"Nice Place"
This was a nice hotel. The rooms were clean and nice. There was a frig in the room which is always great when traveling with kids. This hotel had some awesome water pressure in the shower too. Nice, clean modern rooms with all the amenities. Exercise room had good, clean equipment for cardio and decent weight machine. Off the lobby, Bar Louie might make you stay down out of your room if you're spending the night. The hotel was great... The resturant was horrible, We ate there our first night the music was very loud.. looking around it didn't seem anyone injoyed the music. The food wasn't good. I had fish and chips.. and a taste of my girlfriends chicken sandwich.. tasted like it was fried with the same batter as my fish. Perfect location, wonderful staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only odd thing was, because we joined your 'club' we were supposed to be upgraded to a suite. We were not. "The Holiday Inn O'Hare-so convenient and comfortab"
We were pleasantly surprised to find that this hotel near O' Hare was just as good as staying downtown and at half the price! We could jump on the Blue Line train which runs 24/7 and be downtown in minutes. We also took buses right off the Blue Line rail and it was so convenient, easy and inexpensive. "Just what we needed!"
My mother, sister and I were in Chicago to box up our mother's belongings with her moving closer to us. This hotel was located in a good spot to get to her place. It was a nice respite after a day's work. I know Chicago is pricey, and the hotel was well priced for our stay. We had free parking, which was important to us. We would not advise having the […] breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant. Definitely not worth the price. Better places for meals outside of the hotel. The bar was a nice place to go after a long day. Bartenders were friendly and talkative. All in all, a good place to stay. Only complaint was we got in late on Sat. night/Sun. morning, around 3AM, and asked for the latest checkout time for the morning, and gave the front desk our room #. We were expecting to sleep till 1pm, but we were awakened by the telephone, […] an alarm clock and by a knock at the door. Some doctor was needing a wake up call, and the front desk had the wrong room. Might have been a problem of communication between the night staff, and morning staff? As a college student with two buddies, when looking for a place to stay near Chicago I hoped to stay as close to downtown as possible and yet still stay in a safe neighborhood and not pay a lot per night. After hours of searching the web I came across this hotel that offered rooms for a good price, a quality name, and a great location literally only […] a 5 minute walk away from the Blue Line Cumberland stop. The trip from the station to the downtown Loop stop at Jackson on average was about 45 minutes. When we arrived the staff was extremely friendly especially since we arrived 4 hours before check in and the manager was more than happy to see if our room was ready, store our bags in a safe place in the hotel, and then provide a parking pass for us. The Hotel was clean, of good quality, and the rooms were very comfortable with a large bathroom, desk, chair, and beds. Also, the hotel is right next to a busy street, but this is hardly noticeable in the safety and quite of your room.
