It was sooo comfortable. The bed and the bathroom were perfect for our occasion. The room is neat, clean. The hotel staff when checking in are so rude and uncaring about their clients. We were very happy with our stay at Casulo hotel this weekend. Very clean, large spacious rooms. Our room had a glass wall that faced out to the room; interesting to view your SO in the shower if you like that; there is a blind you can pull down for privacy. The continental breakfast was pretty lame, but made to order hot food was great. Omletes for […] 3 dollars, waffles cheap as well. The bar wasn't open on the weekend, which I foulnd odd ( it was on Thursday night) If you are into beer, check out the Whip In. Great beer on draught, awesome, cheap Indian food, live music (free). "Unique and adorable hotel"
The decor is beautiful and the space is well-arranged. I would absolutely stay here again. The exercise facility is mediocre, and the pool is small, but I didn't use those amenities. I didn't sleep well. I do have difficulty sleeping away from home, but the room was noisy. I could hear the TV and kids next door in the wee hours of the morning, as well as the refrigerator (right next to the bed) and people using the ice machine across the hall. On the plus side, the front desk working the evening shift was extremely helpful and friendly. When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the bad neighborhood and the property was cluttered with trees that had been cut down and left to rot in the weeds that grew around it. The appearance of the building and it's amenities was dirty and not well maintained. I checked in and headed up to my room. The room was a great size and the bathroom was […] really cool. Upon inspecting the room, I found a used bar of soap on the ledge of the tub, an open used bottle of shampoo on the back of the toilet, a random screw left on the bathroom counter. The remote control to the TV was very sticky and gross. The internet never actually worked while I was there. The balcony door was not sealed, the wind howled all night threw it and wouldn't stay shut unless I dead bolted it. The furniture was badly scratched, stained and chipped. It wasn't a pleasant stay. "Not The Typical Chain Hotel"
Very trendy and fun! Different from the chain hotels, which is the reason we tried this place out! The staff are very pleasant and helpful - they even upgraded our room just because the better room was unoccupied. Hotel rooms are very new. The room my husband and I stayed in had a double rainfall shower head and a separate tub. The hall on the third […] floor had some patched areas that looked like they were being prepped for paint and a few scuff marks here and there, but those were the only things wrong with the building. I think the building is older which they have renovated, but the hotel is very beautiful on the outside and inside! There is a pool and hot tub on the outside. "Disappointed with our Stay"
Although a great room and reasonably well maintained, the staff missed some of the fine touches of a hotel aspiring to be of higher quality. The service was inconsistent. Eg. We pre-arranged for a cab on New Year's Eve, and none was scheduled. When they offered to drive us to our destination, they did so in a vehicle which had no back seat! In general, […] it was a nice hotel, but not worth the money they charged us to stay there. In addition, the hotel charged us $50 for incidental fees, to be refunded later. Most botiique hotels don't have that policy, but instead keep your credit card number as a hedge against damages, theft, etc. There were some other small things, but small things and special touches are what make a hotel more exceptional than average.
