I was very disappointed in the room for the price. The bed was uncomfortable and sheets were scratchy. Breakfast was basic at best. I reserved a two bed room because I was traveling with a business partner. I get there and they didn't have one. They called the free upgrade a king suite with a pullout bed. "Good For The Money"
I stayed a weekend here and the room was clean and the staff was courteous and attentive when I asked for help. My room was clean and when I was away Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning. My only complaint was the Housekeeping noise level. I work late and so I sleep in a little later than most people until around 9-10 AM. The Housekeepers were very […] loud in the halls. Doors slamming, Talking and one morning I awoke to them playing music as they worked. This was a Monday morning so most guests were gone as the hotel was pretty full over the weekend. "NOT LIKE THE OTHERS"
The place overall looks nice but, that is a bit misleading. There are some things here that definitely could stand some improvement. For example the television in my room was so old & beat up, there was a whole corner section of the front panel missing. Other places in the area have more updated TVs if not flat panels. The room had been cleaned but I found an individual packet of cream cheese under the edge of the bedspread against the platform of the bed. Thank goodness it was unopened. The bathtub had one of those bowed shower curtain rods. It was hung so high that it hardly kept the water in the shower, now & then resulting in puddles on the floor. Small things? Maybe. Yes. I enjoyed it a lot. I hardly used the TV, but still, it would be appropriate to furnish LCD TVs in the rooms. Would also be nice if you put some decent furniture in the lobby. "Great Value but Buggy"
This hotel is a great value for the area. The front desk staff and courteous and efficient (unless they receive a phone call). The rooms are functional and the beds OK in terms of comfort. Housekeeping is pretty hit and miss but, overall, the hotel is reasonably clean. Except for the bugs...bed bugs, that is. I awoke one morning to find my neck, back, […] arm, and face covered with bites that are unmistakeably bed bugs (round, itchy welts in tight linear patterns of 3s). Management denies that there is a "problem," but it is impossible to deny going to bed without bites, and then waking up with them. I was the only one in the room and I didn't bite myself! Draw your own conclusion, but know that I have spent a very uncomfortable 4 days following my last stay applying hydrocortisone (obtained by prescription following a medical diagnosis) to deal with the itching, swelling, and burning. I thought it odd that I was in the hotel for 2 nights prior to the attack, but was told by my physician that bed bugs typically "dine" every few weeks. I was also told that it can take up to a week for symptoms to appear, so the attack may have occurred during my stay last week (this was my third consecutive week in the hotel). Please note that I was not able to find any previous reports of bed bug problems at this hotel (I always check before staying in a new hotel). Also keep in mind that these critters tend to hitch rides in frequent travelers' luggage, so this may be a new outbreak. What remains to be seen is what the management there intends to do about it.
