One of the primary reasons, I believe, that many people patronize Embassy Suites hotels is the complimentary happy hour. Free drinks are free drinks. But, that being said, the enclosed atrium provides a nice atmosphere, the rooms were clean, and I wouldn't mind staying here again. This particular location featured a Ruth's Chris franchise on the premises […] (basically a walled-off section of the atrium floor) and optional valet parking. Parking is provided underneath the hotel, and the twists and turns down there can be challenging for mid-size sedans, much less large vehicles. We didn't interact with the staff very much, but when we did they were efficient and polite. We took advantage of the free happy hour, and we hitched a ride with the complimentary shuttle (2 mile radius). My criticisms are few, mainly in that the condition of the facilities were a little rough around the edges (a wall fixture missing a screw and hanging cockeyed, a broken leg on the bathroom vanity), but we still found our room to be clean and the location to be very convenient. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The hostess at Ruth Chris gave us incorrect information on the food service in the hotel, the valet service was chaotic and rude. The hotel was in a great neighborhood and convenient to upscale shopping. However, it only had double beds. Since we were on the 15th floor, we had to let our water run 15-20 minutes so that we would have hot water. What a waste of water! First off, I love the decore of this hotel. The guy at the front desk seemed a little overworked though, but still very polite. I had issues with the phone, it stopped dialing out long distance and noone knew and the tech had NO IDEA what he was doing! And another thing I didnt know is that you're paying for local calls.
