Stayed 2 days on 26th floor facing the lake. Beautiful view. Loud elevators, kids running in hall playing day and night. Pick another hotel if you're looking for a peaceful night. If kids and noise don't bother you, you'll like this place. I wouldn't stay there again.

We went to Chicago for a Valentine's 2 day/night get away and we were very pleased with the hotel. Our room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. I’ve stayed at Hilton properties around the world and loved most of them, but this one ranks near the bottom. While the hotel's location is perfect, the condition is terrible. The carpets were threadbare, the paint was chipping from the doors, and the garbage bins had rust spots on them. Parking is obscenely priced and valet needs 15-20 minutes to retrieve your car. We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton - Magnificent Mile very much. Great location! The room was very nice, very clean and perfect for our stay. Only negative was the hassle with the internet hook-up. This was a really nice hotel. It was just two blocks from the north end of Magnificient Mile, The John Hancock building and the Watertower building (Mall) and Lake Michigan. You could easily walk everywhere you'd want to go, which is great because parking in Chicago is insane and expensive. The worse part of our week end was the weather, it was cold […] and very windy. This is our 2nd time staying at Hilton Suites Mag Mile. It is a block from N Michigan Ave and John Hancock tower. For the price it is a terrific value. The hotel is comfortable and has all the amenities. It is around the block from and behind the Westin. This hotel is located soooo close to John Hancock Center and all the great venues along the Mag Mile. We had a king suite, which has a separate bedroom. The location of this hotel is great. You are 1 block from the Magnificent Mile (N. Michigan Ave) area with tons of shopping and dining options. You are about 2-3 blocks from Rush St. where there is more of a college atmosphere with clubs and pubs. And you are a short walk to some of the best beach areas on the lake. You can take a cab and within a few […] minutes be at the Navy Pier as well. The Magnificent Mile is very family friendly with Disney and American Doll stores. And my wife and I were amazed at how uncommonly safe the area was. We actually walked all the way to Soldier Field from the hotel (about 4 miles) and back after a late game and had no issues whatsoever. The hotel room was very spacious with a separate living area that had a work desk, sofa sleeper, chair, refrigerator, and microwave. The bedroom part had its own flat screen HDTV and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I've slept on in all my travels (probably due to all the walking we did! The bathroom was very clean as well. You have to pay for internet access in the rooms, and the wireless and wired services were extremely slow to where I could not load my email. I contacted the front desk and they were quick to remove the internet charges from my bill without hesitation. The restaurant in the hotel is overpriced, however, the bar and bartender were great. We stayed there and watched some football games and the bartender kept pouring freebies for us while we were there. If you want some amazing Chicago pizza. I highly recommend Ginos Pizza. Fabulous deep dish!! And there are 2 locations within walking distance of the hotel, although we liked the atmosphere at the one off Ontario Street the best. Read more

THE HOTEL WAS OK UNTIL IT WAS TIME TO TAKE A SHOWER. AS SOON AS I TURNED ON THE SHOWER WATER STARTED TO FILL UP THE TUB. DID I MENTION THE SINK TOO. WE WERE IN A RUSH TO GO TO DINNER SO DID NOT TELL THE FRONT DESK TIL THE MORNING, THEY SENT SOMEONE UP TO FIX THE SINK AND TUB. BY THE TIME HE WAS DONE IT LEFT A SMELL IN THE ROOM. Bell Hops and Doormen were very helpful and polite. Long Line and long wait at Check in. Front Desk could have been friendlier and taking phone calls during our conversation was just rude. Room could have been cleaner. Heated Pool was only a notch above cool not warm. Whirlpool was small and sign says only 4 people at a time (good luck during peak times) […] and needs to be regrouted ASAP. Layout of room was nice and bed was comfortable. Like most Hotels in Downtown Chicago Parking is steep! $50.00 to park in their lot. This is a great hotel with a great view, either a city view or lake view!, We have stayed here many times and love the hotel. We especially love the indoor pool on the top floor, with its great panoramic view of the Lake and city. The Hilton Suites hotel exceeded our expectations for comfort, cleanliness, location, and cost in downtown Chicago. Located one block off Michigan Ave., next to the Hancock Tower, and immediately near Macy's and Bloomingdale's malls, the location was perfect for a 3-day stay for my wife and me. The room was a super-clean and comfortable suite on the […] 11th floor. It was quiet (relative to outside noises -- but because we prefer a cooler room, the A/C fan ran to cool the room at night. It wasn't loud but it was a fan continuosly blowing cooler air). The room had a nice, clean bathroom with adequate sink space and a clean tub/shower. The water pressure was amazing and there was plenty of hot water and extra, thick bath towels. The bedroom also had an alcove with a dressing table and mirror. The room had 2 Large TVs (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). There was a wet-bar with a granite counter top, a coffee maker, and a small fridge and microwave. For business travelers, the room also had a nice wide, desk with desktop electric outlet in the base of the light. The Hotel has free WiFi for Internet connectivity. The room was just perfect. Even being on the 11th floor, we barely waited for the elevator. Our check-out time was 2:00pm, which was perfect timing for our scheduled train ride home. The staff was very professional and friendly when we had questions or needed assistance. We would certainly stay at the Hilton Suites again and would strongly recommend it anyone who asked us about our stay in Chicago. Read more

The Hilton is in a perfect location if you are visiting the downtown Chicago area. Everything was in walking distance and when we didn't feel like walking, it was a short cab ride away. Numerous restaurants and unlimited shopping are moments away as is the beach. Pefect place to stay!!

We loved this hotel. For couples the hotel has a make-up area which gave my husband and I plenty of room to get ready in the morning. The bed and pillows were great, which is difficult to find in a hotel. We ate breakfast at the hotel every morning. This hotel earned its overall 5 rating from us. The hotel is very attractive, well appointed and central to everything you want to see and do in Chicago. With the exception of the one employee who bordered on rude during check in, the staff is warm, friendly and very helpful with everything from luggage to recommendations of restaurants to assistance […] with plans for sight seeing. Each time you enter or exit the hotel you are greeted warmly by the staff on the door. Housekeeping is responsive and very helpful. The main floor restaurant and in-room dining are good quality food served by friendly and attentive staff. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Having a suite makes receiving visitors more comfortable without the bed imposing in the visit. The room set up would actually be idea for two couples travelling together. While the valet parking is operated by very friendly staff who bring your vehicle quickly, the service is rather expensive! While the cost is often worth the peace of mind in terms of vehicle safety - the cost of parking equalled almost half the cost of the room itself for the four nights. But this is minimized by all the other pluses!! My only complaint about this experience is that Hotels.com offered a "lakeview" suite for a slightly higher price. The photo shown on the hotels.ca website showed an unobstructed view of Lake Michigan. We chose that and were disappointed when we entered the room to find that our view was through a narrow opening containing a fire escape between the towering buildings between the hotel and Lake Michigan. In fact, there are no views that match the photo. That said, it's a minor inconvenience for a great stay! We will definitely use the Hilton Suites again and recommend it highly. Read more
