Since we flew in for a day at the High Museum, the Artmore was marvelously convenient and in easy walking distance; and a Hotels.com special deal convinced us to try it without seeking references. Fortunately, the staff was surprisingly helpful (compared to many city hotels), the room was nice and the outdoor courtyard was just enchanting (given that […] the weather was just right). We were impressed enough to consider joining their points-for-stays program that they share with other independent hotels. The only problem was that the A/C in our room was a bit noisy and positioned less than 3 feet from the head of the bed, making sleep difficult, although we figured that was likely the result of taking the special price. We also had an exceptional dinner with superior service at Veni, Vedi, Vinci restaurant just 2 blocks away, as well as a fun 'Bohemian' lunch at South City Kitchen 2 blocks farther...and were pleased to be told that it was safe to walk back to the hotel after dark (a waiter said several colleagues live nearby and do it all of the time). I enjoyed my stay here - the staff was excellent, service was great. The bed could've been more comfortable, but the location was perfect and the price was >$20 less than the 4 comparable hotels close by. For that, I am happy! Close to the Symphony, Museums, University, & the Gaybrohood - this was a great stay!

Delivers beyond the price. Nicely designed rooms and mini-suites with big spa tub, comfortable bed, spacious. Across the street from the High Museum and also MARTA for easy airport access, near lots of good restaurants and close to Atlantic Station. Good service and nice staff. I have stayed there twice and will be back.

Adorable boutique hotel right across the street from the Marta. Perfect location. Everyone here was very nice and accommodating. My husband and I were in Atlanta to hear an evening lecture at the High Museum of art and to view the exhibition. We stayed at the Artrmore, which is easy walking distance to the Museum (and to the Performing Arts Center too.) The Artmore is clean, comfortable, and unique. It has a beautiful open air courtyard, with a fountain and fire ring and trees […] and sitting areas. On chilly nights (like the one we were there, they turn out outdoor heaters and have blankets on the couches to make it comfortable. Overall, I liked this hotel. The room was very spacious and nice. However, it could have been a bit cleaner. There was a large stain on the bathroom floor and the tub was not cleaned very well. The front desk worker spoke very softly making him difficult to hear. Also, the free breakfast and coffee ended too early (9:30 am).

Overall my stay was very nice. I stayed for two nights and had no issues. Room was clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly. I was a little surprised at the condition of the room. It seemed a little rundown. For example, paint needed work and wallpaper had patches where things had been repaired. No big deal, I just expected more for the reputation […] and money. My biggest surprise was a call from the housecleaning department in the morning asking if I wanted my room cleaned. At higher end hotels, I always expect my room cleaned and towels replaced the next day. Probably not a big deal, but if I was still sleeping and the maid called to see if I wanted my room taken care of, I would be furious. Maybe stop by my room and see if the do not disturb sign is on the door. Again, not a huge problem. I liked the hotel and location enough that I would stay again. But for a few extra bucks, I may look elsewhere. Read more

the hotel location was very good for my purpose, and I found an excellent Italian restaurant within walking distance. There were many places to eat within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I think the conversion from an old building (don't know what it was before), could have been done better. They tried to give the rooms […] a contemporary feeling, but would have done better if they went for a more traditional look and feel. I was on the first floor and could hear the floor above me creak when it was walked on. However, that did not bother me. Nice big screen TV , free WiFi, nice desk area, and mini refrigerator. We were excited about staying there from the pictures but they did not do justice. The place is beautiful, well taken care of with a very friendly staff. The courtyard lounge is very cool to meet friends or make new ones. Right across the street from the MARTA station is a bonus!

Had a great stay here on a weekend getaway with some friends. Loved the unique decor of the hotel and the atmosphere. Yes, the building is older, and if you look very closely a little rough around some of the edges, but on the flip side you also get nice details that you don't find in most of your standard, sterile chain hotels in the same price range […] - things like the real marble tiled bathroom floor, individual doorbells for each room, windows that open, etc. And overall, the updates/rennovations seem great - the mini-kitchenette/bar area in the room, the shower head was great and there was plenty of hot water, and the beds were super-comfortable. The portrait of Audrey Hepburn in the room was a nice touch, and appropriate at least for our weekend :) Also loved the courtyard with the fountain and gas fire. The service at the front desk did leave a little to be desired. When we checked in they gave us keys but told us the wrong room number; later when we called from the room to ask for extra towels they said they would bring them right away, but we never did get them. Also, when we returned late (but not too late) from going out dancing, it took a while to round up a valet guy to re-park the car for us. But other than that it was a good stay. I would recommend. The shower knobs to control the hot and cold water were reversed. It was kind of annoying. The staff was great. Breakfast Buffet was a very good and was a good value. The Marta stop across the street made it extremely convenient.

Stayed from Friday to Monday in November. We used MARTA to travel anywhere, so it was very convenient to stay at this hotel. However there were not much in the area like convenient stores or places to eat. On Saturday evening, there was a party or event with loud music and I had to call at the front desk. They told me that it will end at midnight, so […] I could not sleep until then. Other than that hotel was very cute and charming. Mall was close by but if you walk, it will take 20-30 minutes with a lot of traffic. However if I will visit next time, I may stay in downtown or more center of mid town, so I can walk to different restaurants. Read more

While check in was a little bit abrupt, overall the service was excellent. From the bar staff to the front desk later on in the night everyone was very helpful. I had prepped for the automatic $19.95 valet service coming in, but wasn't aware they that they do a $25 "incidentials" charge when you sign in ($20 of that being the valet service). But overall […] with the value of the hotel the $25 was nothing. Also yes, there is a vending machine on another floor with nearly the same items as the stuff they charge at a much higher rate in the room. We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable. The WiFi wasn't working too well and the hot/cold shower water fluctuated but the room was well-appointed, comfortable, and had all modern amenities. It is a really nice hotel. The only down sides are the breakfast and that there is no good coffee, other than the $2 k-cups in the room. Those should be free I think! The hotel is old so you can hear what goes on in the hall, so bring earplugs. But other than that, I would stay here again.

We were attracted by the images of the public areas (contemporary & stylish) and the rooms (simple but elegant). The parking valets and front desk staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The bedroom was as pictured, & nicely kitted out. The space between the beds & walls was tight, making it hard to manoevre a suitcase in and out of the […] room, and to open & close the curtains. The bathroom was below expectation, & needed a facelift. Corners were grungy and caked with old dirt, tiles were stained, the water temperature in the shower and sink were hard to adjust. Plumbing from nearby rooms was noisy in the night. We arrived late in the evening, exhausted & hungry, but not inspired by the offerings in the bar (there's no restaurant). Front desk sent us on an unsuccessful bus trip to huge shopping area, we finally ate a great meal at nearby Nan's. This hotel is not inexpensive & it was disappointing that absolutely everything was an additional charge. The room has a fully stocked minibar and other amenities, but prices are outrageous. E.g. $18 for a mini-bottle of cheap wine. $2.75 for a small bottle of tonic. The room has a coffee maker, but coffee is $3+ per cup. Breakfast is $10/person. If you want 'complimentary' coffee, it's only available in the evening from the bar. Valet parking is $19.50 per night. All these prices are before tax and tips. Please Artmore: for what you charge, you should be offering the same free amenities as much less expensive hotels! Read more

The Artmore is in a wonderful Midtown location close to lots of restaurants and things to do. The central, outdoor patio/bar seemed to attract a nice but relatively subdued crowd. We were greeted promptly by the valet and the front desk and were checked in quickly. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, but a few quibbles: they make […] you pay for each cup of in-room K-Cup coffee (free coffee is available in the lobby from 6-10am); the bathrooms are quite small, and have somewhat awkward partial glass-block walls that make them less than private if someone else is in the main part of the room; the beds frames were VERY loud -- every toss and turn in our own bed was heard, and we could hear the upstairs neighbors' "extracurricular activities" as well. That said, the staff was friendly and relatively attentive; we had to wait a few minutes on a couple of occasions to have our car keys taken/our car brought to us, but it was not a major inconvenience. This hotel was a great find! It is easily accessible from the highway and across the street from the MARTA subway station. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful in making restaurant suggestions. The hotel has a great courtyard in the middle which was great for enjoying a glass of wine in the evenings. Would definitely recommend!

It was super easy to get to and located such that it was very easy to get out & about town to see/do things whether driving or on foot, close to a beautiful large green park. The best thing I came away with was the sense of cozy comfort; the property is small but has a homey feel, the best of which is the tree-shaded courtyard with lots of cushy sofa […] groupings to lounge on & socialize, a lovely water/fire feature, and the hotel even put out lap blankets for guest use on the chill evenings we were there. Charming item; each room has its own doorbell (ding-dong). Everything was clean, the beds were very comfortable, the exercise room had a glass water cooler with iced water poured over fresh lime slices, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and we thoroughly enjoyed the idiosyncrasies of the renovated (almost) 90 year old building as well as the tasteful modernizations. The service was excellent. Great valet service for a reasonable price. This particular room was smaller than others we've stayed at here, but still nice. The courtyard is cool to hang out in and you could walk to a lot of things. We will stay here again. Our stay at the Artmore was lovely. The location, funky feel and beautiful courtyard made us feel a bit like we were in Europe. Our only complaint was the shower was in the whirlpool bath making getting in and out a climb. As we are looking to use the hotel for some elderly folks this could be a problem.

A very nice hotel well placed over the road from the MARTA trains but a little far from restaurants etc. The hotel has a lovely courtyard which is very European in style and a nice place to relax.
