    Staff was over the top friendly and helpful, rooms and amenities were great--we had a lakefront view which was nice--great breakfast choices every morning... saved us some $$--walking distance to Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile etc, but also easy to get a bus right on the corner and travel farther.     Overview

    Location.
    The Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront is the closest of all the downtown Chicago, Ill., hotels to the Lake Michigan lakefront, only three blocks away. The blue-line trolley station across the street provides complimentary transportation to Navy Pier, Michigan Avenue shops and Tribune Tower, all within three blocks of the hotel.

    Hotel Features.
    The Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront hosts a daily manager's reception that offers a variety of domestic beverages. PJ Clarke's restaurant serves American entrees while 511 North Bar serves cocktails, wine and beer. A glass wall divides the lobby and dining venues from an indoor pool and sauna. The fitness center boasts cardiovascular and strength-training equipment and discounts are available to the adjoining health center that offers fitness classes and spa treatments. The hotel offers braille or raised signage, accessibility equipment for the deaf, and handicapped parking.

    The 455 guestrooms at the Embassy Suites Chicago Downtown Lakefront feature panoramic city or lake views from private bedrooms and separate living rooms.     This was a Great Hotel - Especially if you want to take in the Magnificient Mile. The Concierge was extremely helpful. Hotel was VERY busy so there were lines for the Happy Hour and breakfast in the morning, but other than that, very nice stay.

    We always enjoy staying at embassy suites. The staff was kind and helpful. I reported a problem with blow dryer not working when manager asked about our stay and it was replaced before our return from the reception. We were able to check into one of our rooms when we arrived from ohio at 1200pm. This allowed use to store our luggage and enjoy a day […] of shopping. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I noticed a few small stains on the lobby carpet but otherwise clean. The elevator was a bit scary for me as I'm afraid of heights. The company I traveled with enjoyed it with the views. Breakfast had a great many delicious choices. I ordered a made to order omelet. My only suggestion to staff would be not to prepare plates with the bacon sausage eggs etc and sit on counter awaiting the omelet completion as it gets cold fast. There was also a table with these other foods that was self served. I could've waited and got hot after receiving my omelet. Didn't think . The beds are extremely comfortable. Would like to purchase it with the sheets and pillows for my home ;). Will always come back to embassy suites. Truly enjoy staying there. Read more

    This is the best location, only a walk away from almost everything. The staff was very kind and helpful from beginning to end. The breakfast buffet was amazing. This hotel is great for any occasion it is Romantic and Family Friendly, I can't imagine anyone not having a blast!

    Our room had a nice view of lake Michigan! It was a good location! Close enough to walk to millennium park and other wonderful locations. Lots of nice restaurants near by too!! The breakfast buffet was great!! Lots to choose from. I could tell by watching the staff that they all do their part to make sure everybody is well taken care of and happy!!

    The hotel was awesome! Everyone was extremely helpful when we needed anything even if it was advice where to eat. We had four kids with us so the size of our room was wonderful. The kids had the living room to watch rvedly and the adults could still relax in the bedroom area.     I stayed here because it was a hundred dollars less than where my co-workers were staying, but only a block away. It was fantastic, and apparently offered many amenities that they were getting for the additional cost. I'd stay here again any day.

    Hotel employees are very polite, courteous and friendly. Hotel rooms are very spacious. Breakfast was great with cook to order omelettes. Kids had fun swimming in the pool . location was perfect, walking distance to navy pier and magnificent mile area. we will certainly consider staying there again in the future.

    Great hotel for small families - the breakfast was great. The pool is smaller than it looks on the website and it gets very busy. It did get a little noisy on the weekend. The hotel resturant was closed for renovation when we got there - this was a surprise, I was planning on us eating there when we arrived in the evening.

    This hotel is a few blocks to the Magnificent Mile and is definitely worth it. They offer complimentary breakfast and happy hour each day and it is great! I stayed here with three girlfriends for a girls weekend and would without a doubt return again.

    We were in Chicago for spring break. Hotel was crowded but staff seamed to accommodate everyone. We have been to Chicago several times and this is really a convenient location. There is an awesome grocery store right across from the hotel, has hot food, bakery desserts, hot home made soups and a Starbucks! Love it!

    We had a wonderful stay! With our young children, we could not have picked a better hotel! The only bad thing is that the valet parking is terrible! They say 10 to 15 minutes to get your car? Try 30! The hotel employees are awesome but if you can, avoid the valet!
