"Nice Hotel but Outdated"
The hotel was in a great location, and I loved the neighborhood. The staff at the desk were very nice and courteous. The negative aspects was that everything seemed very outdated. "Service above and beyond"

"close to resaurants and boutique shopping"
This hotel is definitely older and it shows, but it served our purposes just fine. Our room was very small and would definitely benefit from some updates and furniture upgrades, but the bed was clean and comfortable and the heat/air was in working condition, so not too much to complain about! Key card access is required for entry into the area with […] guest rooms, which I liked because it made for a more secure feeling. There were 2 parking options, one at a lot 1.5 blocks away with no in-out privileges and one right outside the hotel with unlimited in-out privileges - the 'VIP' parking next to the hotel cost twice as much as the lot, but we opted for it anyway so we could leave and come back if we wanted to. We walked to the Vic Theatre for a show, to several bars, and to a great diner for breakfast. No frills at the Inn, but we got everything we needed out of our stay. Good value for location. Lots of restaurants and bars steps away. Close to Lincoln Park, which has a great zoo and lakefront. Chicago History Museum also close by. "Great Location"
Hotel is in a great location with everything you would need right by it, but the building is showing it's age, the elevator is slow and makes lots of noise when it runs. "Cozy but not very clean"

"Needs Improving"
Overall, the hotel was good. However, a few things could be improved. It is an old hotel but some minor maintenance could improve the conditions. Also, when we got there, a light bulb was missing from one of the lamps. They immediately brought one up but it shouldn't have been missing in the first place. The most disappointing part of our stay was […] the very poor wifi connections. We were on the fourth floor initially. I complained about the connection problem and they moved us to the 2nd floor where it was better but unacceptable. It turns out that in order to receive "high speed" service, you have to pay for it. If I'm not mistaken the hotel was listed as having "free" "high speed" internet. That was not the case. The "free" speed was about the same as the old "dial-up" speed!! "Best Value in Chicago"
What a great experience at the Inn at Lincoln Park. My girlfriend and I were visiting chicago for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and also to attend a concert at nearby Lincoln Hall. We found this hotel after searching nearby hotels and could not have been luckier. The hotel is in a perfect location. Close to an el station, highway, and Lincoln Park. […] The people at the front desk were very helpful and the staff throughout the hotel were very courteous. Parking was relitivly low priced, convenient and plentiful. The neighborhood was great with plenty of restaurants and shops close by. I would encourage anyone looking for a great bargain hotel in the Lincoln Park area to look into The Inn at Lincoln Park. This hotel is in a perfect location - close to the lake, the L train and the Clark St. bus. It is a very safe residential neighbourhood with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and banks. There is a gym nearby and Wrigley Field is 15-20 minutes walk from the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I found this hotel to be more than I expected. The staff were all very helpful and courteous! My room was a King Size bed and was very large and confortable. The furnishings were old style, but very nice and the bed was great. The continental breakfast was good with the usual fare of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, but well organized […] and plentiful in a nice area. The location is great for getting around Chicago, Lincoln Park is a few blocks away and buses are near. A great location to walk around the neighborhood. Would definitel stay here again. "In at Lincoln Park-- great location"
The Inn is located at the corner of Clark and Diversey, a neighborhood rich in restaurants, bars, coffee shops and retail outlets. We arrived early on the day of check-in and just left our car parked in the small lot outside the hotel for $15./day, a reasonable rate. The hotel lot fills up fast which then requires that you park a couple of blocks away […] in a parking garage attached to a mall. The main problem is that the building is not centrally air-conditioned. The window air conditioner in our room was noisy and not particularly effective making it too hot in the room for comfortable sleep. The elevator is also tiny and claustrophobia-inducing. Old hotel, could really do with renovation. Very small room and tiny bathroom also. Very noisy outdide the window early morning. Reasonably clean.
