Wasn't in the room much. if I were it was very small wasn't adequately cleaned and stocked when we arrived. There was a glass that sat outside of a door for the entire three days of our stay, old microwave sitting on the floor of the ice area. Laid out only robe, there were two guest. Room was extremely tight. Parking was horrible and way overpriced. […] The desk staff were very pleasant and informative. Parking situation and attends were horrible!!!!!! "Westin - Good Overall But Not Great"
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel overall. My only qualms were regarding the level of customer service I felt like I received (or didn't receive, better yet). I did not feel welcomed when I checked in. Also, once I reached the room, I had to call multiple times to get things sent up to my room. That shouldn't be the case. Also, the hotel is extremely large […] - a little too big and crowded for my liking. I wish the price of a night at the hotel included parking, wireless, and/or breakfast. All those are additional expenses. So it is clean and nice aesthetically, but all these other things made my experience at the Westin less than ideal. So it was just average/good overall. One of the main reasons I took my wife to this hotel was to have dinner at the Sundial Restaurant 73 stories in the air. I found out after checking in that it and the observation deck were both closed for remodeling and wouldn't be open for another 2 or 3 months. I would not have spent $220 per night and stayed there if I had known that the restaurant […] and observation deck were not open. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"up and down"
The good was the hotel was beautiful, well located, and the welcoming team was awesome (bellboys, check in staff). The hotel was extremely noisy. We had to call the help desk 3 times (2 times more than my entire life) about the noise from the hallway, not having a remote, and they would take our dirty towels and not replace them with new ones so by […] the last day, my wife and I were sharing a towel and a hand towel as a rag. I believe this is just a bad weekend. The parking was also full all weekend so I had to find another location. Can't beat the view though. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not even my worst enemy!!!"
My husband and I went to ATL for the Motocross Race @ Georgia Dome with our 3 year old and another couple & their 2 children. When we walked in the hotel it just looked VERY old (smelled it too)... it is desperately crying out for a facelift! After checking in, we walked over to conceirge and asked if we could get directions to someplace to eat, the […] man behind the desk had ZERO expression on his face & looked like he HATED being there. He pointed in a direction & grunted something that not I nor my husband understood. Unfortunately, he wasn't the only staff that was unhappy about his job - when we got to the Sun Dial Restaurant (hotel dining) the hostess said they could not accommodate us for lunch today because she "believed" they were fully committed - what did that even mean?? So I asked if she could please go double check, and so she stomped away unhappy to do so, and when she came back (15 minutes later) she was laughing and flirting with some other staff member and then looked at us suprisingly and said, "You guys are still here?" I was infuriated (to say the least)! How does a hotel with this sort of staff stay in business? I would absolutely NOT recommend this unprofessional and poorly staffed DUMP to anyone... not even my worst enemy! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Doors slamming all night"
I was in Atlanta for a trade show, and I chose this hotel because of its convenient location. My room was on the 65th floor with stunning views, and the room had recently been renovated very tastefully. Only problem with this hotel is that every door when it shuts slams, waking you up. This went on all through the night and got worse once house keeping […] got started early in the morning. It was like being at a hotel full of spring breakers partying all night. For the very high rate that I paid, I would have like some peace and quiet. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"The room with a view!"
I had to wait in line with others for over 15 minutes just to check in. There were only 3 attendants working. Needless to say it started our experience on a bad note. Came in a took a shower, however did not have hot water. Called front desk, within minutes a repairman came and i had hot water. Despite those 2 issues, the room was beautiful! "Not organized and $14 a day for wifi"
This is my first time ever writing a bad review for a hotel. I've stayed all over the world. From very nice hotels, to not so nice hotels. I stayed at the Westin Buckhead a few years ago. That was a very nice hotel. I booked this hotel for the SEC Championship game. While it was very close to the Georgia Dome, I wish we had stayed at the other one. […] When we got to the hotel, nobody offered to help with our bags and we had to park and walk down eight flighs of stairs. When I asked for help, they told me that my boyfriend needed to pull back up to the front of the hotel. When we finally got to our room, it was 80 degrees and had two doubles and I requested a queen. Our mini fridge was locked, so I called down to the front desk to get a key and nobody ever came. What really made me mad was the wifi. It's $14 a day which is crazy! I understand that it was a crazy weekend, but I felt that the hotel staff was not prepared for crowd control. Also, I did not appreciate being overcharged for internet service that is free everywhere else! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The parking at the hotel was terrible. You could not find a parking space and had to just squeeze in anywhere you could find. We were there less than 24 hours and had to pay $44 for parking. "Nice hotel, noisy rooms, congested part of town."
The hotel is a decent place to stay; however, there is inadequate acoustic insulation. Unless you turn the air conditioning fan on, the noise penetration will make it impossible to sleep if you are sensitive to noise when sleeping. I requested a room away from the elevators and ice machines, because I am sensitive to noise. Though I booked the room […] more than a week in advance, my room was directly across from the ice machine. The hallway is narrow, so it was literally just outside my room. A humming sound kept me awake the entire night. I realized in the morning that it was the ice machine motor that was causing the sound. Even when no one was filling their ice buckets, the motor noise was very disruptive to a normal night's sleep. When I arrived at the hotel, I entered their parking facility after retrieving a ticket at the entrance gate. I drove through the entire facility and did not find a single empty spot. There was no notice outside that the lot was full. I thought I would have to pay $2.00 for the initial entrance into the lot; however, I was able to leave without a charge. I found easy parking in the municipal lot across the street that was less expensive ($15.00 per day) and recommend parking there, rather than at the hotel, if price is a consideration. We ended up getting moved to a better room after asking for a new one because we had a view of the side of a building and a parking deck. So all rooms do not have a view of the city like they say. "Not the great hotel it tries to be"
There was not hotel parking only 'pay' for parking lots which were somewhat expensive. The valet parking was high. No restaurant / eating option for the afternoon - evening in the hotel, other than the very expensive one on the top level of the building. I booked a room with a King Size bed and was given a standard room with 2 queen beds. Great view […] of the dumpster! Only real positive was the shower. No running out of hot water but the bathroom was cramped especially for more than one person. The hotel was ok but I would choose a different one if staying in downtown Atlanta again in the future. "Disappointing"
Not Pet Friendly. Hotel advertises that it is pet friendly however, it has no designated pet area. You have to take your pet several blocks away from the hotel to use the bathroom. We were on the 64th floor and we didn't feel very safe having to walk several blocks away from the hotel late at night just so that our dog could use the bathroom We were […] unable to get a refrigerator in the room. The advertised "HEAVENLY" bed was awful. The matress was very hard and uncomfortable. You must use a key card to access the elevator in order to get up to your room. I was left a little dissapointed. The bed side alarm went off at 5:30 in the morning. We wanted to sleep in. Also, the TVs are not wide screen. Most programming is now inside screen, so some of the picture was cut off. I expect a hotel of this caliber to have nice TVs. Also, the valet parking was not convienent. The room I got was on the 63rd floor, and clearly was an older room. Decent condition, clean, and a nice view, but clearly old particle board furniture, and just so so. Smelled fine. "Good, But Not Fabulous."
This hotel is currently undergoing a renovation. It seems that because the hotel is under renovation, that perhaps the overall attitude of appearance of the areas not renovated are not considered. Presently, much of the spaces are a little tired or need some attention. This could be a great hotel, it's just a little worn out. Everyone I came in contact […] with was friendly (except at Starbucks). The purpose for my stay was for a conference which was in the hotel. All of the food and service staff provided by the hotel for the conference was very good. My room was missing a lot of Westin "standard" items, so it seemed more like a 2.5 star hotel stay. In that regard, I was a little dissapointed. My room also smelled a little musty/moldy, but it was clean. The furnishings were really tired. There was a rack and a roll-a-way bed outside my door for the entire 3 days I stayed in the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Westin Atlanta"
I was disappointed in this hotel. The room was fine in size but the beds were not properly fitted with sheets and the toilet was cracked leaking water on the floor. The pool was not heated and the water tasted this salt. Other than that the room was good. Location was great and we had a great view of Atlanta from the room on the 65th floor. You'll need to watch your credit card though for unauthorized charges. "Breathtaking views, and that's about it."
Went here for a conference which was located in the hotel, and my wife joined me a day later for a weekend getaway. Business: Conference rooms were well equipped with ample room and seating for everyone. Catered continental breakfast and boxed lunch was better than usual, and had something for everyone. Hotel staff were well aware of the conference […] and were quickly and efficiently able to direct all of us to the right area. Pleasure: Stayed on the 49th floor. Room had a breathtaking view of the downtown area. Huge windows at the back end of the room made you feel like you could almost fall out. Not for the faint of height. Bed was firm but not lumpy, and no difficulty sleeping for me or my wife, though we tend to like beds on the firmer side. Rest of the room left a lot to be desired. Bathroom was incredibly small. Shower head was low. Carpet was dirty. No mirror in the main bedroom area, so got quite crowded in the bathroom. Hair dryer was missing it's buttons, so we had to jam a comb in there to turn it on (safety first!). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

There was trash in the hallway when we went down for breakfast, and it was still there the next day when we checked out. It just needed to be vacumed but it never was. The room for a standard room was very large. We had a double bed and was able to put up a portable crib and still had room to move around with ease. The view was great! The bathroom tub […] looked like it needed to be redone. The Cafe has a breakfast buffet which was kind of expensive but it was the equivalant to a contiental breakfast at other hotels I have stayed at. Parking at the hotel was priced outrage and was a little uneasy feeling when there are signs all over stating to make sure you take all personal belongings. The staff there was very friendly though, and the location was great. We were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to go. When booking a room in a Westin property I never question the exceptional quality experience ahead of me. With this trip, I was extremely disappointed. The lobby and staff were wonderful but the room was so below par I couldn't believe it. The wall paper in the bedroom was coming off the wall at the seam, the TV was an old tube television, there were […] limited outlets to use for electronics, the bathroom was so small my husband and I couldn't stand in it at the same time, the pillows were all feather and when asked for foam, they sent up shredded foam that was as flat as the feathers.
