Disappointed. First room I was taken to was not cleaned - bed unmade, debris on floor. Second room was clean. Wireless was unavailable from 2nd day and to the end my stay. "Need to get Elevator fixed / more ice machines"

As we walked towards our room (2nd floor) I was smacked by a musty fish smell from the dark green carpet. The first room we got had the TV missing with mounting nuts thrown about on the desk. None of the power points worked, so couldn't charge my phone or make coffee. Called the front desk, they said they would send a repair guy. An hour passes, no […] one comes. "Passable but not pleasable"
We needed to book a hotel because we were helping a friend who had a very early procedure at a nearby hospital. I chose this hotel in particular because the photos led me to believe that we would have a sitting area to lounge in until bedtime. This was particularly important since our friend is rather large and he would be more comfortable lounging […] on a couch. The hotel also offered small appliances, such as a refrigerator, to keep our friend's medication refrigerated. When we arrived, we found that we were not given the room with the sitting area. Rather, we had just the two queen beds and no couch at all. The only seat was a simple office chair. To add to our dismay, we found light bulbs that were burned out (which could not be replaced until the next day), crusted puke on one of the "comforters" (which was little more than a heavy sheet), a toilet seat that would not stay lifted, a bathroom that had mold growing at the ceiling, and a wet floor near the refrigerator. While we waited downstairs in the lobby for our food delivery, the hotel staff couldn't switch off the "night lock" on the main entrance door. The hotel staff was so inattentive, that we ended up played doorman to the hotel guests. Then we had to help the hotel staff improvise a solution to keep the main entryway open. The next morning, we found the breakfast area surprisingly small with a limited selection.To top it off, the packaged sausage biscuits that clearly said, "keep frozen," were room temperature. "Microtel ATL"
The reason I gave the hotel a bad score. 1. the first rm we got someone had smoked in it ( i have chronic asthma) 2. next rm they gave us the key wasn't coded 3. the bathroom had roaches (we killed 6)only in bathroom 4. the air conditioner did work (man came up took front off & put a button) thing didn't come on all night (I thought we were going to […] burn up). 5. next day I spoke with front desk staff ask for another rm (manager upgraded us to a suite) It was nice by then I was upset because I picked this hotel & it was terrible. 6. "Great Value but Buggy"
This hotel is a great value for the area. The front desk staff and courteous and efficient (unless they receive a phone call). The rooms are functional and the beds OK in terms of comfort. Housekeeping is pretty hit and miss but, overall, the hotel is reasonably clean. Except for the bugs...bed bugs, that is. I awoke one morning to find my neck, back, […] arm, and face covered with bites that are unmistakeably bed bugs (round, itchy welts in tight linear patterns of 3s). Management denies that there is a "problem," but it is impossible to deny going to bed without bites, and then waking up with them. I was the only one in the room and I didn't bite myself! Draw your own conclusion, but know that I have spent a very uncomfortable 4 days following my last stay applying hydrocortisone (obtained by prescription following a medical diagnosis) to deal with the itching, swelling, and burning. I thought it odd that I was in the hotel for 2 nights prior to the attack, but was told by my physician that bed bugs typically "dine" every few weeks. I was also told that it can take up to a week for symptoms to appear, so the attack may have occurred during my stay last week (this was my third consecutive week in the hotel). Please note that I was not able to find any previous reports of bed bug problems at this hotel (I always check before staying in a new hotel). Also keep in mind that these critters tend to hitch rides in frequent travelers' luggage, so this may be a new outbreak. What remains to be seen is what the management there intends to do about it. "No Services As Claimed..."
I liked the area and the room was good, other than an extremely slow draining shower. The shuttle service was very delayed whenever I called for pickup. This is a big deal to me and I only select hotels with this service. The computer in the business area was broken, so they claimed, so I was not allowed in the office suite. Again, I choose a hotel […] that has this option and they advertised that they do, but apparently they do not. I think this hotel may be grossly understaffed. For the price and convenience of the location this was good for me, but I will stay somewhere else when I return again to get the services I require with my business travel. "OVERPRICED AND OVERRATED HOTEL."
The Bad: When we arrived at the hotel to check in we found the staff to be very non chalant and unfriendly. When we got in the room we noticed that it was not very clean. I pulled back the bed sheets and found that they had stains on them. The mattress was also as hard as a rock.
