Adjacent to Atlanta's Philips Arena, Omni Hotel at CNN Center stands just opposite Georgia World Congress Center. Centennial Olympic Park is a 2-minute walk. Five Points MARTA station, Georgia State Capitol, and Georgian Aquarium are each within a half-mile.

The hotel staff were very nice but the housekeeping staff was GREAT! The maid actually put fresh ice in our room, what a nice suprise when we came back from our event. :) Very nice touch! The CNN OMNI hotel is kind of awkward to access from the MARTA but the there are plenty of resturants to eat at around the hotel. (FYI - if you eat in the CNN plaza […] be aware most restaurants close between 8-9 pm). I loved the Omni. First I got a great deal that was affordable, then the service at the Omni was top notch! They greet you with pure professionalism. Whenever I called down to the desk to ask questions about finding something, they greeted me by my name when they answered the phone, they knew it was me without asking my name. They also brought cookies […] and milk for my daughter at bed time. We were very impressed. The only thing I didn't like was that they have several things in the room that if you touch it, you have to pay extra for. Other than that, everything was exceptional. Plus its connected to the CNN center which has like a mall of restaurants in the same building. It is also connected to the Philips Arena, which we had tickets for a show. My family of 4 had a 24 layover in Atlanta on Dec. 26th on our way to Cancun. We hopped in a cab from the airport and were at the hotel in less than 20 minutes. The Omni Hotel feels very safe on the inside. There are safety officers I suppose because CNN and their staff are there, but once you step out be very careful and watchful. There are lots of open parking lots where you are informed not to leave your car at night, and you might find a thief waiting at your window ready to rip you off, as we did. "Last Minute Trip"
We got a good room for a great price for just a little last min. trip. I loved the location and the view of the hotel at night and during the day. sunset was breath taking. I didnt like that fact that we booked a room the same time there was a christain convention going on. There were about a thousand high school kids staying at our hotel and the weston. […] I did not like that the hotel did not notify us about this and that they did not ask if we would like to stay at another part of the hotel. The Omni had them staying all over the hotel, not in one central location. We waited about 30mins just for an elevator to the top floor to our room. We have a 1yr old child with us and when we are waiting in one spot for too long she gets antzy. The hotel could have had someone regulating the elevators, that would have helped the other people that were not a part of the convention at least get to their room. Room service was great b/c we had to wait a least 1hr in a long line just to eat anywhere in walking distance. We recently stayed for 2 nights at the Omni Hotel. We were in Atlanta for a Falcons game and were looking for the closest hotel to the field so we chose the Omni. We were very satisfied with all aspects of the hotel. We requested early check -in and were in our room by 11 am. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel because it was in the heart of Atlanta and we wanted a good view. Got to the room and all we could see from our balcony was a view of other hotel rooms across a big empty lobby. "Great family hotel--only one complaint."
We had a great stay at the Omni. I will start with my only complaint, and the rest of my review will be positive. Housekeeping was terribly slow in servicing our room. Our room was not cleaned until 5:00pm. We spent the majority of the day out of the room and were certain to make sure the privacy sign was not on the door so that our room would be cleaned. […] With four guests in the room, we knew we would want our towels replaced. I recently stayed in another Omni in VA and had the same experience. For years I recall that housekeeping was likely to come too early, so I'm not sure why this is a problem. When they did come, they asked if we wanted the beds made. Not changed, but made. I found that odd. I am happy to keep the same sheets, but I thought making the bed was a standard practice.Once the room was cleaned, it was done very well. Two adults and two kids, 6 and 8, had plenty of space in our room with two queen beds. The bathroom was large and had everything we needed--even a scale. The hotel health club was great. Lots of treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, weights etc. The facility was spotless, many of the machines had personal tv screens, and the room is open 24 hours. There is also a very nice locker room next to the workout area. The pool and hot tub are across the hall and are well-maintained. The staff was accomodating and polite. The valets were quick to retrieve our car. I read a few complaints about $30/day parking fees. This provided unlimited in/out valet parking privileges. Area parking lots seemed expensive and security could be a concern. We had a very reasonable room rate and I felt this fee was acceptable. Our room had a great view of Centennial Park. For a family, it was nice to be where we could walk to the park, aquarium, and surrounding museums. The CNN center is next door. The food court in the CNN building provides many inexpensive options for those who choose not to spend a lot of money on a quick breakfast. There is a lot I could compliment on about this hotel. Every employee was nice/helpful. My little girl received a backpack filled with nice toys from the check-in desk. The hotel is next to everything, centinell olympic park, coca cola, ga aquarium, childrens museum, ga doom,..all within walking distance.
