Sutton Place Hotel displays Art Deco-designed interiors enhanced with contemporary furnishings and original Robert Mapplethorpe photographs. This hotel is home to the Mexx Kitchen at the Whiskey that serves three-course meals in a romantic candle-lit environment. A cocktail lounge serves a variety of whiskey selections. Renovated in 2003, hotel facilities include 7,000 square feet of function space. This property offers discounted passes to a nearby 72,000 sq-ft health club with indoor pools, aerobics classes and a sauna. Sutton Place Hotel provides complimentary sedan transportation to the Central Business Loop. The hotel permits up to two pets in each room, with restrictions.

The fitness center at Sutton Place provides expansive city views, a selection of cardio and weight machines, free weights, water, and towels. Guests also have discounted access to a health club two blocks away, with exercise classes and a sauna.
The Oak Street Beach on Lake Michigan is one block from the hotel, providing access to the 20-mile-long lakefront path. Bicycles and in-line skates may be rented at several beachfront locations. In summer, lifeguards are on duty. Canoeing, kayaking, and rowing equipment can be rented at Lincoln Park Boathouse, two miles north.

The hotel was fine, though pretty well stuck in the 90s. It's hard to get past the really old 20" TV with really bad reception. They can't make any money off of on demand movies, as the TVs are so bad. "Excellent Stay"
This was a wonderful experience from a prompt check-in, delightful, large and comfortable room and a top notch staff. Yes, I did overlook mechanical and was located on a lower floor however I think with the hotels.com discounts that are offered, some things we just have to live with. "Close to subway, decent stay"
Overall, it was just fine. It was a good deal and good location. The front desk staff when we checked in was not particularly warm or welcoming, and the man checking me in tried to upsell me a better room, which I thought was strange. It felt like an airline tactic, and I'm not used to it in hotels. The room was spacious enough, and had lots of windows. […] The bathroom was very 1980s, but perfectly functional and large. "Some what disappointed"

We arrived early at noon and were able to check into our rooms. Check in was great – quick and easy. We had 2 rooms and they were a good size but I think the bathrooms are a little outdated. The location was fantastic, shopping dinning, etc. – you couldn’t ask for more. Only problem was their internet service which was “down” or extremely “slow” for […] most of our stay – a nightmare for business travelers.
