the hotel was close to the main street and a lot of choices for food but the rooms were extremely uncomfortable and small. I would pay a little more next time and stay somewhere more comfortable where i have space to put my luggage and move. the room was on the 9th floor and it was extremely loud from the city.

Tiny, tiny room, impossible to keep warm, even with the thermostat set at max (80 degrees). Location near hospital was perfect for me. breakfast excellent. Room impossible for two people.

Hotel is renovated, clean, offers good complementary breakfast, but the rooms are super small, it is smaller than a studio. barely room for a "full" size bed, eventhough room advertised as queen. mounted LCD tv is positioned to the side of the bed so to watch it, had to tilt my head all the time. Cable/signal connection was flaky and sometimes the channels […] were grainy and remained so even after hotel personal worked on it! Desk is just a table that is not made to be a desk, so the chair could not be raised far enough to sit comfortably. no luggage rack, but heck even if there is one, no place for it. Bathroom is elegant, small sink so no room for a lady's make up bag. closet in room has a small file cabinet looking dresser sitting under the closet hanging bar, so cannot hang pants dresses comfortably. on positive side, location is great, but heck there were many other hotels around the area, so not sure what's the advantage of staying here! The room was the size of a shoebox. Although this can be counteracted well, the room felt like a dorm. The door and trim were prison gray, the carpet was dark and depressing and the "dresser" was a metal file cabinet hidden in the closet. There was a small awkward table and small desk. Already knew about the small rooms and noise, and we were okay with that, considering the location...however...We were told we would be able to check in at 3:00, which would work out perfectly because we were going to a White Sox game that evening around 6:00 and we were going to meet people at the park before the game. We got to the hotel at around […] 3:45 and were going to check in and get changed and take the red line to the ballpark. The man at the front desk told us our room wasn't ready (still needed to be cleaned) and we would have to check our bags...and get changed in the lobby bathroom. He didn't even apologize. He didn't offer any sort of discount, or upgrade, or to pay for parking, or anything to make up for their mistake. I've never encountered something like that at a hotel before. In my experience, the room has always been ready, and anytime something isn't up to par, the staff has always made a point of going out of their way to make up for it. To be fair, the place seemed to have a ton of business, and I guess they figured they could afford to disregard one or two guests. When we finally get to check in to the room that night, there is one cup for the coffee machine; which itself had to be moved to the bathroom just so we could find an outlet to plug it in to. Then, when they cleaned the room the next day, they didn't replace the used coffee, or the disposable cups. Never had that happen before, either. Just kind of weird. Read more

This hotel is in the perfect location! You can park your car and walk to where stores, restaurants and things to do are located. Seeing the other reviews.. I don't think the rooms were bad sized. You are not going to dance around in them, but they were a decent size. The only short coming we found was don't get the room that is located behind the elevators. […] We heard them all night long! The hotel is lots smaller then expected and the brakfast was not so good. Cuttlery was plastic and not very handy. Elevator took ages to come down and the room was windy, there the windows did not close properly. The heating made a lot of noise every 5 minutes. Location was very good however.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights and it was not a pleasing experience at all! I had read other reviews regarding the size of the rooms and I thought it should be okay, considering that we will only sleep in the room and the rest of the day we are outside, but it wasn't even tolerable for sleeping! Do not over estimate the size of the rooms. They are absurdly tiny. You risk hitting your head on the wall mounted TV trying to get past the foot of the bed. there is no plaxce to put anything...any where. Oh, and the mattresses are like hammocks. This is not so much a hotel as it is a "crash pad."

I don't mean to complain and I didn't complain to the hotel, but it definately lacked supervision and follow up. Here are the problems I encountered. 1. when I first arrived, there was no toilet paper and the holder was sitting on the sink counter. I had to hunt for toilet paper. 2. beware.....................on check in was informed we had to have a smoking room..had a nonsmoking one( i thought) sister very allergic to smoke plus husband just passed from lung cancer from smoking... no other rooms available.. rooms were small .. enough to place luggage and turn around.. they allowed us to move to another room next day..but only […] had queen bed...no king available... stated room much larger and would put in a roll away bed.. oh my.....had metal sticking in hips, knees, ankles and shoulders... room packed solid when roll away down.. had to place desk chair in bathroom to fit walk way to toilet.. foot the extra 20 bucks and try another hotel... will never ever stay there again..the front desk ladies very nice,,, maintance man never spoke word... front men at door very friendly too... breakfast stopped at 10a,m sharp.... one couple came in at 1004 and all was put up and the man stated firmly its after 10 am... oh my. customer service.. disappointed in indiana Read more

The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. However, the rooms are very cold, the heaters are horribly noisy making it difficult to sleep and the TV only has 6 good channels. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

Ne pas se fier au nom Holliday Inn, cela reste du moyen de gamme.ensuite concernant cet Hotel Cass, c'est la loterie si vous ne savez ou pouvez vous faire entendre. Ancien manager Relais & Châteaux pendant plus de 10 ans, je sais comment cela fonctionne, spécialement dans une chaine. Donc j'avais fait deux réservations, une de 1 nuits, l'autre de 2, […] et bien m'en a fait, car sinon j'aurais passé trois jours dans un placard placé sur une turbine de ventilation (le genre de turbine suffisamment puissante pour air conditionner 300 chambres, une horreur, 55 à 60 dB de ronronnement permanent dans une chambre sur cour (si on peux appeler ça une cour ...). Apres la 3eme demande courtoise, vu qu'il était clair que l'on ne faisait que me repondre "oui oui, oui oui, on verra, j'ai donc surgit à la réception au petit matin disant que c’était lamentable et que donc j’annulais ma seconde réservation comme les conditions hotels.com le permettait, car personne n'etait capable de me fournir un "Good service pour good money" et qu'en tant qu'ancien professionnel cela allait se savoir ... Ni une ni deux, 5 minutes plus tard j'avais une chambre au 14eme et dernier étage avec vue magnifique sur le loop, le Hancock sur ma gauche, la sears sur ma droite.J'ai donné un 1,5 à 2 points pour la premiere nuit, la seconde et troisième rmeritent au moins 4.
