (for shopping) and Hubbard St where all the bars, lounges, and clubs are. The staff was so nice and helpful! We asked the front desk for recommendations on places to eat, […] and they didn't fail us. My boyfriend and I would definitely stay here again next time we go to Chicago. "Awesome Hotel and Location"
This hotel is right smack in downtown, has excellent staff, a great pizza & Italian restaurant and bar downstairs, and offers amazing views of the river and surrounding skyscrapers. This hotel is a historic skyscraper, itself! The price was excellent, and the WiFi is free, as well as that the parking rate they offer beats anywhere else in town!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One nite stay"
The club quarters provided a cute little room for our last nite in Chicago. It is right on Wacker at the Chicago River and in walking distance to many attractions. Had a great time, no car necessary. Could have used some extra pillows and if you like cold air conditioning this is the place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In The Loop"
Super location and very nice room at a reasonable price for the Loop. Computer issues at check-in led to a long line but staff did all they could to keep us informed. Superb view from corner Wacker/Michigan and nicely appointed yet small room. Would stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Poor customer service. Decent location downtown but no concierge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Affordable, good location, nice amenities"
My boyfriend and I were very surprised and satisfied with our stay at Club Quarters. Great location in a beautiful building, with an easy walk to the subway and some Chicago landmarks. I can imagine the standard room would be too small for some, but we didn't mind at all. The Keurig coffee, water refill stations, free wifi and linen closets stocked […] with pillows, blankets, ironing supplies were all great. Only compliant was that the keys did not work for the rooms/elevator and took several minutes to actually work. Otherwise, we had a great stay and we'd stay there again.
