The landmark Brooklyn Bridge links Manhattan with the city’s most populous borough. Waterfront Brooklyn Heights offers superb views of Lower Manhattan. Renowned for its brownstones and leafy neighborhoods, Brooklyn embodies America’s “melting pot.” Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Jewish communities add to the cultural mix. Highlights include Coney Island, Prospect Park, and Brooklyn Museum of Art.

This was a last minute booking for business, the check-in was easy, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. I would stay here again...especially for the great rate.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cannot beat the convenience"
Had a great experience here. Overall, so convenient to everything from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Wish the car services they worked with were a bit more affordable. Also, for a newer hotel, it is getting a bit worn and could use some attending to. Not too bad and certainly it is more than made up for by it's location. We will happily stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A night out with the Girls!!"
New York is a city that you cant really ever be Bored in.... and this trip proved as much!! The Aloft in Brooklyn was an amazing hotel with a very modern décor and a young yet sophisticated feel! I caught the Subway to the Aloft. Using the subway was fine but via google maps it directed me to get off at Hoyt station which isn't far but was VERY complicated […] to find the hotel from this station. I found myselve walking in circles. We even haled a cab in the area after doing a few laps and asking ppl on the streets for directions. The driver using the GPS still couldn't reach the hotel without driving in a few circles. He even had to get out and ask for directions!! (lol... Go figure!!) But he was nice enough not to charge us the whole fare! MORAL of this store: ***Get off at JAY STREET Subway Station!!!! The Staff there were AMAZING! The were very helpful and accommodating... I felt like a star! Because my friends and I were planning on going out at night they extended our check out which I felt was a thoughtful gesture! :) The room itself was small but the use of space was clever!! And then after going out and having an amazing time out on the city and arriving back to the hotel after the sun came up we were offered an even later check out that was much NEEDED! And to top it off.... the day after leaving I called back to the hotel because I thought I forgot something in the room... They remembered me! That was Awesome! I WOULD MOST DEFINNATELY STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location | Hip casual luxury"
Great hotel overall, I'm definitely sold on the Aloft brand of hotels as this was my first stay. Loved the free wifi in room and free gym access. Manager was great and staff extra helpful and charming across the board. Construction in the area didn't disturb me much at all and while the hotel was sold out one of the nights I was there I wasn't kept […] awake by rowdy guests. The only downsides were that my room carpet wasn't as clean as it could have been and the door needed to be wiped down. Location near Brooklyn Heights was fantastic. Plenty of shopping and food options to be had at various price points. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Overnight stay at Aloft"
My husband and I stayed for a overnight trip for a family engagement dinner. The hotel was just what we needed. Convenient to the subway system, within walking distance of stores and eateries, and quiet and clean. The staff was helpful and made sure to move our room upon check-in when they realized we would be beneath the rooftop lounge and it would […] be loud. The rooms were clean and very trendy looking. Very quiet which is unusual in New York. Would stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but small room"
The quality of the room is fine and it is very modern. However, it is also very small. It's good for a 1-2 night stay. The hotel staff was lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"two glitches in what was otherwise a good stay"
Aloft in downtown Brooklyn was a good choice given that I needed to be near BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) one nite and near Manhattan the next. The room is small but well designed. the rest of the hotel is hip looking. The two glitches were -- pkg really is around the corner on the next street and depending on tolerance level and ability to shlep […] your bags -- that might be an issue. It was also more expensive than I thought it would be. The other glitch was that a boiler blew, and my last morning I had no hot water. Given that what you want out of a NYC hotel room is a nice bed, a tv, and a hot shower, I wasn't happy. The manager gave me 10,000 Starwood points as compensation, but not until I had received a certain amount of skeptical attitude from another staff member. My last comment is not really a complaint about a glitch but about the by now tired excuse that hotel staff sometimes use of 'well you booked through hotels.com, so we can't....." -- fill in the blank. It's been years, we all know people use third party travel sites to book and I do not ever want to hear a hotel complain about having rooms filled by a third party site. If they wish to offer less than full service for using a third party site, they should state that on their website. Otherwise, treat me like any other guest. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great alternative"
We enjoyed our stay. A couple blocks from a couple subway stops made it convienent to explore BKLYN and the city. Rooms were clean but very tight and walls were pretty thin. Service was great, we had an unfortunate fire alarm issue early in the morning but the management went out of their way to accommodate us.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel staff should be more friendly!"
Great hotel with comfy small rooms. Know that you are not in Williamsburg but the up and coming restaurants are much better than the others on that area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A not so worth it city view."
Paid extra for a city view, got put on fourth floor with view of old buildings being torn down. Construction crews could be heard through the thin windows~Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall great option if you need to stay near downtown Brooklyn. Easy to walk to almost any of the surrounding neighborhoods like Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, etc. and easy subway access to Manhattan and the airport. Had an overall trendy feel, but wasn't super luxurious. Staff was polite and helpful. Rooms were slightly small, but nice […] and clean. Might want to bring your own shampoo/conditioner since they only had the 2in1 stuff in the shower. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"almost perfect"
I really want to love this hotel. But adjoining doors are paper thin. And my room did have a slight mildewy smell. But overall it more then met my needs. Thankfully I had quiet neighbors. Excellent staff/service. Comfy bed. Loved the aesthetics. Might give it another try?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This Hotel was great. The room was amazing and clean, but the area that the hotel was alright. Overall I enjoy my time at Aloft Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not totally satisfied...."
The hotel itself was fine. But it is too far from Brooklyn Heights and the parking is too expensive @ $39/night. A free, light breakfast or fruit would be nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice stay, very clean and comfy"
Our stay at the Aloft Hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff are very friendly. Our room was very nice and warm when we arrived they also provided us with a crib which was perfect for my two month old. After 10-15mins of checking in the front desk calls to make sure the room and we were okay. The only thing I wasn't pleased […] with was when we asked for ice they told us someone would bring it up but never did finally after waiting 2hrs we called the front desk and they told us we would have to come to the lobby to pick up so we just told them forget it... Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay this was our second time staying at the Aloft this time with our new bundle of joy and we were all happy and would choose to stay at the Aloft Hotel again. "parking needs to be available"
Hotel was lovely very modern. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly....my issue was the 30 dollar a day parking fee, for the amount it was to stay in the hotel there should complimentary parking or atleast a discounted price for itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A hip little spot"
I really liked the hotel room and it was a very nice place overall. It does have a very hip feel to the place and it kind of made me laugh. The location is not great. There wasn't much in walking distance. It is rather centrally located though, and we brought our bikes to get around, which was really great. The only major complaint I had was the thinness […] of the walls. I could hear the TV and conversations in the room next door. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel is very upscale. The rooms are great, very nice, I must say the rooms were wonderful. Internet service was great. I would stay at the hotel again. I did have a problem..the front desk workers are very slow. I saw at least five workers standing around , instead of checking reservation. This was Labor day weekend, very busy, the hotel was getting […] painted in the middle of the last big holiday. The elevator took at least 10 mintues to pick up, only one was running. Overall the staff was polite and this hotel is very nice. The rates are great, but the parking slim. U may pay to have it park for $25-35 bucks..this I suggest, just pay it..in the you will agree. "Nice"
I really liked the actual hotel. The rooms were small (expected for NYC), but very comfortable, clean, and nice. I was by myself, and if I had to share, I do not think I would have been able to handle it, even with only being in the room 6 hours each night for sleep. The bartenders were awesome at the WXYZ bar, really friendly, as was the staff in general. […] The location wasn't the greatest but probably the best you'll get in BK. "Very cleverly put together room"
This room was small but comfortable and well thought out. Wherever you needed a plug, there was one. It was a ship-shape modern streamlined room. It would be good if there was more than one person at the checkout and answer desk. There was always a line.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Labor Day weekend wedding event"
Fun, modern hotel with a pool that a was an unepected treat for myl school age children. we usually stay in Manhattan but family event was in Brooklyn and I've heard good things about this hotel chain. Will try the Aloft Harlem in the future. Only draw back was yellow cab service - horrid! forgot how most cabbies steer away from the outer boroughs! "Plusses and Minuses."
The Good: The room was very comfortable and clean and made the most out of NYC hotel space. The view was nice. The neighborhood has character and the parking wasn't bad considering NYC. The Bad: At the time of our stay, the hotel was under what seemed to be construction and the cafe section for drinks/ice was closed off, as well as two of the three […] elevators for the hotel. 23 floors of waiting to go up and down with an elevator takes more time than I was pleased about (20 minutes round trip - don't forget anything!). The front desk person was a snarky little man that was not helpful to either me, my husband or the other young man working with him who seemed to be new. The top floor has a nightclub on the roof, to which snarky man informed us we were not allowed in, it's private. If we needed ice, we had to exit the building and go to the Sheraton next door. All in all, sans construction and less than competent staff, the hotel itself is a nice choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay at Brooklyn Aloft"
The hotel was a very cozy, stylish, and comfortable place. The room service food was great. It was located right in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. I would definitely recommend to someone. However, they could have offered more amenities to their guests for the price.Genuine Expedia guest review
