You expect a motel near a freeway to be somewhat noisy, especially on a festival weekend. However on Friday night several car alarms went off. On Saturday night someone pulled in with their stereo blasting at 5 am. By Sunday the South by Southwest Festival was over so i was looking forward to a quiet night of sleep. it was quieter, until the trash trucks […] arrived at 6am. As an native Texan and long time Austin fan, this hotel is a fair deal. Very sketchy neighborhood and bag people aimlessly wandering around the grounds but hey it is AUSTIN! Didn't feel completely safe and worried about my car parked outside but everything worked out perfectly. I guess one shouldn't judge.

This hotel offers a great rate and is at a convenient location. We have found our hotel for any Austin events we may attend. Cleanliness was not perfect but was good. Although the heat was not working the maintenance crew was prompt in getting it fixed. Its decent for the price, The only thing I can complain about was that the drains had clearly visible wads of hair, but the beds were comfy and the air conditioning was functioning so that's all that really mattered

This hotel was not the greatest by any means. We changed hotel roons because the first room was down right gross! The chairs and floors had what looked like throw up/anything else on them. Under the beds looked like poo droppings and the bottom of bath tub was gross. Though the 2nd room was an UPGRADE to this one. The maids do not clean this hotel well. […] Bathtub had a mildew curtain and bath tub had filth at the bottom which I had to put a towel down just to be comfortable taking a shower, sink had so much hair & gunk that it didnt drain well. The hotel is located at a very nice location close to I-35 but it is very unclean. The rooms are really old and have not enough light in them. The bathroom fixtures are peeling off and the towels are not upto the quality of Baymont Hotels. This is definately not worth the money they charge.

Showers and sinks didnt drain enough to clean out the grossness from other peoples stays. I will most likely pay a bit more to stay somewhere else next time. My female companion was totally grossed out. I do have to say our friends room looked a bit cleaner. Dennys is across the parking lot so thats nice

Besides the hookers and the pimps in the back parking lot where I had to park, the towels were dirty, the door didn't seal and I was given a room right next to a Jr High were I got to learn all about what was happening at the school every morning at 8. Other than that, it sucked!

I came into town for a Reunion in which everyone else was at another hotel. My amenities were no less than theirs. The price was right and the hotel staff friendly each and every time I spoke to them. The room was clean and I had plenty of towels. Would recommend to friends.

the staff was very friendly, the rrom was very clean, the beds were soft and freshly made, the area was right off the highway next to a dennys and a gas station and I did not feel unsafe. they had a security guard walking the grounds at night. they had flat screens with hd premium channels. the front desk did give us a heads up that the area was experiencing […] a high volume of black crickets, they had a flier explaning the reasns why. (time of the year) I only saw one ckricket, it was dead, my dog pulled it out from underneath the table. they are pet friendly and did not see any markings from previous pets. the room smelled good and the ac was already turned on before we entered the room making it nice and cool by the time we arrived. i did not get to see the breakfast.. I over slept. it was quiet price was good, even though i saw the next day (sunday) was about ten dollars cheaper. it was perfect for a weekend trip to austin. we will for sure be staying here from now on on all of our austin trips. the bathroom faucet waas leaking, there was mold around the caulking of the tub and a smashed raoch on the wall of the restroom. i've stay similar baymonts and had a pleasant experience. hope this was an isolated incident, but i rate it as i experience it.

My room itself was very clean, well-lit, and neat. However, I booked a king bed and was given two doubles. which was fine, but just different. Additionally, there was some black stuff in my shower, and the front door stuck a little bit, which was a little bit unfortunate.

This was a last minute getaway to Austin. Booked the hotel while driving and didn't know what to expect. The grounds were typical to a hotel that sits by the highway. Still quiet enough at night to allow some deep sleep. Denny's located just next door was convenient come the next morning. The staff was cordial and efficient. My room had a very comfy […] bed to sleep on with a larger flat screen than expected....just couldn't find remote. Room located next to hallway and the only sounds came from people walking up and down the stairs. Maids storage was located next to room but never to bothersome. I think I would stay here again. I have stayed at this Baymont at least 4 times in Austin. I have always been pleased with everything about the hotel. It is very conveniently located right off of the Interstate. The surrounding area is a little commercial, and sometimes you'll have people approach you for money, etc. However, you can't go anywhere in Austin these days without that […] happening. I wish the rooms had mini-fridges, but everything else is nice. For the price, I don't think you can beat this place for a nice, convenient place to stay. Read more

The hotel staff was well-trained and professional, however the hotel is old and in a bit of disrepair, much like the surrounding neighborhood. The location was very convenient to get to downtown Austin and had several restaurants nearby.

This is a good choice if you want to visit Austin, near downtown and all the nightlife, yet very affordable. The room was clean, and reasonable for the money. The breakfast was servicable, did the trick to last us until 4:00 PM. The only drawbacks were that the two beds were not queen, but "double," so too small for a couple (there were no King bed […] rooms available), but fine for two singles, and the A/C was pretty loud, and very cold on the bed next to it. But overall, for the money and location, it's a good choice - better than the Motel 6/Red Roof, etc, which tend to attract a motley crew type of clientel. It was my first time staying at a Baymont Inn. The hotel was good for the price. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast is a 3.8 out of 5 stars I would say. There were a few ants in our room, but it was overall clean and very comfortable. The location of the hotel was nice. Right off the highway and restaurants close by. Our main complaints was that the plumbing was not that good. When taking a shower the water would not drain. Other than that our overall stay was nice.

My only major issues are these: The carpet in my room was not as clean as it could be. And I don't mean dusty... but walk around after a shower and have a smudgey-color on the soles of your feet... that's the kind of not as clean I mean. It seemed all it needed was a good steam cleaning, and maybe to not let roofers rent from them again! Also, the […] water pressure in the commode was not great. Sometimes it took three times to flush, even with only liquids in there. However, the staff was really friendly, and helpful, even asking about the event I'd come to Austin for when I checked out on Monday. There was an offer of a newspaper, and a smallish, (and carb-heavy) breakfast offered with my room as well. It's a well-run place, located next to a Denny's and convenient to both the highway, and where I needed to go. The beds were comfy and clean, especially the sheets, so that was extra nice. I felt fine about leaving items there when I was away for over 24 hours as well. I didn't turn on the TV, so I don't know if the cable channels were any good or not. I'd recommend this hotel for what I used it for, a place to sleep in between events. It's not a romantic getaway place, but the water was hot, the beds cozy and the price right for me. Read more

Great location and great price. The staff was very accommodating. The toilet in our room was stopped up and when we told the front desk, they told us that maintenance was off for the day so they moved us to another room at no extra charge. Will definitely be returning.
