The Terrace - The Terrace serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. The Lobby Lounge - This ornate but relaxed lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic views of the Horseshoe Garden. Tiffin at The Langham is served in The Lobby Lounge Monday–Saturday from 1 PM to 4 PM. Chocolate Afternoon Tea is served Sundays from 12 noon to 3 PM. The Tap Room - The Tap Room is a stylish bar and lounge featuring classic and innovative handmade cocktails, a unique wine selection, premium artisan beers on tap, and upscale bar bites. Live music Thursday - Saturday nights. The Hideaway - Poolside café serves beer, wine, tropical cocktails, and light snacks. Open seasonally. Langham Club Lounge - Exclusive to guests staying on the Langham Club level, with food and beverage presentations served throughout the day, including continental breakfast, light lunch, afternoon snack, cocktails & hors d'oeuvres, and after-dinner sweets and cordials.
Relax by the heated pool in a luxurious lounge chair or under a private cabana, while indulging in food and drink from The Hideaway pool bar and enjoying views of the legendary Picture Bridge. A heated whirlpool is located just under the picture bridge overlooking the Japanese Garden. Three lighted tennis courts may be reserved for a fee; racquets and balls are available, and private or small-group lessons can be arranged (surcharges apply). The Fitness Center is located in The Huntington Spa and features a variety of state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment, weights and a fitness studio. Personalized fitness sessions and a variety of fitness classes including yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and kick boxing are offered in the fitness studio. The Fitness Center is open Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 9 PM, Saturday and Sunday from 6 AM to 8 PM. Hotel guests may use the fitness center, spa sauna, steam room, and locker-room free of charge. Bicycles are available for rent through The Huntington Spa. The spa staff will also recommend safe, scenic jogging routes of 1-5 miles. Concierge can arrange hiking, horseback riding, and trail biking in the Lower Arroyo Recreation Area, about 2.5 miles north of the hotel. The Arroyo-adjacent Brookside Recreation Area is home to the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center and 2 golf courses; additional courses are nearby. The Angeles National Forest, beginning about 3cmiles from the hotel, offers outstanding hiking, biking, and picnicking. "Less than expected"
The hotel is a very nice property, but on this visit the service was sub par. The pool was closed to regular guests for several days, which was a disappointment. We were very satisfied with the hotel staff. What was frustrating was the pool was closed one of the days while there and we were unable to use the area. Of course it was the only day of our trip the weather was nice enough to be at the pool. It was closed due to the filming a movie. The other thing that was frustrating was that the movie had dogs in […] it and the barking at 5 am right under our window was obnoxious. The price of the room was over priced for the disruptions we experienced. The last complaint I have is the charge to valet park your vehicle was listed at a certain price per night for hotel guests and another price for day use or visitors. Why were the coffee pots located outside, at the parking lots, near the valets? and only until 9am? No coffee in the room. Add $25 a day to the bill - it's necessary to have a car in Pasadena, and there's no where else to park it, so you'll be paying for valet service. Overall a very swanky old school fancy hotel with attention to detail. I don't like that they charged for wireless internet, even Starbucks gives that away. And drinks like sodas and and waters and juices should also be free. They need to replace the carpet, it was in terrible shape and really bothered me. And for goodness sakes, please get better coffee. […] Look at the Palomar for this, they got it right. "Perfect Hotel to Chillout In While Staying In LA"
I am a little torn about writting this as I feel like this place is my secret getaway spot in LA. It is perfect if you have business in Downtown or in the Valley. Not so good if you have business on the westside due to cross town traffic. If you want the same feel in a hotel on the westside stay at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I like the Langham/Huntington […] so much I have tried to stay here and drive over to the westside and it is torture. However if you want to do Universal Studios with the family and work in some culture with the Huntington Library or the Norton Simon while you are in LA this place is perfect. I love the new restaurant and the bar/lounge that looks out on the horseshoe garden. My other favorite thing is to go walking around the neighborhood the hotel is located in rather than going to the gym. Tree lined streets with amazing domestic architecture. If you love the architecture of Greene and Greene and Wallace Neff you will enjoy this as much as I do. If you are looking for a hotel that is more like a nightclub or you want to run into the reality TV celebrity of the month this is NOT it. This is a place to go to chill out. Some reviews have said the hotel is stuffy. I actually like the old world flavor of the public rooms. Not every hotel has to be a stripped down tribute to modernism. I was in LA area for business June 15 -19. My spouse and child joined me to enjoy the hotel while I worked. I think chose poorly, took a business club room with access to concierge lounge. All felt as though needed to be brought up to date, a little outmoded.
