"The room was dingy, but the staff were friendly"
There was a very bad smell in my room and I was not exactly sure where the stench was coming from. I believe it was most likely from the filthy carpet. The sink in the bathroom drained slowly and the windows were laced with cobwebs. It was not a very enjoyable experience at all. We were traveling to the Boston area to attend the NCAA lacrosse championships in Foxborough as well as to visit visit Tufts and Northeastern Universities with our high school age daughter. The hotel met our requirements for conveniently located, moderately priced, clean accomodations. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast choices were decent with tv in the breakfast room and plenty of newspapers, the kids had fun in the pool, it was a quick drive to both Boston and Plymouth and the price was right! The room should have been cleaner and the room was very damp from the shower. It also looked like there was some mold starting to grow in the shower. It was a smoking room, which was my mistake when booking, but I can't imagine every smoking room in other hotels stink as bad as this one. Just because people smoke in the room, doesn't mean they shouldn't try to freshen the air after previous guests leave. Had a great time at the location. The chocolate chip cookies at the front desk were tasty. Friendly service and the rooms were soo confy. Got a great deal for a 3 night stay. I was very happy with this hotel. The cost of the room was the best around for what was offered. It was in the middle of everything we wanted to see, which made it also very handy. It was within walking distance of a very large mall. They had a different breakfast every morning. We were there for four days. They also bake cookies that are at the front […] desk 24 hours a day.
