I must say we were pleasantly surprised at the Hyatt. The lobby bar was cozy and reasonably priced, the food was good, and the staff really well trained. Our room was updated and comfortable, as well as all other aspects of our stay. My wife and I enjoyed our experience. Hotel staff was awesome. Our room had a wonderful view of the river and the hotel was walking distance from everything. We will be back and will hopefully get to stay a bit longer...

Great trail behind hotel. We rented bikes and rode 4 miles. It is also right next to the bats under the bridge. Downtown within a good walking distance and cheap cab rides ($6.00) to South Congress where many of the food trucks are. We took a cab ride up the hill and walked back to our hotel afterwards.

It was a beautiful hotel. We used the bike trolly to take us to 6th street and it was great. paying for parking at the hotel sucked and you have to pay for internet use too. It was walking distance from mostly everything. Embassy was right across the street though. It was worth it.

Overall enjoyed the hotel. Location was convenient. Internet for $25 for 48 hours a rip off. Got the breakfast buffet included in our rate $17/person otherwise the cost would be quite expensive. Clean, easy access and only a few blocks from 6th street. SoCo a short drive or a medium walk.

I had an absolutely fabulous time in Austin & the stay at the Hyatt made it even better. It is in the perfect location on the water. Central to many outdoor activities, wonderful restaurants & tons of local music, bars & shopping. Loved the hotel service. Didn't get to take advantage of the gym, but it looked very large, clean & user friendly. We did […] however take advantage of the pool & hot tub which was fantastic. Extremely clean grounds. Our hotel stay was meant to relax, eat out, and relax. This was a weekend get-a-away Christmas gift from my husband after all the hussle and bussle of hosting holiday parties and having a large group over for New Year's Eve. We always enjoy visiting Austin and staying at the Hyatt Regency was truly what we needed. The river and city view was awesome. […] We kept our drapes opened the whole time. We could have used a refrigerator and microwave in the room for the leftovers we brought in from eating out, but other than that, our stay was fabulous and very romantic. Read more

If you have the chance to have a riverview room, the hotel's location is amazing with a view that includes both the river besides the hotel and Austin's skyline right behind that same river.

This hotel has a great location, that's it. The boats on the river are in no way affiliated with the Hotel. The staff doesn't know the shedule or have copies. The hotel is waaaay overpriced, paying $2 for a bottle of water and $9 for Internet and $14 for overnight parking after the price you pay for a room is just Ludicrous. Wonderful view of the river, sits right on the bike trail. Staff was friendly, helpful, and competent. Do not have a single complaint about our stay. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when we visit Austin.

One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in and definitely not worth it for what I paid for it. 1st just like other people have posted they will give you a double room instead of a king size bed. It seems like they know this and were ready to tell me within a few seconds “We do not honor 3rd party bookings for king size beds”. I argued with them that it […] was me and my wife’s first anniversary could they try to do something but they weren’t having it and didn’t even look to see if anything was available. 2nd. As soon as we get in the room I tried to turn on the TV and it didn’t work and called for maintenance. After 30 minutes of trying to fix it he said he will be back later to replace it. 1-1/2 hrs later he came back with a different TV as a replacement. 3rd. My wife and I didn’t look at the sheets right when we got there but after coming back from dinner we were getting dressed to go out and I looked at the blankets on one of the beds and there was white dog hair on the sheets. I called down and they did replace the sheets but you should always have clean sheets from the beginning. When I check out I told the staff this and they act like it wasn't a big deal and to my surprise they acted rude and like I was making a big deal of this and that I should have been happy by even staying there. I have stay at hotels all over the US in room budget motels to the Sheraton Downtown Denver and by far this is the worst place I have stay at. Read more

We stay at the Hyatt because we were going to "Carnival" at the Palmer Events Center which was about 2 blocks away. The Hotel, the People, The Location and especially the Price was everything anyone could ask for!

We stayed here for a little one night anniversary get-away from the kids having booked a Riverview King Room. From the check-in/parking, to the location, to the quality/cleaniness of the room, & of course the great view of downtown/Lady Bird lake(a.k.a. The Colorado River), the overall experience was great!
