I loved my stay at the Marriott in Atlanta. The room was impecably clean and presented so beautifully. All of the staff were fantastic and offered us loads of assistance. The hotel is nice and in a convenient location BUT do not let them but u on the 1st floor which is the pool level basement. It's equivalent to the folks at the bottom of the Titanic Ship? "Just awful!"
Booked this hotel and it was admittedly dubbed a "last minute deal". I am familar with the Mariott brand and have for the most part have enjoyed their hotels. This hotel was advertised as a 4 out of 5 stars. This is hardly a one star hotel. We arrived late in the evening to an unfriendly, unhelpful lazy group of employees. We had several bags and two […] sleepy grade schoolers. When we asked for a bag cart we were advised that there were none and no additional help was offered. I asked what time the pool opened because our boys wanted to swim and we were told there were no working pools on site (the site adivsed 2 pools). Once we finally made it to the room, the fan/heater banged and clanged and went on and off. We hardly slept it was so noisy. The next morning, when I went to check out, 2 guests in front of me were complaining about various problems they were experiencing. One of the guests muttered various swear words to the clerk and asked to see the manager. This hotel is a disaster. Unfriendly staff, poorly maintained, horrible place to stay in Atlanta.
