"The surroundings are not apparent in photo."
Although in general terms I am satisfied of having obtain a great rate for NYC, the Hotel seems out of place in its surroundings. Many, many, trains pass very near to the hotel. The tracks are about 50 feet away on one side of the hotel and another track runs right in front of the hotel, thus all that you see around you are trains and a great wall of […] the elevated section of Atlantic avenue that passes in front of the hotel with cars running above and trains running underneath. Having said all of the above, the sound of trains passing in our room were not that bad and we were able to catch a good nights sleep. The room was small but well equipped, everything was working correctly: LCD TV, Refrigerator, Coffee Pot, Safe, Hair Dryer, etc. They also included continental breakfast with the regular items and Belgium toast. Parking was included but on a first come first server basis and when full, one would have to park in the street. There is access to the NYC subway system via the Broadway Junction station that is about a couple of blocks away. All in all, if you need lower rates and a place to rest at night and take off in the morning, this seems to be one of the few options in NYC. Our rate through Hotels.com came down to low 100s while the rest of the options in NYC are above 200 +. I think this hotel is an OK option, although you will feel slightly encroached by the surroundings. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Neighborhood of Fear"
The hotel itself is fine. Clean room, low quality breakfast, whatever. It's Brooklyn. The surrounding neighborhood, however, is downright scary. I've traveled a bunch, so when I see other people say negative stuff about the neighborhood I assume they're being over dramatic. Not here- our taxi driver demanded we not leave the hotel after entering, and […] said that after 7 PM we shouldn't be out. The cheapness is NOT worth your personal safety here. Even the short walk to the subway station is testing fate. Seriously- go elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Met my daughters needs!"
Needed a room at the last minute for my daughter who was travelling and this one met her needs. She appreciated the beverages and snacks in front of hotel and the hot continental breakfast in the morning on her way to the hospital. Though the surrounding area made her a bit nervous the hotel was great she said. Thank you!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice Hotel, Great price, Close to subway."
A very clean, renovated hotel which has clean sheets, friendly service, and equipped with a fridge and microwave, flatscreen tv with cable..FREE WIFI. a stones throw away from the L train. only negative thing is the surrounding neighborhood is not so safe at night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Despite all the bad reviews, I decided against them and went to stay at the Lexington Inn. I was there on a Thursday and left on Friday morning. The inn is easy to find, it is right by the train station. As soon as I walked in ,since I booked the room overnight, I was given my key by the nice guy in the front. Got my key and went upstairs to the room […] and it was very neat and tidy and the atmospheres was just really cozy. Had all the proper amenities in the room. Only thing missing was toothpaste but as soon as I called downstairs, they had two packs waiting for me . Nice, calm settings. Will def be staying here again. Thanks LexingtonInn !! "Cheap and clean"
Was looking for a place to sleep for a night in NY without spending hundreds. The Lexington Inn provided that. The neighborhood isn't much and the hotel sits under a train overpass and can be noisy. Wifi didn't work.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location of hotel is too noisy due to subway noise"
Clean hotel, but not a pleasing neighborhood. The noise was too much. I had earplugs and headphones to help drown out the racket from the subway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Noisy environment and bad neighborhood"
I learned on line that the hotel is just next to a NY metro station and can be very noisy. So I reserved a no-window room. The staff still assigned me the room with a window but told me that room is "quiet". My God! It is more than noisy. When the train passes by, you feel the window is literally shaked by the train. I finally had to take a sleeping […] pill to help sleep. The neighborhood does not seem to be very safe either. Though the room is clean with facilities adequately provided. I won't be this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel inside!"
It suited our need - 1 night close to JFK. Nice inside, not very nice neighbourhood. We found the metro close by and had a fine walk on the Brooklyn Bridge by night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel for the price"
The room was very small and the bathroom was not in very good shape. Some of the staff were relatively helpful and friendly. Overall, for the price I would definitely stay here again, however, due to the quality of the place and where it is located, I would not recommend it for a romantic getaway or a family vacationGenuine Expedia guest review
Must admit I didn't know what to expect judging from the surrounding neighborhood. It was a pleasant surprise. The room was excellent and the staff were respectfull and gracious especially in the breakfast lounge. Could use more parking spaces. All in all good hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location, but rest disappointing"
Location is good, but hotel staffs are not polite and courteous , did not Even get a bottle of water at night. Was told to collect from Vending machine, which was not working .Genuine Expedia guest review
There for a very short time. Just a scary location. Trains roaring by about every 20 to 30 minutes or so. Room was clean enough. AC didn't work at first and when I went and talked to the man behind the bullet-proof glass at the front desk - he told me how I should fix it. OH and if someone is in the hallway it sounds as if they're in your room!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Subways on top"
Don't go to this hotel. Subways are right above and you know subway trains run all day and night. Couldn't sleep because of the loudness coming from the trains. Never again will I visit this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"3pm checking no flexibility"
Arrived around noon it was a little hard to find and in a pretty sketchy neighborhood. We were hoping for a somewhat normative checkin time and that if it were 1 we would be able to check in a little early. They told us the checkin wasn't till 3 but we should probably leave our bags. Next morning check out was at 11 am. All in all the hotel was okay, […] clean enough, adequate but the inflexibility about allowing us to checkin at what was a prertty reasonable time seemed kind of short sighted. "Do not stay at this hotel."
The lobby smelled of urine. The staff was not helpful. The room smelled like smoke and the train passing by did not allow me to sleep well. Worst hotel stay of my life!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This place was okay for a short trip. I didn't think the price was fair for what we got. The blow dryer in the bathroom didn't work. The rooms were clean. The entrance smelled like sewer/urine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The beds were too small."
The size of the hotel is really small.I was shocked with how small it is. In addition to the hotel, the room was small. There was 3 of us that checked in. The room had 2 double beds, but they were not big. My mom and I had to squeeze into one bed. The bathroom was really small also. There was no extra bar to put the towels.. "Ok hotel if you are on a budget"
The front desk person wasn't friendly on the phone, it took very long t get myroom key. The employees always seemed distracted and were not professional. "NOISE, NOISE, NOISE"
If you want CHEAP... Then this hotel is for you. However, the noise level is horrible with an elevated train RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL. Also, DO NOT take rooms on the first level due to RUDE noise from the Lobby ALL NIGHT. Also, rough neighborhood.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good location as the L train was around the corner. But horrible sound proofing of rooms, you could hear the train pass by all the time, and neighbors opening and closing their doors.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Way too noisy"
The hotel is located next to a New York Transit elevated train station and a highway; my room was on the side closest to them. Throughout the night and morning the loud rumble from them greatly disturbed my sleep. I put earplugs in, which helped a bit, but not enough to permit a decent sleep. Perhaps a room on the other side of the building would be […] tolerable, but on the side where my room was, that is not the case. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great hotel for adults"
For the price you pay, this hotel is absolutely amazing. It's new and very clean. The hotel is two short blocks from Broadway Junction so you can reach many locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan without any transfers. The location looks pretty rough, but as we left the subway late every night to walk to the hotel we always saw at least three cop cars […] on watch, including one in the hotel parking lot. This is not technically a 5 star hotel, but between the price, location and cleanliness, I can't imagine a better deal in NY. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
There were cigarette burns in the sheets, the hair dryer did not work, and the lamp between the beds did not work. The Lobby was not appealing at all, it pretty much set the tone for the room we rented and overpaid for.Genuine Expedia guest review
I would not recommend this place to any one. First of all, there are only 13 parking spots for the entire hotel... And we weren't lucky enough to score one. Parking in that area was dreadful. It was loud out. The train tracks are right outside the window. The breakfast was bad. The worst part of the experience was at 3am when a complete stranger opened […] our door to our room!! The night crew didn't know the room was already taken and gave someone else the key! Then they call our room to ask how we got there! It was terrible. We had to explain that the day crew checked us in. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"This Hotel Was Great"
I don't see why people are complaining. This hotel was nice and quiet minus the trains but it's NYC. Unless your A light sleeper it won't wake you up decent prices considering the time frame I was in. Otherwise no complaintsGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mostly adequate. Very rough are. Think twice."
The hotel is in a rough neighborhood in east new york. If you don't belong there, you will stick out a lot. Wouldn't recommend arriving by subway, even during the day. The price I paid wasn't really low enough to justify the dangerous location. The place itself is ok, well-kept, and run by a courteous staff consisting of south asians (India I think) […] from behind a bullet-proof glass window where you slide the credit card through a slot. The hallways and room smell faintly of cigarettes and curry powder. The reception is meant to be 24 hours but sometimes is left unstaffed for a few minutes, with the front door wide open. Street walkers come in with their johns from off the street sometimes, but I saw them turned away despite plenty of rooms being available, which I think is good. The main actual clients seemed to be either people like myself who didn't know what they were getting into (including some Europeans) and some former residents of the neighborhood (East NY) who had made some money and got out, and were coming back for a visit. The reception is willing to call a "cab" for you, which in my case was a Dominican guy in an SUV with no meter. The room was perfectly adequate, comfortable, and clean. I commend the staff for making the most of difficult circumstance, but think hard on whether this is really the hotel for you. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quality Inn Queens"
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the subway, but we could hear the subways cars all night since it is above ground. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast, but it only had cereal, toast, donuts and bagels.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Quality Inn Brooklyn"
If all you need is a place to sleep at an affordable price, then this place is fine. Don't expect a "nice view" from any of the windows and if you are a light sleeper, you may want ear plugs since the city's lullaby is the train overhead. It served its purpose for what I needed, but, some folks may be more particular.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
