"Very nice place"
My family and I really enjoyed the stay at Quality Suites Buckhead Village. The suite was like an apartment which made us feel like we were right at home. The southern hospitality of Dwayne was more than pleasant. My only disappointments were the fact that the shuttle service did not run at the time that it was scheduled and the fact that the pool was […] closed was also a blow. I had a conference in Atlanta, so hubby and I make a weekend of it. The room was surprisingly spacious. There was a cozy living room with a sleeper couch, fireplace and TV. There was a kitchen area with stove, fridge, counters and microwave. The bedroom area had another TV of its own, closet, sink area, toilet and shower. The bedroom had doors to close […] it off from living area, The only negative was there was a condom (unused in wrapper) in the bedroom nightstand drawer. and there was an empty soap wrapper in the shower area - so the room was not cleaned very well. Overall. I liked the hotel. I expected a suite with two double beds but was very pleased to have gotten a two bdrm/ two bath apartment suite. One of the first things I noticed is the lock on the bathroom door was broken, and so was the garbage disposal. The dishes were paper, not microwave friendly. So pleasantly surprised. There were 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 kids. We had 2 two bedroom suites and it was perfect. Each suite had a pullout bed so everyone was comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. This hotel was pretty close to Emory University. I didn't hear enough noise from nearby to bother me, which was impressive since it was the weekend of St. Patrick's day. The parking was a bit of a problem when I came back at 1am to find all the spaces taken except for the 15 minute check-in spots, but I was allowed to leave my car there; I was told […] there was also overflow parking next door for next time. As for the room itself, it was very comfortable. There were no towels in the room when I got there, but the staff brought some up when I called the front desk. The video on the television would go out randomly and come back a minute later; inconvenient, but heck, TVs break. The staff was friendly and helpful when I needed something. "HOTEL- REASONABLE"
It was good , but were in City (Atlanta) for medical. On reservation I specified to have 1st fl due to conditons. Upon arrival was told only "2nd" fl available and NO elevators. Being my daughter who has RA and I my self on hold for Total Knees Replacement, it was sort of an inconvenience. To top it off, "parking" was difficult (tight) in/out typically […] City(Buckhead) location, but also Handicap near by was taken and it was POURING RAIN. So, I did mention to front desk about medical needs, but was told "should of asked in Reservation for a Handicap Rm, will guarantee 1st floor. Guess, putting in "words" (writing) in reservation does not count. We did manage as both my daughter 27, I 58 have dealt w/ many other trying situations and not let this inconvenience get us down. SO if one may be needy special assistance LABEL - HANDICAP Note: Hotel is going under renovations mid summer 2013, so ?? & Rate ?? sure to increase.
