"Disappointment all around"
Room was tired and old. Shower controls worked so hard, my wife and kids didn't have enough strength to lift the sluggish knob. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Worst part of room was that the a/c didn't work and it was miserably hot all night long. Kids wanted to swim in pool, but when we got there, there were no towels. Then we noticed the water […] was all cloudy and gross. Management said they would check it out, but after 20 minutes we gave up and went back to our hot room. Happy we were only in town one night. Ugh! We booked a king room and when we checked in we got a standard. When we approached the desk the employee said thats all they had available and that Expedia does not allow you to pick room size. After several minutes of arguments we decided to leave it be. We went back to our room to get ready to go out for the evening only to find our room had […] no hot water in the shower. Then to top it off the was what sounded like a party in the room next to us. We had an awful night sleep. Needless to sa y we will not be staying at another double tree. A very disappointing stay. Small room. Each day something was missing from the coffee service. $10/day per device internet access. The ice machine on my floor was broken for 2 days. The pillows are small and all the same (we like a variety as we have different preferences) We had to manuever through tables setup for a convention to get to/from the […] pariking garages which isnt convienient in the first place. The sportsbar food was quite disappointing and when we went to the wine bar for a quieter venue, it was closed for a private party. If you need breakfast before heading off to the airport, dont get there at 6 AM. They dont wake up until 6:30 (which was too late for us). This will be my last stay at a double tree because they are much more concerned about groups at the expense of the individual.
