I liked the location of the hotel; it was right outside of the major Atlanta city area and was convenient to the highway to get to Atlanta if needed. My husband and I had no problems checking into our hotel room and the hotel staff was friendly. The hotel room was clean, organized and had some nice amenities. The trash cans were a little small, but there was recycling there also. The bathtub and shower were nice; they were roomy and the water got hot pretty quickly. There were few TV channels and no Hallmark Channel and no information button to find something of worth. A real downer. No internet in our room and the lobby internet connect did not work for us. So we had to internet for five days. No free Continental breakfast and the $6.75 option for cold cereal was unacceptable. Bed was comfy and room was clean […] and quite. Staff was freindly and helpful and apologetic. Hotel was overrun by middle school boys on a football trip and ruined things fo r the rest of us. They tracked water into the lobby and hallways, played with the elevators and put bubbles in the jacuzzi and indoor pool. Those were then out of order for four of the five days we were there! Visited with my husband and our two small children, 05/13/11-05/15/11. We arrived at night, and were instantly AMAZED at how nice the hotel was. "Nice Bed! Nice Indoor Pool/Hot Tub!"
My check-in was received by a gentleman who was not very friendly and in my opinion was a complete snob. He needs to go to customer service school! The King Bed, pillow top, bedding was just awesome. The room was clean, bathroom was nice and clean. I wish there was more than one chair in the room. There is a desk chair and a chaise. Great but there […] were two of us trying to enjoy coffee and muffins using the small round table next to the chaise. Not very pratical. Now for the biggie problem we experienced. The door dead bolt would not function properly. It would not lock. Procedure is; from inside the room you throw the dead bolt and the mag key will not unlock the door from the outside. Well...this was not the case. The locks on our room and apparently many others in the hotel (after Security and Engineering did a check on other rooms) had the same situation. The hotel did attempt to find us a room of equal value but this did not come about. I believe they said "all the locks were functioning same like ours". We were there two nights and this discovery was on our first night at Midnight. The following morning we met with the General Manager to inform him what was happening and soon thereafter, Engineering was at our door to repair the lock. The Management of the Hotel compensated us for the security risk we experienced. Also; I understand the other locks in the Hotel were being examined and corrected as well. When we returned to our room the second night, the lock worked without any problems. The noise in the hall was bothersome. We were on the second floor and one morning, there were doors slamming loudly at 7-8AM in the morning. This is not the fault of the Hotel but instead, disrespectful individuals. Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes I would. The lock situation has been addressed and the hotel overall is a very nice place. My favorite was the indoor swimming heated pool and hot tub.
