Old, old, old. Trying to compete, not. Half of micro gym eqipment broken. Capets in room and hallways very old. And the biggest dissappointment that could easily be fixed is the room had an old tube tv, seriously.

I never been to a Hotel that on the 7th floor you could here everything going on the street. Windows on balcony had stickers on how to open them, after 10min fighting with the windows I called service and they told me we can't open them (Remove the sticker then). TV was smallest one seen in a while, cabinet didn't close and valet was $30 per day.

I purchased supercross tickets & a weekend at the Melia for my fiancé for Christmas. The lobby & public areas of the hotel were very exactly what i expected-modern & sophisticated. They didn't have the room I booked. The ironin the room had stuff on it, and when I called to request a new one it never showed or if it did it was well after I had to already be at my event! They need to spend a little more money on cleaning the carpet and furniture.

The wife and I saw this hotel and decided to try it out for New Year's. Given the rates and ratings, we assume this was on par with elite hotels like the W. Not the case. For a Deluxe King, the room was small. The bed was uncomfortable. The bath was basic and poorly renovated. My guess is that this used to be an old Days Inn. Will not return.

The balconies they advertise are out of date and therefore they don't want you using them..ours was just a 4" pool of rainwater...just horrible. Then we ran out of hot water and they alerted maintainence who obviously just diverted it from other rooms...took 20 mins or so but seriously...no hot water no balcony

This hotel appears to be pretty trendy, and they try very hard. The decour is pretty nice in the lobby but once you get into the room it's a different story. We visited the Melia for the first time for Dragon Con. I had made a mistake when booking our room and booked a junior suite with a double as opposed to a king sized bed. They were quick to tell me that I wouldn't be as comfortable and upgraded me to the 22nd floor with a beautiful view of Atlanta with no additional cost. It is located steps away from […] Marta and the bus line. It is urrounded by excellent restaurants and right in the heart of all of the action. The only complaint that I had was that one of the pillows on our oh so comfy bed was dingy. Not saying it was used just not cleaned well. One phone call to housekeeping took care of that. The lobby seemed nice enough but was dark; the elevators and hallways smelled damp and mildew; the rooms had very few amenities and the bathroom caulking appeared dirty and very old. I stayed at The Melia Atlanta on Memorial Day weekend. The Sunday and Monday, they had a pool party. The party was open to the public, and had a cover charge and a drink minimum that was even required from hotel guest. The party had a DJ, alcoholic beverages, and a spring break atmosphere. Our room was on the 16th floor and we could clear hear the DJ […] from our room. It was not the atmosphere that I would want my kids to be exposed too, lucky they were not included in this trip. This hotel couldn't be more convenient to the Fox theater. The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful. The biggest complaint were the bathrooms. The hotel is dated and the bathroom floor tiles had a lot of mildew. The toiletries were refilled instead of new which I wouldn't mind except they weren't new to my visit, the seals were broken. The room looked nothing like the picture, room wasn't ready on time. Very outdated. Didn't have a flat-screen TV. The only updates to the room were of the bathroom, it was very nice and had brand new, modern Kohler appliances. We wanted a hotel close to the Fox Theater, where we were seeing a New Years Eve show. The hotel was crowded when we checked in, which was to be expected for New Years, local sports events, etc. Check-in process was quick and easy. When we got to our room, we were very disappointed. In a word, DISAPPOINTING. Granted we stayed over New Year's Eve, but the hotel wasn't prepared for the number of people arriving and valet parking appeared to be way understaffed. We decided to park at the show we were going to and checked in around 1:30 am. At that time there was a line of about 200 people waiting for the elevator to get up to their […] rooms. Thanks to a new employee on staff we were taken up to our rooms through the employee elevators. Overall, the staff was great but I waited an hour and made two phone calls to the front desk for BATH towels this morning, we had washcloths but no bath towels?!!! And because of that delay we missed the breakfast that we paid for with our reservation. Oh, and the skyline view was very nice but when we looked at the balcony this morning it was quite obvious that it hadn't been cleaned in a while (dirt and cigarette butts). Another positive, the bed was very comfortable. Negative: Rusty water in the shower...had to let the water run a bit before showering. The view awesome. I also have to give a big thanks to the gentleman at the front desk, his name tag said trainning.; I can only assume that is not the name his mother gave him. He was curteous and upgraded us to another room when our room choice wasn't promptly ready. The hotel overall was clean and well decorated. The room was clean, but a bit run […] down. The parking garage next door was a little annoying and difficult to get out of, but had nothing to do with the hotel itself. There was a maid that inadvertantly walked in on me and my wife shortly after check in. It made for an interesting evening. The neighborhood around the hotel is certainly an area that I would reconsider walking around in. Met several people who seemed to be having conversations with themselves, and one gentleman was very angry at his alter ego. My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We prepaid using hotels.com and the 1st night everything was fine. It is a nice looking hotel with average amenities. Hotel itself was ok, king room was smaller than most king rooms I have stayed in but for the price and location I guess it wasn't that bad. However there system and customer service wasn't good. Parking is a ridiculous amount, its value but still paid a third of the room rate a night just for it. Stayed five nights and was told they would put a hold […] every night on my acct to cover parking and other incidentals. I asked if I could pay for parking now to avoid all of these holds and was told no because she said that some people often change their mind during their stay and park somewhere else. She also said that if I don't occur any other incidentals I would not be charged any more holds once it reaches the amount to cover the parking. Once it got there I was charged double the nightly rate and called and they said it was a mistake. The third night, my key stopped working and had to go all the way down from the 9th flr and wait in a long line because they were having some kind of magazine party and people were in the wrong line. I even tried to call from the phone by the elevator about three times and no one answered. Tried to go to the pool that night but thats where they were have the magazine thing at and people were lined up at the door. Just too many changes and small things that would make me not go back.. Not for those wanting a nice place to sleep and relax. They have parties there all the time with super loud music blaring from the pool which can be heard in your room. We were on the 14th floor and still the music kept me up half the night. Not to mention all the drunks running around and screaming and slamming doors!

I had a decent stay at the melia hotel the room was dusty the shower drain clogged i had to ask for face towels i requested a refrigerator and it was not there upon arrival it was parking was a rip off overall the view was great and the breakfast was good.
