"Controversial Location"
The hotel is well kept and the room was clean and comfortable. My only concern is the strip club directly across the street. Our room faced the club, and the loud noise from the club until late at night disturbed my wife. Some of the hotel clientele looked like they may work at the club.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The staff was friendly and very helpful, but some of the other guests were noisy and slamming doors or talking loudly in the halls and laughing as late as 2 a.m. Several nights we had to leave the fan on in the bathroom to cover noise of other guests or the loud music coming from one of the three clubs located right next to the hotel. Hotel was nice and neat as usual, except for one thing. There was a creepy hand print on my mirror that couldn't be seen unless I had just gotten out of the shower and the mirror was steamed up. "Too much value for so little money!"
Originally my companion and I were going to stay in Atlanta for one night at the W in midtown. But for less than half the price we were able to stay two nights in a room that was very spacious, very clean, and far removed from the traffic of downtown Atlanta. "Microtel in Buckhead for Valentines Day"
We chose this location because we had stayed in Buckhead at a Holiday Inn Express before. This was not exactly the area we remembered staying in though. The area seem to be in a mainly Hispanic area but that was not a problem, At check in the staff was very friendly and helpful going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The lobby […] and corridors looked recently updated with new carpet and paint. We had read in other reviews that the hotel was noisy because of the strip club across the street but we were on the second floor and facing it, we did not hear anything, if you are inside your room with the TV on, I am not sure how you can hear what is going on, but anyway this was not an issue either. The room however, was a little disappointing. It was very small and in need of a really good cleaning and some new carpet and paint. For one person it is OK, for two kind of tight, but it will work.
