this hotel is located right around the corner from the mall and local eatery spots. I felt very secure in this hotel location. The staff was very nice and helpfull with any request that were made. "Not as good as expected"
We wanted to have just a relaxing weekend away from home. After reading so many positive reviews published at hotels.com, we really expected something better. The layout of the suite/room is weird; bedroom is small, almost uncomfortable; bathroom small as well, part of it (sink) is just in front of the beds. After the first night, we did not have the […] room serviced. Around 5 PM when we found out, we were told that no housekeeping staff was available at that time. A nice lady that was seated in the lobby, volunteered to do something (turned out to be a housekeeper off time waiting to go home) At least we were able to get fresh towels and a bed touch-up. It was our first time at a Hyatt Place we will definetly go to one again if possible. You get great value for your money. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, 42" LCD, fridge and seating area inclusive. The breakfast was far better than expected and being used to from other hotels of that category. For a stay in Ft. Lauderdale you of course […] have to consider that the hotel isn't anywhere close to the beaches. It takes you about 25 min. to get there.
