"Not my choice anymore"
The first thing I noticed was the carpet was old and wasfrayed at the entrance to our room, and the dresser was askew and not set properly in the room. The wall paper was peeling. The fixtures were old. The sink was cracked. The tub was an old, ugly style from the 60's. The refrigerator was not in the space properly and was dirty. The cabinet top had […] some kind of sticky substance on it and had not been cleaned. There was dirt in the corners of the bathroom floor. The bed was comfortable and was clean. The room was spacious. We could not change our reservation because we were required to pay for the room in advance with no cancellation without losing our payment. The next morning when our room was serviced, the glasses we used the night before were still there with no clean ones. Coffee was not replenished. "Double tree Suites by Hilton Atlanta"
The hotel was nice, but our vehicle was broken into overnight and our suitcases were stolen. The hotel claimed no responsibility and management made no effort to help with the problems. "Not Happy"
On previous travels, I've stayed at several Doubletree Hotels and have been satisfied with them. I did not like the location of my room because the beroom and sitting room faced the open dining area and all the noise could be heard through the glass doors.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Totally disappointed"
I was attracted to this hotel for the 2 room suite with fridge and free internet. However, when I arrived, the free internet is only in the lobby. The fridge kept leaking under the ice box. The front desk agents were somewhat unfriendly, especially the guy who checked us in...he acted like we were disturbing him by checking in. Worst of all, they didn't […] even clean our room during our 2 night stay. All they did was make the bed and they didn't even do that well (2 of my decorative pillows fell on the floor overnight and they remained on the floor even after the beds were made). I've stayed in lots of hotels, but the for a hotel of this star rating, I've never seen such poor service. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. "Disappointed"
The pictures online sure looked pretty, and there were certainly some "pros" to the Doubletree Guest Suites Galleria. The "cons" will follow. On the plus side, the hotel was conveniently located, there was ample parking, a nice pool deck (the pool itself was miniature) and housekeeping was on point. Otherwise, whew, where to begin? Our suite had an […] array of stains in the carpet that were impossible to overlook. At 3:00 a.m., could hear voices and laughter through the walls. The tub in the bathroom was unappealingly yellowed. The front desk was both overwhelmed and unhelpful. The entire hotel reeked of overpowering disinfectant. Refrigerator in the room was a joke - teeny tiny and barely cold. No bottle opener in the room. Hotel bar didn't open until 4:00 p.m., not willing to lend a bottle opener, not willing to provide poolside service. Noisy hallways with dirty dishes sitting in front of doors. Front desk not able to give local directions. Bed pillows sank to flat with any pressure. Covers on bed unsatisfactory, very weighty and hot. Both televisions came on with one remote which made for confusion, more noise. Shower spigot dripped continuously. "Not worth it"
Our experience at check in should have been the tip off that this was not going to be good - check in felt like a trip to the DMV. The check in attendant was rude and discourteous. The weekend package I paid for included buffet breakfast for 2. He neither mentioned this nor gave us the vouchers for it. He acted as though if it cost him money every time […] he had to check a guest in. There was no "welcome to the doubletree", "enjoy your stay" or "is there anything i can help with or any questions I can answer for you". The rooms weren't clean - we found strands of other people's hair throughout the room. Housekeeping doesn't clean rooms after 3 pm - they are gone by then. The walls and floors were pretty thin - you knew exactly what housekeeping was cleaning when they were in a room and when an occupant in an adjacent room used the bathroom/shower/toilet. Perhaps it was the weekend I happend to be there but there was a party in the adjacent room and a hallway fight/brawl broke out just outside our room. To top it all off, I ordered room service - the DoubleTree signature ice cream sundae - warm double tree cookies, vanilla ice cream with fudge sauce/whipped cream. What I got was cold from the refrigerator cookies with peach ice cream. The only highlight of this place is the staff at the restaurant/bar. They were really polite, courteous and helpful. "Doubletree Galleria"
The rooms are spacious but not cleaned well. The sofa in the sitting room had huge stains on it. And there were tacks with pieces of paper and tape still stuck on the walls from a party I assume. The small refrigerator in the room did not fit into the cabinet and fell out each time you opened it. There was no microwave. The cleaning staff took 3 days […] to clean up dirty dishes that were outside my door when I checked in, only after I had to tellthe front desk two times. WiFI is only free in the common areas you will be charged $10 a day to use it in your room. The work out room is stifiling hot. One of the other patrons said the A/C was broken in there the last time she visited the hotel over 3 months ago, There was only one elevator working for a packed hotel. Was informed it had been that way for over 2 weeks and they were still working on it. If you park in front of the hotel your car will smell like rotten garbage as the chinese restaurant across from the hotel has their dumpster right there. Overall not worth the price.
