I had a room on the 9th floor overlooking a side street on a Thursday/Friday. There was a partial view of the city, the room was very quiet, it had "central" air/heat, and you could open the patio door to a tiny balcony. I loved the quality of the furnishings, and the modern style. The room was spacious, had many outlets located at the height of the […] desk/tables where we placed our devices. The TV was huge (to me). The staff were very friendly and professional. However, the towels were thin as mentioned in another post, and far below the quality observed in the rest of the furnishings. "Great for a business trip"
Loved it, got a great deal. The breakfast buffet is excellent if it's free, as it was for me. Not sure I'd pay $15 for it. Location is perfect for downtown conferences, though hardly a holiday destination. "Couldn't have been happier"
I stayed here because I was attending a meeting onsite...and was so happy with my room. It could not have been better. They must be recently remodeled...the bathroom was very hip and the overall decor was upscale and comfortable. I recently stayed at the Downtown Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, and it was a pleasant stay. My room smelled funny (I was in the Radius tower), sort of like cigarettes, though it was a non smoking room. Walk into the Hyatt downtown and you'll be blown away. This is a beautiful hotel with typical Southern Charm. I attended a conference at this hotel and decided to stay as a matter of convenience. I stayed at a boutique hotel one block away for the first night of the conference, and much preferred that hotel's "above-and-beyond" service. Hotel was nice and very busy/nosy with guests(maybe had a convention). Desk clerk was friendly, but slow with check-in and check-out. However, if you had a question after checking in, you had to get back in line. Valet service check in and out was quick and with a friendly staff. Ordered room service and it was on time. "On The Fence"
The hotel is in a great location and the staff was friendly and personable. At a glance the room appeared nice but up close I was disappointed. The room seemed aged and may not have been used recently; slightly damaged furniture, some dust, particularly notable on the remote and in the corners. The bath tub had grey non slip treatments and the showerhead […] was slightly rusted. Fortunately there was a clean bathmat provided. The shower curtain had just a few spots of mold and the sheets were worn with a few off white scuff-like stains and a few holes hidden by the top comforter. I will probably explore alternatives for my next trip to GA. On the other hand, renovations are underway and possibly they've not yet reached the floor on which I stayed. Admittedly, it does not take much for me to be uncomfortable and the little things make me wonder about the flaws I don't see. If you don't sweat the details you'll probably enjoy the room. A colleague stayed at Hyatt Place which was not as convenient a location for the event I attended, however, the room was cozy and inviting and the bathroom appeared cleaner. We have changed everything from the tiles on the lobby floor to the new front desk equipped with state of the art laptops. We also feature a 24 hour “Market”, a brand new “Twenty-Two Story’s” bar and a new concept of Southern style eating in our three meal restaurant “Sway”.

I went to a banquet during my stay and it was awesome. The 22 story lobby was very nice and also gave the glass elevator rides a slight thrill. "A lot of construction"
This is a very standard hotel. The room was a little overcrowded by the furniture; the sliding door could not be opened and there is construction, construction, construction.
