The petite suite I stayed in was well appointed, very clean, and comfortable. Bed was very firm, which is not my comfort zone. I did not care for the bathroom "large picture window" view into the bedroom....No privacy! However the bathroom with shower and large soaking tub was a nice feature. I used this hotel to get away with my fiancé and a few friends. The rooms where amazing in layout and very cozie. Staff where very nice. And the hotel itself is a very modern look with great accommodations for a great price. I have travel around and this was a first. I will definitely be back.

The staff were very nice. The room was adequate and comfortable. I was there for a conference which was held at the Palmer Center and the location was convenient and the price was good. Another plus was that the wi-fi and parking were free, which is not the case for other hotels in the area.

The hard water/softener in the shower makes it feel like you are showering with soapy water and can't rinse fully no matter how long you shower. The rest is pretty good.

The staff at Casulo hotel were nice and helpful, but the bed was rather uncomfortable. It was sort of like sleeping on a hard floor. Also, the free breakfast was not very exciting, a very small selection of danishes or bagels plus coffee or orange juice.

The hotel is beautiful. I love small spots and this was perfect. My cousin and I stayed there on a business trip and quickly realized it was a not a place for friends or cousins to be 100% comfortable. The room is very cute and clean. The bathrooms needed a little attention but nothing that grossed me out to bad. ( I am a freak when it comes to bathrooms). We did have broken latch on the door and we addressed that with the front desk. Didn't partake in the continental breakfast and opted for more substantive breakfast. I had a great stay, and I enjoyed it as always! It was my 3rd stay. The only gripe I had was that the tv wasn't programmed correctly, and I was originally told the tv only got 3 channels, and it wasn't true. Someone else helped me get it programmed correctly. Otherwise, I really like the hotel, it is always nice and neat and clean and very quiet.

I needed a place to stay last minute and found this little hidden spot. This Hotel is pretty cool. The rooms are cozy and spacious. The design of the room is simply amazing. There are a few things that need improvement. The staff isn't friendly or accommodating. I booked a night stay with Hotels.com and received one rate then I extended my stay and […] they charged me almost double. The staff wouldn't budge and asked me to take that up with Hotels.com. This hotel does provide a continental breakfast, but it's lame. Their fresh fruit is very minimal and they also have cereal and yogurt. The hotel does have a bar but they don't seem to be open for business. Hotel doesn't provide a clock radio. Their decor lacks interest in the hall ways and you will hardly notice the apartment complex next door because you'll get a good night sleep. Read more

Maybe its my fault for not reading the reviews properly but I didn't realize I was staying at an Asian themed hotel... Which wasn't bad but definitely not what I was looking for. We were the only hotel in the area surrounded by apartments. The view was only apartments. The hotel was also empty. The comforter and sheets were very worn out so much so […] that we had to go buy a blanket at target adding another expense we hadn't planed being that we paid more for this hotel then a more well respected chain of hotels. The continental breakfast was only bread coffee and water. I expected atleast juice or cereal with the price we paid. My over all experience was disappointing and I wouldn't return. Read more

The hotel's decor was very pretty -- more modern style. The bathroom in the hotel was like a spa. I stayed in a petite suite and overall, it was great. Better than a Marriott. The only negative comment would be there was no one at the bar one evening for happy hour due to staff. Very quiet atmosphere! Would like to go again!

Room spacious. Bed comfy. TV didn't work properly-was told to call TWC-so issue not addressed by mgmnt.. Vinyl privacy shade didn't pull down, so no privacy for showering, which was not realized until late night. Vinyl is tacky. Glass shower door and glass wall to bedroom are a odd and unappreciated design leaving no privacy and intrusion of lighting […] from bathroom. The floor towel was so old it was shredded on the ends though it was replaced - housekeeping should be made aware to be consistent with higher standards. They refill toiletries as some labels were washed off , again standards challenged. Mgmnt was friendly and good service. Appreciated inclusive cont'l breakfast. The rooms here are very fun for a romantic getaway. However, the decor throughout the rest of the hotel is very cheap looking compared to the very nice rooms. Loved the concept for the rooms, just wasn't a fan of the rest of the hotel.

I didn't want to stay at your standard 3-star hotel/motel, so we paid abit up for the Casulo. Big mistake. The photos of the hotel look great, but underneath is a different story. Our room smelled when we first entered, and didn't look/feel clean. We came back at 5pm one day, and our room was not even cleaned. And on the days when they Come in to clean, […] they would forget to clean some things like emptying out the coffeemaker, etc. The lobby area had trash on the floor. Have stayed there before. Great bath and very comfortable newer beds. Rooms are good size too. Great if your business is downtown, and you don't mind renting a car.

the pictures of this hotel online were very misleading. the room was oddly decorated and the worst was the smell of MUST and MILDEW in my room, the rooms always felt damp too from humidity. the coffee was left in the pot and not cleaned out and even the smell when you walk into the hotel was a bit odd, i was really disappointed.

The first time I stayed here I loved this place. I'm not sure what happened, maybe they hired new staff and they haven't been trained but I was very disappointed. I stayed 4 nights and every day when I passed the laundry shoot it was open. I closed it myself as I was concerned a child could fall in. The beds in room were sloppily made - I had to remake […] the bed so the sheets stayed on the bed. Simple things like having to request toilet paper because cleaning crew didn't leave an extra roll in the room. Also, they advertise a "happy hour" from 5-7 daily but their bartender quit, and the hotel staff didn't make other arrangements. I can't say enough good things! The hotel is very stylish and the rooms are luxurious (including a a rainfall shower head). The bed was super comfortable. I found the hotel quiet and the staff friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. It is accessible to 35 and South Austin, but you definitely need a car.
