I enjoyed my stay at this boutique hotel. It is a charming place that used to be a dormitory for the Northwestern University nursing students years ago.... There was a bit of confusion when I arrived on where my room would be. After a 15 minute wait, I was upgraded to a nice suite on the second floor! Awesome donuts for breakfast. But, that's all. Also, my last night there, the roof leaked and drips kept me up from 0200 to when I left. Weak wifi signal that I had to pay for. I'll proably look elsewhere next time in town. Meh value for the money

I have stayed at this hotel before, but now with the recently added keycard swipe to operate the elevators is a bit of a disappointment. Especially inconvenient for a disabled person such as myself. There are cameras on every floor. Makes me wonder what goes on in this neighborhood since the recent years I've stayed at this location. Is it that bad […] that a 4 star hotel needs THAT much security right off of Mag Mile?? I also could have done without the touchy feely valet/concierge guy. Don't know his name, but he's foreign. The lobby is small, but pretty and quiet. The rooms are nice, a bit older, but that's the theme. The floors could have been vacuumed a little better in the rooms. Lines pile up for check-in & out, so grab a seat and be patient. There are much better hotels in the area for a better price. Check around. Read more

I loved the location, the hotel was wonderful! Very clean, quiet, with an elegant entrance area. My room turned out to be a suite, with enough space to have a party! I missed a nice restaurant to have breakfast, but it was much nicer than some of the big hotels around, from comparison with other travelers. Everyone on staff was very professional. Personally, […] I missed some friendliness in the behavior of the front desk ladies. Then the door man and bell boy were very supportive, and evened it out! Very nice location, 2 minutes walk to Hancock building, 5 minutes to the Museum of contemporary art, Children's Hospital and Magnificent mile right at your fingertips, without being loud and noisy! It was okay. Good service and the room looked pretty nice. But the building is old and has a number of problems. At 8 in the morning we could not get hot water. Also the elevator took forever and was constantly full. It would be fine, except for the price I paid for the room. At that price it should be better than just okay.

Everything in this hotel is wonderful and posh except the parking arrangement. It took a few try before we figure where the entrance of the parking garage is and its location. It may help to put in map about parking information. I suppose their guests probably opted for valet parking and avoid the issue all together

I have stayed at the Rafaello several times this year and it never dissappoints. Consistently clean and comfortable, this hotel is a good value for Michigan Avenue. The elevator is small and hot in August but that is my only complaint.

The hotel was lovely. Although a bit small, the room was quite comfortable. Unfortunately, I arrived mid-day and they were not able to provide me with a room until the 4pm check in time, which I found a bit disturbing. I learned later that the hotel had been sold-out the evening before and there was a large event in town which apparently made a difference […] in their ability to turnover rooms quickly. It would have been nice to have been made aware of that at the time I attempted to check in. Love the hotel and location, staff always friendly and courteous, however, I was located in a suite that was next to the housekeeping elevator and it was very loud and clanging in the early morning and until around 10pm. That is why I gave the maintenance & comfort a 3.

I booked the Raffaello Hotel based on the good review it has received, so I expected it to be nice, but frankly it's even nicer than I thought it would be.The hotel is decorated very nicely, from the lobby to your actual room, really very pretty. We got the king size room, and it was a nice size room and I love the little dressing table/kitchen area […] between the room and the bathroom. The whole place looks new or recently redone. Great hotel I was there for work and found the room Relaxing with all the comforts of home. Only downside They don't list how go get there via public transit. This would have been. helpful especially since they are several blocks away and you have to change lines ( blue to red)

It is at an excellent location. It is next to John Hancock building and a block away from all the busy shopping areas. Staffs are friendly. Clean room, clean sheets and I enjoyed my stay in Raffaello Hotel.

Beware of the $30 early check-in fee: I arrived at the hotel at 10 AM and had to pay to get a room before 3 PM (and sign an agreement form!). The room was tiny and claustrophobic. There was a walk-in shower with no door (just a little glass separator) and unless you're under 5 feet tall, you'll end up having water on the floor, even outside the bathroom.
