"Great corner suite."
I stayed in the corner suite. The room had a great view of downtown. Two very large rooms with a shower and separate tub. I had room service and impeccable service at the hotel. Great pool and bar area. Busy night life and is walking distance from Bob's chop house.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I loved my stay at the W Hotel. The location was very convenient and I could walk practically everywhere. They also have an Acura car experience to drive you if something is not walk-able which was excellent. The gym is fantastic! I used it every day. The cozy room was not too small and felt like home and not a hotel. If I was staying with someone, […] the fact that the shower/tub is open to the rest of the room probably wouldn't have been ideal. The tub/shower combo was hard for a shorty like me to get in and out of because it was so deep and the wall was so high, but it was nice for taking a relaxing bath. The spa was good. I got the Over the Hills and Far Away treatment the last day of my stay and it was the best spa treatment I've ever had. I will say the front desk attendant at the spa was not as welcoming and nice as everyone else at The W but maybe she was just having a bad day. One negative was having to pay for internet service. But overall I had a fabulous experience and felt very cared for during my stay. You will love all the little details they do to make your experience feel very personalized and welcoming! "Highly Recommended"
Had an amazing stay this past weekend at the W Austin. When we originally booked the room, we booked a queen bed. And to our surprise, when we arrived, we asked to upgrade and our upgrade request was met free of charge. We ended up getting a huge room with a king size bed that had a balcony overlooking the pool. It was better than I could have possibly […] imagined. The car valet service was excellent and our car was always ready by the time we arrived downstairs. Not to mention, the bar on the first floor of the hotel allowed us to celebrate our engagement without ever having to leave the hotel. "All was very good except a few things"
I was visiting Austin for business. A quick weekend trip and back home. Everything was great from the hotel valet, front desk, and room service. However when i tried to shower in the morning, the water pressure was barely anything. I ended up having to take a bath. I understand trying to be eco friendly but this was just unacceptable. Hotel was very nice. Great staff and amenities. There were some bachelor and bachelorette parties at the hotel the weekend I was there. Lots of young people partying at pool. We were there for Keller Williams Realty's Mega-Camp and we couldn't have been more comfortable. The service- particularly the concierge, was just fabulous. They did a great job assisting us with dinner reservations and transportation and recommendations for restaurants, etc. Overall, an excellent, however pricey, experience. I stayed at the W Austin for 3 Nights. I chose the hotel for location (I was attending a trade show at the Convention Center) and quality of design and service. I try to avoid the typical hotels as much as possible. It did not disappoint. Immediately on check-in, I was welcomed by friendly staff and a very modern, well designed lobby. The room, likewise […] was a pinnacle of modern design and featured top quality furnishings, and amenities. It was larger than I expected (normally these design type hotels have quite small rooms for the base rate prices). Flat screen TV, large bed, desk, comfy chairs, large glass shower, separate toilet, etc. During my stay the staff was extremely helpful. The provided excellent restaurant and shopping advice, and even made reservations for me at a place that doesn't take reservations - Uchi, one of Austin's top restaurants. In addition, they offer an Acura car service. They will arrange a car (SUV actually) to take you to pretty much anywhere. I had them drop me off at South Congress one day for shopping. It's 100% free! At night the hotel lounges are transformed into a very popular bar. All 3 nights I was there, it was quite full (but not too much so), with live DJs playing, and very energetic crowd of 20-30ish, well dressed and friendly people. If you are looking for a quite place, this might not be it, but I was happy I could have a few drinks without having to leave the hotel. All in all, I enjoyed my stay and would certainly return.
